This is a new Tangle, she will swim. She took the time before diving into the pool outside to wax the bowstring within and inch of its life, and she hasn't used it yet, so it should still be protected. She puts it on her back, and wades in quietly so as to not make a splash, takes a deep breath, and dives.

ey/em/eirs, or they/them works, too (just not he). Role-playing since that keep on those borderlands. I love it so.
Tangle, you swim, and surface. You stand now in a large cavern that only Jalt of your group has seen before. The ceiling is sixty feet high, and the area seems to be almost entirely empty. There is no sign of this being a dragon's dwelling, and certainly no hoard to speak of. However, there is one other person in the room; a single male half-elf, in the eastern part of the area, who appears to be walking around, whistling to himself and searching for some small object on the ground. He hasn't noticed you. You watch for a little while, and every so often he reaches down, picks up a small object, puts it in his pocket and resumes his search.
Tangle barely hesitates, slipping her bow off her back and drawing an arrow. She takes a breath, aims, and fires at the elf, drawing another arrow before the first has hit its target.
Move: no for Steady Aim Bonus Action: Steady Aim for Advantage Action: shoot elf with short bow with Advantage and thus Elven Accuracy and Sneak Damage, in game log: 24 (24, 22, and 22) to hit for 21 piercing damage
Reaction: reserved for Uncanny Dodge

Tangle surveys the room. Exits? If it looks secure, she pads across to the body, quickly patting it down for anything useful (or weapons better than what she has now).

At a glance, no exits other than the one you came through. It looks secure enough. You pat the body down - and notice that it doesn't appear to be wet in any way. You find a standard scimitar and 3 gold, 4 silver and 8 copper pieces.
Tangle pulls her arrow out of his throat, the way it came in, so as to not ruin the fletching. She surveys the ground briefly, she believes this guy was pocketing loose change left over from the hoard, and she's just trying to confirm that. Regardless, after a few moments, she will drag the elf to the water and push him in. If anyone glances into the chamber, they won't see a dead body, at least.
Then she puts up her bow and goes looking for a secret passage.
Here are some Perception rolls. She begins along the north wall, since that is the direction of the officer's chamber she's now almost been in twice. She will then follow the wall to the east, south, and back to the pool, unless she finds something.
Soar encourages En to come inside if they wish, and whispers the directions of what she remembers about what lies ahead. Does she get any more pings from her locate object spell now she is inside?
Jalt joins Bazavur and Soar, who (for the sake of continuity) mostly remain where they are, I think.
Tangle, you hear nothing through the door. I think you are not confident of whether it is trapped or not, but are nevertheless able to open it eventually.
There is a small room, largely empty, with a single point of interest - a shrine set into one wall with a small statue above a basin of water. You can make a Religion check to identify the god, if you wish.
Frustrated, and not equipped to deal with the emotion, Tangle knocks over the little statue, letting it fall to the ground. Then she checks the walls in the room for secret doors, and if she finds nothing, will go back into the large chamber and continue her search there. It occurs to her that she might be able to track the elf's path through the hoard room? She will try.

Well, no time to mope. Tangle slips back into the water, takes a deep breath, and swims back to the main chamber, surfacing quietly to take stock of any situation.

Tangle will rise quietly from the water, slipping onto the small island in the middle of the lake, unlimber her bow, nock an arrow, and settle in, waiting for something to happen. She keeps an eye on the entrance to the officer’s area (as she thinks of it) and the main entrance tunnel.
Is there any cover to be had on the small island? She’d like to conceal herself a little, if possible. If not, she will slip halfway into the water on the far side of the island, using the bulk of the island itself as cover.

"I used to be a dragon cultist, and then I took an arrow to the throat."
Yeah, he's dead. The body slumps to the ground - it's a swift, silent death. Some gurgling, but it doesn't last long.

Bazavur, you hear a soft splash behind you and Soar enters the cave.

After about fifteen minutes of very careful searching, Tangle does indeed find a hidden door in the north wall.

After a good twenty minutes of painstaking searching you find nothing.
Back at the lair's entrance, Soar, Bazavur and Jalt are playing cards maybe? Charades? Not I-spy, I assume.

Tangle doesn't find anything, I'm afraid. There may be other doors, but she's feeling out of sorts and nothing turns up.
