The angry dragon, unable to get rid of Bazavur with claw and unable to reach him with its mouth, decides instead to swoop down and attack Soar, teeth chomping down; one tooth catches Soar but she pushes it away with her shield before it can pierce her armour or skin. The dragon swoops up and away, rising to 50 feet above you all now, Bazavur still on his back.
Soar can take an Opportunity Attack if she wishes.
The tiny figure, already nose to nose with the dragon at 30’ up, watches in astonishment as the dragon dives to the ground to attack and then flashes back by, getting even higher than before. His expression becomes mirthful when he sees the dragon trying to shake its rider like a wet dog, but then he sees how high they have gotten off the ground…
With a concerned look on his face, the spectral scholar floats up adjacent to the fearsome warrior clinging to the dragon’s back and brushes up against him with a wispy appendage. Bazavur feels suddenly lighter, as if he has suddenly been given the capability to Fly.

'Titus' scans the emerging battlefield, quickly making notes of everyone's relative position, watching as Tobin's spirit guide catches the falling warrior mid-air.
He moves closer to where the dragon is swooping low, working to keep cover between him and the monstrosity as he does.
'Look for the gash on it's neck!' he shouts to the two warriors closest to the action. He gathers a bit of flame in his hand and holds it for just the right moment to hit with maximum effect.

Soar's face breaks into a feral grin, the first in a long, long time (or so it seems). "En, go off in another direction from me, away from here, and keep yourself safe. You're my new favorite thing!"She flies upwards, straight to the bottom of the dragon's throat, attempting to flank it with Bazavur, her simple axe arcing in two swift uppercuts. They aren't poor attempts, the axe does move with practiced hands and there is a noise of some kind of impact. But whether the dragon's armor is too thick, or there are still nerves in those calloused warrior's hands, the attacks miss. Something fey, somewhere, hoping a curse actually does something, shakes its head. Soar stays just under the dragon, opposite Bazavur.
Despite his fear Bazavur taunts the dragon, “Running away again you cowardly wyrm?!?”
He then swings at Arauthator with his glaive, twice, not entirely understanding how he isn’t plummeting to the ground but certainly isn’t questioning it. Yet.
(reckless attack. 19 & 11 to hit for 10 and 9 damage respectively. (Avrae didn’t add rage bonus damage))
wisdom save: 12 (still terrified I think)
2 force damage from exploding flumph on failed dc 14 dex save
Still terrified, but Bazavur is able to get in a one decent hit and dragon's blood drips down onto the ground below.
En flutters away and hides behind a barrel.
Arauthator turns, growls, and bites at Bazavur, missing. It's angry. Claws slash, and again, missing both times. And then you hear the dragon mutter: Magic. And allies. Yes. But I can get these things too. Until next time.
And the great white dragon turns tail and flees, moving 80 feet away. I think Bazavur and Soar would both get Opportunity Attacks.
Soar and Bazavur both get in good hits. Bazavur's glaive slashes a wing, tearing a small hole that forces the dragon to beat its wings harder to pick up speed. Soar's attack comes with a flash of light - perhaps not visible to all but certainly to some - as a sort of holy light infuses the wound and weakens the dragon further.
Nevertheless, the dragon is far away now, 80 feet from those in the air and slightly further from those on the ground.
The tiny scholar merely rotates in place and looks at the fleeing White Dragon....
Tobin:
Meanwhile, a small figure races out of the inn. He appears to be a gnome in scholarly robes. He gets maybe 20 feet or so towards the fleeing dragon and casts a spell. Streaking out almost instantaneously over the intervening distance, a tiny glowing bead just barely reaches the dragon, then explodes in a huge ball of fire!
(Fireball cast at level 5, range of 150' and spread of 20 foot radius, DC 18 Dexterity Save for Half): 29 fire damage

Soar flies 60 feet closer to Arauthator and shoots off an eldritch blast, and one hits (26) and one misses (11). 12 damage plus 4 from hexblade’s curse, for 16. She uses her bonus action to harnes her divine power and gains back a 2nd level spell slot.
She also takes a deep breath and calls out in her best parade ground bark, “you ran away the last time I saw you, Arauthator! Scared of a little elf girl? Maybe I’ll find your nearest lair and loot that one too! Unless you want to stand and fight, you’ll just be the great white worm that wriggles away!”
Bazavur moves around, not approaching the dragon but not moving away either.
En remains where they are.
The dragon flees; with a flying speed of 80 feet it can move 160 feet with the dash action. I think it's gone.
Combat is over. The town is deadly quiet; there are a few bodies on the ground in the market area, and there are people peeking out through windows now that the dragon is no longer present.

The dragon did indeed make its save against the flumph, taking minimal damage.
Bazavur, you feel floaty. Fly-capable, you suspect. The strange creature that has bestowed this ability upon you is still a mystery.
Titus shouts his encouragement, and seems to prepare a spell but does not release it.
The dragon's tail whips around once again, attempting to dislodge its passenger. Bazavur to make a check against the dragon's 22 Athletics.
Acrobatics: 16
Bazavur falls, and takes I think 14 points of bludeoning/fall damage, reduced to 7 from raging. Except he's not, because he can fly!
Soar and Jalt are up.
