Hawk will retreat back and let the group know of the numbers and locations of potential hostiles he has seen. He also relays that they have no other exit (right?) than the one he observed them from.
They were feeding on what seemed to be a human body.. in this case, Mandy, Zook, Bert, I think we have to agree that they aren’t friendly and it might be best for the world if those creatures didn’t make it to dawn. (He looks up to the sky/ceiling) Oh Cat Lord, if this is not what you want from me, please send me a sign!
There was what seemed to be a small cave in the back of the larger cave, but from your perspective you couldn't see an exit from it. There is that tunnel to the left of the fork though
(At the fork, is it large enough for 2 characters to fight side by side? Or wider?)
Hawk suggests a plan to the group: they get the attention of the goblins and the rats by maybe shooting an arrow at them and then retreating back in the tunnels, two of us take the left tunnel and two take the right, then we can take them on slowly rather than all together.
Assuming the tunnels are that size, Bert darts back with Hawk and after hearing his plan, he eagerly accepts. "Battle! Tactics! Strategy! This is very exciting. Sounds like a great idea. Wish I had a map to plan all this. But let's do it. I'm happy to shoot the arrow once we're all hidden and then retreat back to the side tunnels and attack them all, sneakily, once they get back to us."
Bert's ready for a sneaky solo foray to get just within longbow range, fire at the big one, and then quietly dart back to his hiding place and ready another attack once they're coming.
If others agree:
first stealth roll: 26 sneak attack roll: Attack: 17 Damage: 10 sneak attack: 6 stealth back to hide in hiding place with the others: 15

When Bert and Hawk return, Zook listens to their plan, nodding in agreement at the tactical and strategic ideas that are suggested.
"I'm game. Anything is better than an all out frontal assault. I can also make some sounds that might help attract the attention of our goblin friends. I'm pretty good at making goblin voices," he says with a wink towards Mandaway's direction. "Of course, if there's another kind of sounds that you think might be better, I'm all ears. I mean it... look at these beauties!" he adds with a smile on his face, gesturing to his pointed gnome ears.

Mandaway nodded and his forehead crinkled, " Perhaps with less violent leaders the non-combatants behind us can grow into more beneficial members of wider society."
He snuck up beside Zook and raised his crossbow in readiness..
Fork is wide enough for 2 of you, tunnels wide enough for 2 goblins (1 of you). As you are on your way to carry out the plan the goblin, who appears to have been conscious for a little while listening says "Yes! Yes! Kill Boss Hark! Snigbat lead. Snigbat let villagers go"
Mandaway turned back towards 'Snigbat', " Snigbat. Quiet for now. Well discuss your promotional opportunities once we're done brutally murdering...'Hark', is it?"
" For now. Hush.", he tapped the crossbow with a raised eyebrow.
Zook stops and stands over Snigbat with Bert, surprised at the outburst that just emiitted from his smelly goblin maw. He speaks in a less threatening voice than Mandaway. “And why do you want to let them go? Why are you different from all of your other goblin brothers who raided and killed the villagers of Nightstone and tried to stick us with arrows? What do you have to gain by killing Boss Hark?”
"I don't know where villagers kept. I kept here watching. Boss Hark keep me here. He not like me. I not like him now. Ogres bring villagers here for eating by rats or goblins. If you kill ogres and Boss Hark I can be new boss. You help me so I help you let villagers free. But we no take villagers. Villagers came here after us"
Mandaway walked quietly back from the choke point and looked worriedly at all the talking, " Lets keep the noise down, if they get the jump on us things will be very bad".
Bert is ready to carry out the plan - my only question is are the side tunnels we were going to hide in for the ambush big enough to hold everyone? I think Zook, Mandy, and Hawk were going to hide in the side tunnels and ready attacks for when they were in range, while Bert snuck over, sneakily fired at the biggest goblin in charge of the human-eating, and then darted back to the ambush site to hide and attack whoever comes first.
Snigbat is tied up in the cavern right? We should probably gag him again just in case he's lying and has second thoughts during the battle. Or we could place trust in him and allow him to fight?
The side tunnels are 1 person wide, the cave you are in now is big enough if you get them through the tunnel, you haven't explored what is off the other tunnel (spoilers as you will soon, it is the main cave, tunnel 3) so you could fight in the caves rather than the tunnels. If you are splitting both ways, who is going which way? And also roll initiative ready for combat. Snigbat is currently tied up, he looks quite happy at the prospect of you planning Hark's death (if you give him the option of fighting he refuses, as if you fail he would be killed and he would rather be unhappy with Hark and alive than fail to kill Hark and die) - in fact he asks to be gagged.

Hawk agrees to go forth with the plan. He adds that they should just draw out the ennemies far back enough that the party can fight side by side (2 in the right tunnel, 2 in the left tunnel, and by tunnel I mean by the mouth of the caves where it’s large enough to be side by side, but keeping the enemies stuck in a single file basically (funneling like the “300” spartan tactics). Hawk will go down the other tunnel, check it out and position himself waiting for Bert to draw out the ennemies!

Are you carrying out your plan or is it changing?

I assume we’re carrying out the plan. Zook will follow Bert and Hawk, but hang behind just a few feet.
(once someone else confirms they don't want to change the plan with new information given I will go ahead)

(as I said, goblins are small enough to fit 2 wide in the tunnel. Though Zook also could. But you don't have 2 Zooks)
