As Zack brings his sword around for his seemingly unprovoked attack on the Kenku, Gribz will fire his crossbow. Gribz is aiming for the ground between the two, hoping to diffuse the situation. (He saves the wolf that tried to kill us but wants to kill this little guy? C'mon Zack... Enough killing already!)
(OOC: I can post another attack roll if my previously readied attack roll won't do.)
(Ooc - I dont want to kill the players character, especially since Ive played with him before. But like I said ... he Came at us in the middle of the night, while we were weak and recoving, tries to scare us off to 'check our camp' and says he here to collect what was missing/stolen for someone we've never heard of.. so in meta I know this, but in character I do not, so my guy is reacting as someone who's just been approached in the described situation would someone suspicious. Ultimately its DM discretion what ultimately happens, and I will abide by it.
One solution is for someone to stabilize him, since he will get death saves)
OOC: Or, you could just not attack him since he hasn't threatened us in any way... Gribz doesn't condone murder and will do his best to make sure Zack is brought to justice for his crime should he kill the Kenku.
Zack swings towards the Kenku just as Gribz fires off his bolt between both Zack and Shiv. It stops them both in their tracks before Zack gets a quick hit in with the hilt of his blade, rendering the Kenku unconscious.
(OOC - If Zack would do this then we can’t stop his character from being himself. It’s not a dig at anyone or a silly thing to do. It’s role playing and that is what this game is all about)
With all the noise coming from the surroundings, Chad comes too. He looks around to find most everyone gone as an altercation with a bird person takes place. Chad watches as Zack takes a shot at this bird for no reason. As the bird fall unconscious, Zack tells himself that Zack is out of control. Chad charges up a volley of magic missiles and sends them toward Zack. Damage: 14
Like I said, Chad feels Zack is out of control. Chad rushes down and stands over the two fallen adventures. Chad keeps his wand trained on Zack.“What in the **** happened here? Zack is out of control!”
(OOC initiative 22 If he attacks Shiv will fight back, I am at Easter though)
(OOC I was confused as to why I was automatically Knocked out without either of us rolling and then I scrolled back and saw the readied action. I understand now!)
Gribz will run over to Zack and the Kenku with Chad. "I'm not sure what's going on... This bird guy came out of the woods and exchanged some words with Zack. Zack just... Flipped or something, I don't know... But he attacked it for no reason that I could see." Gribz will turn to Chad "You did the right thing. Hopefully this bird guy lives and we can find out what's going on or Zack will have a murder to answer for... I'll see if I can revive the bird, but we should restrain them both first."

With the Kenku's blood flowing between his hands, Gribz will call over to Lilith "Lilith! Are you awake? We need some help here!"
Gribz attempts to help the Kenku but the anatomy of a bird person is slightly different to what he knows, things are a bit more straight forward with trying to bring Zack around.
“From what I could tell, the bird didn’t do anything. At least that’s how I saw it.” Chad is going to help tie up Zack and take Zacks weapons. “What is everyone else’s thoughts?”

Gribz fumbles with the ropes he's trying to tie the two up with and says "That's what I saw... I don't know what was said, but I see pretty well in the dark and I didn't see any reason to try and kill the bird guy..."

Nadia couldn't help but release a sigh of irritation from her lips as she looks dead eyed at the downed kenku and now a downed teammate that she watches Gribz try to resuscitate from Chad's attack. "Estoy rodeado de idiotas." She grumbles as she watches the goblin and wizard tie up the stranger and Zack. "I'm pretty sure Zack wouldn't attack this random bird guy without reason. He may not have seemed threatening to you guys, but who knows since neither of you actually heard the conversation they were having. We'll find out once either of them wakes up." (At least Lilith has a brain.)

We didn't know if he'd go after you too. If we were wrong, I'll apologize to Zack myself, but we were acting on what we knew in the moment. Once these two come to we'll figure this all out."
Lilith places a hand gently on Chad's arm, attempting to calm him. "Calm down, Chad. We don't know what actually happened. You may have seen one thing, but something else entirely could've occurred. For now, instead of making assumptions, let's wait for Zack and the bird person to awaken so we can ask them what happened. Only then can we make accurate judgement."
