"Yes, we actually fought off and put down two worgs in the plaza who tried to eat us and five other goblins who tried to turn us into pincushions. Are you a resident of Nightstone? I was here years ago on a cartographic expedition, maybe we remember each other. If not, maybe you know more about what happened here? We're thinking goblins can't throw boulders so either they have gigantic friends, or they're just looting the place. Where is everyone? And where's that big dark rock that used to be in the center?"
Bert's trying to talk in a gentle, boring patter to put whoever it is at ease. He is still looking for where that other goblin looking through the rubble's gone to, as he slowly searches for the blonde-haired person.
As Forge sees his companions begin to leave the Temple from the sight of Alf in the sky, he would quickly return to himself and begin to follow though once at the Inn he would allow the others to enter first and then enter after he was sure there wasn't going to be any type of ambush.
Zook obviously didn’t see whoever it was that the others are talking to, but he keeps his eyes open for any sign of movement, especially from the second goblin outside.
Looking around the main room of the inn, he inspects the area, looking for anything of interest; books, any kind of wood carvings, perhaps even a bottle of whisky that might have survived the devastating carnage of giant boulders crushing down through the roof and creating a crater of destruction right in the middle of the room.
(there is no hidey hole, it is a hole in the ceiling)
Hawk, you find stairs going up. Getting to the top there are 4 doors, one immediately on your left, one on your right, and then 2 behind you.
(For clarity we will say room 1 is your right (top left on map), then room 2 is top right (behind you, same side as room 1), room 3 is the one on your left (bottom left) and the last one is room 4)
Once everything appears to be clear inside, Forge will enter and find a nice spot within the Inn not directly in the line of sight of entrances where he can return to his view in the sky to watch the outside of the Inn while his companions do their investigating.
Zook is thrilled to discover some whisky that survived the carnage. Immediately, he uncorks the bottle, lifts it to his nose and takes a big sniff, savoring the strong pungency of barrel-aged alcohol on his olfactory senses, and trying to determine the type of whisky this is: Heavily peated dwarven single malt, sweet, lowland spirit, slightly smoky gnomish goodness, salty, oily stuff from the coast, flowery elvish whisky or cheap, blended stuff that’s scratchy on the throat, but that lacks the rich, complex flavors of a good single malt.
He then takes a sip and swirls the liquid around on his tongue, delighting in the tingling feel of strong drink in his mouth, before enjoying the final swallow.
Intelligence check to determine the exact type and region of whisky: 9
Corking the bottle back up, he stuffs it into his pack, and then looks back at the rest of the group. Seeing that Hawk has gone upstairs, Zook turns around and follows the ranger up to the second floor.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Hawk(still having seen nobody, and only going off of the words of his companions, and the somewhat quick deduction from the dead Goblin) will simply open the first door he sees (door to room 1) and without stepping in, just look inside (Perception: 8); saying:
Once Bert is finished looking around downstairs with Zook etc (he admires the whisky bottle find, looking around himself for anything similar!), he heads upstairs, backing up Hawk.
Assume his previous stealth and perception rolls still apply but happy to roll again if you like! (Stealth was 22 and perception 18)
Zook, the whisky is dwarven, you can tell that much.
Bert, you find a broken keg of Dwarvish ale, there is still some left in the bottom, enough to decant into a waterskin.
Hawk, inside room 1, you see that most of the furnishings in the room were destroyed when a rock flattened the northwest corner of the inn. Hanging on the east wall is a tapestry depicting a mountain landscape, and tucked under the window in the southeast corner is a locked wooden chest. The floor seems sturdy enough to walk on, and in the rubble, beneath where the room used to be you can see the goblin still collecting little trinkets and food to put in a bag.
Mandaway, inside room 4, you see that there is a large hole in the room. There are a surviving desk and chair in the northeastern corner of the room but no other surviving furniture. In the corner of the room is a blonde woman with a flying snake coiled around her arm, pointing a crossbow at you. As soon as she sees you looking she cries out "Don't hurt me, I don't want to die"

Forge, you see Hawk jump out and fall next to a goblin. Bert and Zook you see it happen. Krakkan might know depending on what he is doing. Mandaway you hear the feline scream.
Everyone roll initiative. Going to do it slightly differently, if you roll above theirs just go. Goblin 10
Bert filled his waterskin with ale and as said earlier, backed Hawk up as he climbed the stairs. He barely registers Mandaway entering another room. He watches Hawk set up to jump on the goblin and doesn't think he's really going to do it and doesn't say anything, but as he jumps, Bert reaches out dumbly to try to grab him, then pauses. Surely what they say is true, they always land on their feet, right?
He watches him land next to the goblin and pratfall flat. He blinks. "Guess they don't. Note to self: don't worry about dropping buttered toast so much. Won't always land buttered-side down."
Initiative: 5
If the goblin doesn't react or laughs, he'll hold his fire, but if it reacts aggressively at all, longbow into the melee from hiding: Attack: 21 Damage: 7 sneak attack 3 (aiming for nonlethal parts)
(Super bad initiative roll -- I added attack for when it's my turn!)

Forge quickly returns his mind to his own "Hawks engaging the goblin!" he says loud enough for the people in the Tavern to hear him and then moves towards the other side of the Inn towards the exit where the goblin is.

Zook had started to head towards the stairs when, out of the corner of his eye, he sees Hawk fall/jump from above and land in the rubble next to the goblin. Right after that, he hears Forge’s exclamation.
Reversing his direction, the gnome spins and heads back towards the opening in the wall that leads out to the rubble pile, where the standoff is taking place.
With his staff in hand, he rushes out to lend aid as his two companions try to subdue the goblin, preparing to strike only if necessary.

Mandaway smiled in a friendly manner, " Well that makes two of us, Love."
He decided to ignore the crossbow, if she wanted to shoot him she would. Then he heard the scream, but stopped himself from reacting....don't want to set her off...
" And whose this little treasure?", he said pointing to the flying snake. " Haven't seen one of her colour before. The ones in the mountains were kind of bronzy with little green eyespots on the wings."
He held out a finger to the flying snake inviting it to check him out.

There is no response from the movement, and the giblin doesn't seem to have moved from outside.
Zook you do find a single bottle of whisky

Mandaway shrugs, " Everyone here is so shy, even the goblins. "
He went and looked into the hidey hole.
Hawk will look around for stairs going to the upper floor. If he finds them he will go up slowly, still with his empty hands up:
Is anybody here?

Not able to see anything further by peering through the hole in the roof Mandaway followed Hawk upstairs, he headed for the last room. ( 4)

Hawk draws his swords and jumps down next to the Goblin looking through the rubble (Acrobatics: 5).
