(Did Soar see Asmodai split up the gold or was that done secretly? If she sees, she'll suggest, optimistically, that perhaps Asmodai meant to split the non-tavern gold to each of the party members who risked their lives to end the necromancer threat. She's fine for others to take whichever items they wish... she just asks that if someone doesn't want something, that they sell it for tavern money.)
It was done secretly.

Sir Ambrose is surprised to see Soar carrying a robed figure. "So you found someone after all? I must say, I am surprised... Please tell me exactly what happened."
Soar dumps the necromancer on the ground with a sigh of relief, and then begins describing how she did her best to search out the most likely places in the City that a necromancer might be.
"Then we saw some disturbed graves, over in the Forgotten Yards, you know, next to the service trail that the common folk use most of the time? We waited nearby for nightfall and then we saw six skeletons arrive and begin to try to dig up more graves with their hands! Here's the skull of one of them to give you an idea of the age of the graves he was going for," and she hands it over to Sir Ambrose.
"There were six of them, and we fought them and vanquished them. Their bones are still there. We saw bootprints running away from the scene and caught up to this fellow here, who had that staff and that dagger over there. He fought us, and tried to steal our life force with evil magic through his hands. We had to revive Dwaye over here, who nearly died from it. I tried to figure out where he might have come from but couldn't find any clues. I've heard tales of some in our order being able to speak with the recently deceased -- perhaps that would be fruitful?"
"This is truly a city of splendors. Skeletons walk, your people have conversations with the dead, and your house is haunted? Is this unusual or do the dead not stay dead in Waterdeep?

Sir Ambrose is impressed. "I judged you wrong, Soar; you and your friends are quite competent investigators, and fighters. Keep with the ways of Kelemvor, child." Sir Ambrose arranges for you each to receive 100 gold as reward for your good deeds.
Soar smiles at the question and explains the difference between the City of the Dead, a graveyard, and Waterdeep, the city in which it rests. She also explains about the tavern and suggests Heia stop by some time.
She thanks Sir Ambrose and spends a couple more hours of the night helping him take care of the rest of the remains and get things squared away. She arrives back at the tavern and collapsing into her bedroom near the turret, exhausted.
Kiric wanders through town, a blanket wrapped around his shoulders to ward off of the cool night breeze. He begins to look for the tavern the others mentioned when they spoke about their previous adventures. He also keeps an eye out for interesting shops.
Asmodai gives the staff to Heia, not waiting for any other responses, as he feels that she could use it best.

Dwaye follows Soar, listening to Heia’s story while thinking about what just happened, and the future of the tavern.

Asmodai pulls the wool over your eyes with his quick handwork; you probably suspect something, but no smoking gun.
(Do we find Sir Ambrose? Soar's getting tired of carrying this necromancer and walking with her totally trustworthy new friends...)
Yes, you do.

"ooh my first magical one" Erik gives Asmodai a hug. He then just listen to the tale of Heia and Soar/Ambrose.

Erik will keep his 100 gold and find a marked or shop next day to do some trading. After we decide what quests to do next...

Heia will hang on to the 100gp for now. She bows to Sir Ambrose before taking her leave. To the Group, "I am sure we will see each other again."
