Zeds eyes light up as he sees the weapons. He thinks for a moment before grabbing the stacks of crossbow bolts and throwing them over his shoulder. He then leaves the room and heads to the 2nd floor.

Zed reaches the second floor, to meet the four suits of armor around the hall and will also notice the Durst family portrait. The library and conservatory can be found on this floor.
Urgog grunts in acknowledgement of what Cinna says and looks at Kestrell again. "Thinking of a gift for your kids, Kestrell?" Looks at Eldon, "Slow down. We need to think this through. You seem to have a spirit in you. It could be affecting you."
Eldon opens up the door to the storage room, to see the same thing that Urgog saw. This dusty chamber is packed with old furniture (chairs, coat racks, standing mirrors, dress mannequins, and the like), all draped in dusty white sheets. Eldon spots something near an iron stove, underneath one of the sheets. He's able to see a wooden trunk that is ajar.
Cinna follows Eldon around, not sure what to do for him, but not wanting to leave him alone either. "Eldon? What are you doing? Are you sure you're fine?"
Xavice walks into the kitchen. The kitchen is tidy, with dishware, cookware, and utensils neatly placed on shelves. A worktable has a cutting board and rolling pin atop it. A stone, dome-shaped oven stands near the east wall, its bent iron stovepipe connecting to a hole in the ceiling. Behind the stove and to the left is a thin door leading to a well-stocked pantry. All the food in the pantry appears fresh but would taste bland if consumed. Xavice will spot the dumbwaiter in the southwest corner of the kitchen, which was discovered on the upper floors. The dumbwaiter is a 2-foot-wide stone shaft containing a wooden elevator box attached to a simple rope-and-pulley mechanism that must be operated manually. He would recall that the dumbwaiter would go into the Servant's Quarters on the second floor, and into the Master Bedroom on the third floor.
Urgog grimaces as he looks down at Kestrell. "Why are you crying? Maybe the spirit needs something in order to be at rest. Think, small one, what would help a spirit be at rest?"
Zed is scouting the rooms of the second floor meticulously. Upon close inspection of one of the bookshelves in the back corner of the library, he'll notice a red-covered book with a blank spine book that has no dust around it, while every other book is covered with dust. Zed curiously grabs the book, and opens it to see that there's a hidden door that leads into a secret room.
This secret room contains bookshelves packed with tomes describing fiend-summoning rituals and the necromantic rituals of a cult called the Priests of Osybus. A heavy wooden chest with clawed iron feet stands against the south wall, its lid half-closed. Sticking out of the chest is a skeleton in leather armor. Close inspection reveals that the skeleton belongs to a human who triggered a poisoned dart trap. Three darts are stuck in the dead adventurer’s armor and rib-cage. The dart-firing mechanism inside the chest no longer functions.
Clutched in the skeleton’s left hand is a letter bearing the seal of Strahd von Zarovich, which the adventurer tried to remove from the chest. Written in flowing script, the letter reads as follows:
My most pathetic servant,
I am not a messiah sent to you by the Dark Powers of this land. I have not come to lead you on a path to immortality. However many souls you have bled on your hidden altar, however many visitors you have tortured in your dungeon, know that you are not the ones who brought me to this beautiful land. You are but worms writhing in my earth.
You say that you are cursed, your fortunes spent. You abandoned love for madness, took solace in the bosom of another woman, and sired a stillborn son. Cursed by darkness? Of that I have no doubt. Save you from your wretchedness? I think not. I much prefer you as you are.
Zed quickly snatches the letter out of the hand of the skeleton and pockets it. He quickly leaves the room and shuts the hidden door behind him. He replaces the book on the shelf and heads back upstairs to where the hidden passage was to climb the stairs to the attic.

Zed moves up to regroup with everyone else in the attic. Eldon will hear a distinct noise emerging from the corner of the Storage Room. The noise is generated from the wall shifting, to reveal a hidden door.
Urgog looks at Kestrell, growls in frustration. Dealing with others was so tiring. The woods where he roamed was a lot less stressful. "Kestrell, you are not alone. I am standing right here."He looks around the room and then at the bones of the children on the floor. He wonders if they should leave them laying there in this room. He leans out the door looking for Cinna and Eldon. "What are the customs for burial? In the forest and my gang, we buried our dead. Is it the same for everyone else?"
Eldon shifts the door open. An abundance of dust floats around while the hinges squeak loudly. Once the dust is settled, and Eldon has fully opened the door, he'd see a narrow spiral staircase made of creaky wood which is contained within a 5-foot-wide shaft of mortared stone. Thick cobwebs fill the shaft and the light barely penetrates the staircase, as if the darkness were consuming the light.
