Solaris thanks him for the gold pieces and divides it into 5gps each. “Why don’t we go to the armor/weapon place and then hit up that rebrand hideout he said there was treasure that sounds up your ally Autzen. I just want to go improve my skills beating evil beings who are bent on terrorizing this town.”
“I am not one for drinking and whoring, I wouldn’t mind checking out the weapons and armor if that what interests you. What definitely interests me is this Rebrand Hideout, he did mention that Cragmaw Castle was somehow tied to the Rebrand and it may provide the location of the castle and at a minimum more information. If you desire some alcohol and women before we head out let’s do so after seeing about weapons and armor. We can go from there to the bar and rest up before we head out in the morning.” Replies Adolmain
“I would like to secure lodging at the inn Sildar recommended and also see about some upgrades to our weapons and armor before we take on these retreads, or whatever silly moniker they have given themselves. I think it wise to gain intel on them at the pub they frequent first rather than wander into their den, this manor. One thing we can all agree on is that I would like to free the people of this town of the shadow of these dishonorable theives and hopefully return some of the ill gotten loot to the rightful owners.”
Adolmain replies “I think we are in agreement. We shall head over secure a room at the hotel, then on to the weapons/armor guy and finally a few drinks before heading out in the morning for the Rebrand hideout.”
You leave the trading post headed to the Stonehill Inn. The town begins to awaken form its sleep, as you see a variety of people and creatures walking the streets, all appearing to be in a hurry. Stray dogs and cats rubble for scraps, among the poor and beggars.
You walk down a Main Street and four humans wearing grimy red cloaks walk by you. They turn around about 10 feet from you and one of the men says, "Hey creatures. How much for the pet?" he says, pointing at Rastin. "I've always wanted a dragon for a pet. Why not him?" I'll give you 10 copper pieces for him." The group laughs.
"This town should be human only." one of the humans spits. "Can't even believe they let you kind live among us." The human's voice is slurred, but not slurred enough to impact him in battle. The humans are armed with short swords and leather armor.
"What say you devil man? 10 copper? Better take it or we might just take it by force." the Rebrand says with a wicked smile. "I'd prefer not to hurt you. Ah ****, actually, I would prefer to. What you say for the pet?"

The larger one replies to Adolmain, clearly not impressed. "Ahh…we have a loudmouth among us boys.. Because you don't know how to keep your mouth shut, we will have a new deal. You give us all your weapons and armor, and the baby dragon, and we'll let the rest of you live….today. That's a good deal. I suggest you take it *****."

A wide smile crosses Autzen's face... this is a situation he can fully get behind. Killing humans had always given him a warm feeling. A single word immediately came to mind, 'culling'... the reduction of population by selective slaughter... it's a fitting word for what was to come next.

Rastin decides this isn’t the opportune time to fight these imbeciles. Better to upgrade our weapons and armor first. Also, if we encounter them master in the day, they are very likely to be impaired this giving us a distinct advantage. Mere words, especially from these scumbag humans who are clearly beneath him and his companions, will not get a rise out of him.
Rastin steps forward and with his calmest voice attempts to deescalate this charged situation. “Gentlemen, you raise an interesting matter worthy of further discussion. This is clearly your town and why should you not have a say in who is allowed visit? And you made my companions an intriguing offer. While I am not interested in being anyone’s pet, perhaps you will be able to persuade my colleagues it is worth their while to accept your money in exchange for their Dragonborn aquaintance. If I may be so bold, allow me to buy you all a drink this evening and we will debate your interesting proposition. What say you?”
Rastin hopes this gambit will prevent any bloodshed, at least for now. There is a time for fighting and while that time may yet come, perhaps it can be avoided or at least engaged under more favorable conditions. (Persuasion 8)

The lead bandit listens to Rastin, nodding as if in approval of what he is saying. Perhaps Rastin made a breakthrough with words, and not the sword….
"Well said dragon boy." he says,
"We're always looking for new friends" he says mockingly.
"And you ain't it." the bandit says flatly.
The Redbrand looks behind and says, "Thonol, shut his beak for me please."
The smallest of the Redbrands (4) gulps, and lets out a weak war cry and sprints past his leader to Rastin (M5). Though small in stature, Rastin and his companions notice that these men appear more able at combat than the roughshod goblins they fought before. The bandit swings hard (Attack Roll: 19 ). The hit is true (Damage: 3), drawing blood from the Dragonborn.
With cat like reflexes, the bandit swings at Rastin again, not content with just one hit (Attack: 15 ). The follow-up attack misses.

As he feels the blade slice through his defenses, surprised that this coward was able to cut him, Rastin realizes he must respect the abilities although not the men. (Attack 18 Damage 9)
