Az Emberi brings his beatin' stick down on the "hideous eye creature" that has been living in this cave long enough to amass a number of skeletons to be considered difficult terrain. Right in its big, *******, eye. It goes limp in Absinthe's arms, eye cracked open like an egg.

I agree now let's see what loot was so precious that it was worth abbandoning the team for also I wonder if someone doesnt contribute to a fight if they deserve any loot.
You now have time to look over what was in the creature's chest, which you gather is the belongings plucked from all the people he ever ate. There is: 160 sp, 120 gp, five malachite gems (15 gp each), two potions of healing, a scroll of augury, and a longsword in a silver-chased scabbard. The sword is inscribed with the name “Talon,” and its hilt is worked in the shape of a bird of prey with outspread wings. Anyone can make a History check to recall the lore surrounding this blade.
Everyone receives 90 XP for defeating the Nothic.
There is dim light coming from the room to the North, and the 3 hallways, none of it reaches as far as the natural cave, though. Hymir's lighted rock is still out, and Az Emberi's bonfire is still lit for now, bathing most of the cavern in bright light.

Hymir remembers like it was yesterday when he read the book about a great knight named Aldith Tresendar, known as the Black Hawk. Sir Aldith died fighting off the orcs that attacked through the hidden caverns below this manor. Talon must have been lost here until the nothic found it.

okay everyone we may need to take a small rest but something we could do is use this scroll to see if it would be a good idea to continue down this hall without taking a long rest
"Does any one need to sit a spell? There looks to be a room up ahead with supply stores, we might find something useful." Fjolnir creeps forward a few feet to try to peek into the room with crates and casks. "Hopefully we haven't alerted anyone with the scuffle..."
look, you guys rest, take a moment. You did great.... under my swell leadership. I say fully, and obviously with sarcasm. I'm just going to check out that corner east of that bridge that almost killed me. I'm sure it's a dead end.
Dirk even sarcasticly you are not the leader you spent multiple attack opportunities to loot in the middle of a battle, and we have told you this before if you go exploring by yourself instead of waiting here while we rest you might alert something and we will be forced into battle unrested
I spent, 1 attack opportunity since I was already down there... and the opportunity I did get was still very much lackluster. If I was nearly as capable a fighter as any of you I would have your same priorities. Furthermore, this looks like a dead end, as it is very near the entrance, far from the boxes or the stairs. Does someone who doesn't need to rest want to join me?
you spent one searching the chest and the second looting you aren't as bad as fighting as you think and just because you missed once doesnt mean you can leave us all high and dry because "it probably wouldn't matter anyway"
"I believe we should explore together. We ate most successfull when we pile it on. The stote room has no potential for leading elsewhere. Lets check that first then we can search your forshadowed dead...end"
The last time I hit something I thunked it in the back of the head with a lucky shot. The last time I stabbed something was before I knew you were just as much human as every other meat bag I've ever come across. You were never high and dry, Absinthe dominated that creature like he's done with all foes since I met him. I take offense to your comments sir, when the situation demanded it I rose to the occasion, I threw my life at it when it didn't even matter in the end but because I sensed the peril. My tone raises as I gesture pointing to the ground. How dare you question me, here... now.

Absinthe gives the creature one last tight squeeze and whispers; "I will do better to not fail you in the future Master."
Then I throw the creature into the chasm as if spiking the game winning touchdown at the super bowl.
