AREA 38 - THE MINISTER'S QUARTERS
"When we returned to this long-abandoned lair, we soon discovered that a giant crocodile prowled in the marsh nearby. Crocodiles are sacred to this tribe and we regard its presence as a good omen. You see, we have much experience with crocodiles and thus perceive it as not dangerous. Our complacency was shattered when the giant crocodile attacked and devoured three members of a lizardfolk patrol that had paused near its lair recently. The difficulty facing us is that we cannot and will not attack the crocodile, for its kind are sacred to us. Since the first attack, matters have grown worse. The giant crocodile has attacked my people engaged in routine patrols of the marsh, killing and eating many. Because the crocodile’s lair lies close to a possible route of approach of a sahuagin attack, we dare not leave the area unpatrolled. There would be no violation of sacred taboo if you were to kill the giant crocodile on the queen’s behalf. In fact, the queen demands the head of Thousand Teeth be brought to her so that she might add it to her collection. THAT would earn MUCH favor. We call the beast Thousand Teeth."
Should you accept the task, the Minister hands you a potion of superior healing. Misha stands, excited at the chance to destroy this horrible beast in a chance to gain honor and glory for herself and her friends, and increased reputation with the Alliance.
"I accept your task. I will merely need to retrieve some of my crew before I do so." Carrhae accepts the potion and returns to the Belle of the Sea. "Kali, Syltra, I have finished the negotiations, but there is one last thing that needs to be done before we have the approval of the Alliance. We need to slay a Giant Crocodile known as Thousand Teeth. I figured that I should bring the two of you along, since this is more of your thing than negotiations."

Thousand Teeth’s pool is located along the Dunwater River, about twelve miles inland from the lizardfolk lair. The marsh was difficult terrain, which turned the 12-mile trek into an 8-hour journey. The ground eventually sloped downward into a tangle of marsh trees and a blanket of mist. Squishing our way into the shallow valley, you arrive at a large pool of brackish water. The pool is sixty feet in diameter and shaded by a canopy of vines and twisting branches. A gurgling stream at its northern edge feeds the pool. A few yellowed bones are visible in the shallows, and you see a massive muddy mound rising from the pool’s center.

Misha slammed her hammer on her shield. Such a massive beast, and an opportunity to earn honor and glory?? Today WAS a good day.
Her hammer glowed red and she grunted loudly as the croc rapidly emerged from the water, sidestepping a wee bit to gain some leverage when it was time to bring the hammer down.

Thousand Teeth.
Syltra smiles, and formally salutes. "Aye, Cap'n," she says. "I'd be proud to accompany you."
She regrets her words about halfway through the journey, when the muck from the marsh has seeped into every crevice of her lower armor.
