This circular room is obviously a library or study, its walls lined with bookshelves that extend from the floor to the gently domed ceiling twenty feet overhead. A wheeled ladder is connected to a rail that runs around the curved wall, allowing access to the upper shelves. A delicate, ornate desk stands at the center of the room, surrounded by piles of blank paper. A large map sits on the desk, its corners held down with stones.
The contents of this library are as valuable as they are voluminous. The collection includes nearly five thousand books, pamphlets, folios, quartos, scrolls, and tablets with a combined weight of more than a ton. The entire collection would be worth 50,000 gp if it could be moved. Alternatively, you guys can pick out a few especially valuable volumes.
Anyone trained in one of the following skills can make a check to search the library for a work on that subject: Animal Handling, Athletics, Arcana, History, Medicine, Nature, Performance, Persuasion, Religion, or Sleight of Hand. Multiply the total of the check by 10 to get the gp value of the single most valuable book a character can find on that subject. Each skill check takes 10 minutes, but you guys can be searching at the same time. Those who search for more books take a cumulative –10 penalty to subsequent checks.
The map shows the region of the Elemental Plane of Fire surrounding the fabled City of Brass. The map cannot be harmed by fire, and is worth 500 gp to a planar scholar or explorer.
You find a 340gp book that contains a literal encyclopedia on the subject. It's quite old, too. You could spend months and months reading this book and learn about things you've never thought of or heard of, and that's just casually thumbing through it. Quite the find!

Camilla searches for a book on Medicine: 9

"I probably know everything in here, but i'll keep it." she mumbles to herself.
She then takes a look to find something on Arcana: 2
Camilla finds a book about different types and sizes of wands and where to shove them, literally - a graphic adult collection of pictures showing exactly how, where, and in what positions.
"******* Hell!" she barks in disgust, slamming the book closed and tossing it aside. "Well, THAT'S in my brain, now."
Bell happily picks up the book her mama so carelessly tosses aside and puts it in her bag of corn chips to read for later.

Li'riya finds a 180gp book on exactly that, written by a dwarf you've never heard of before, but it's packed with interesting information for some late night reading.
"No!"Camilla barks, snatching the book away from Bell, dusting off the corn chip crumbs. "That's horrible for you to read! Are you ******* crazy? That's not for children! Amirite?"she looks towards Messa for approval, then looking back at Bell like she's being a bad little bird. Quickly looking back to make sure Messa had turned away, smiling mischievously, she quickly handed the book back to Bell.
At first, Bell shoots Camilla an angry look when her book gets snatched, and snaps up at the tiefling. “Are you ******* crazy?!” She mimicks back, but she notices the others glance, and it clicked. She shoves the book back in her bag with a smile and a playful twinkle in her eyes.
