Spotty’s arrow was enough to kill the rat in the room, the advantage from his ally did help indeed.

Hef then moves up and goes straight for the next rat (I’ll assume you Hef goes to B7 and use his attacks on C5). He hacks the rat to pieces right through the doorway!

Gwenant moves info the room to take on the rats surrounding Zak (I’ll use movement before attack), and impales the last “normal” giant rat with her trident!

This leaves one rat standing, and she’s an ugly one. There is blood trickling out of the wound Zak gave her, but it’s mixed with pus and fat and other disgusting looking liquids..

"Aarrrrggghhhh!!" Zak yells out as the vermin again bite his legs. And again leaving pretty good gashes. Zak is getting upset again..... feeling his blood boil a bit.... but not boiling over yet. He watches as his companions take care of the smaller rats.

Constitution check: 13

If I get to go after the CON check: Zak admires the pus and fat for a split second before raising his sword in the air and bringing it down on the momma rat in an attempt to cut her in half. 

Attack: 6 Damage: 7

(don't forget, we all have an Inspiration we can use if needed... just sayin'...)

Martin moves forward until he is standing in the doorway and fires his bow at the giant bloody rat. "Die, in the flames of the Sun Lord, ye foul beast!" he cries as he casts sacred flame. 7  damage if it fails the dex save of 12

Renny sort of just watches the flurry of activity around here as the rats get sliced and diced. She finds a angle and sends a fire bolt toward momma rat again.

Attack: 8 Damage: 8

Zak shakes off the bite from Mama rat and tries to hit again, but this time she is just to nimble for him to get her with his large weapon. 

Dex save: 16

She uses Zak as cover from the sacred flames coming her way, but she can’t avoid everything, so she takes the fire bolt. It burns a chunk of flesh of her sides, you all get a whiff of burnt fat and flesh. The rat is now limping and not looking so good.. not that it looked good to start with. It attempts a last bite at Zak:

Attack: 7 Damage: 6

Zak watches as Renny's fire bolt smashes into the momma rat. He can't believe how resilient she is... probably thinking about it too much in the moment and then suddenly feels a nasty sharp pain at the bottom of his gut. Momma was able to get her head high enough to bite into Zak's gut, and actually has tore open his abdomen with some intestines now coming out.  

Zak initially drops to his knees in disbelief and his vision starts to fade out... ... ...but then rises up again with an Orcish grunt and looks around in desperation at his comrades while pushing back in the intestines into his gut.

Zak uses Half Orc trait: Relentless Endurance

If Zak ends up getting another attack round: he'll try one last attempt to bring the sword down onto Momma to cut her in half.

Attack: 7 Damage: 11

Zak manages to push through the pain and stay conscious.. for now (make a Constitution saving throw for the rat bite). He is too weak to hit with any accuracy and misses the rat again.

Hef rushes behind Zak and attempts to put down the rat threatening the young Half-orc.  "We've got her, lad.  Give us some space."

brimming with frustration Martin runs up to the beast and growls out the holy name "Ilmater". As he does so a blast of radiant flames flow from his form engulfing only the rat. 

Word of Radiance: Con save 12, damage  3

Renny frowns at the mess Zak has been turned into and attempts to hit the ugly rat with some more fire, hoping that'll help end it finally.

Attack: 21 Damage: 2

"Gods above and hells below!" Gwenant has seen terrible wounds before, but she has never seen a man get disemboweled and keep standing. Momentarily shocked, Gwenant shakes herself and turns on the large foul vermin in the corner, moving to space B2 and stabbing with her trident once more.

Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

(Yeah not sure what happens to the dice sometimes)

Between the Glaive hits, the radiant and fire damage, the big rat of pus and fat finally dies. It’s a mess. But nothing else seems to be threatening you at this moment.

Hef rushes forward to give Zak a hand or shoulder if he needs it.  "That was one hell of a rat, Zak.  Are you alright?"

"He looks really hurt guys." Renny stays back, allowing room for those who might know how to help Zak.

Zak leans all his weight on Hef's shoulder with one arm while he holds his insides in his body with his other hand. His adrenaline is wearing off now, and he's really feeling the pain now from this clearly horrific wound. 

"Hell of a rat indeed... thank you all for saving me. Looks like this might not have been the best plan after all... hopefully that's the end of those rats."  Zak sadly says as he looks at the others in hopes that someone can help him.

 "Maybe we should go ask Yusdrayl if she can give us any healing potions?" suggests Spotty.

With the last of the rats dead, Gwenant takes a moment to look about the filthy chamber to make sure that there are no more lingering dangers. "We should get out of this room, none of us can afford to risk disease from this miasma." She takes a moment to consider Spotty's suggestion and adds, "There's no harm in asking, but I don't think that she'll be particularly helpful to us as of right now. She wanted our help against the goblins, and we haven't so much as seen a pointy green nose."

"Y'think we can handle goblins? We can just barely handle rats."
