The party stood at the top of the 30 foot embankment, Krom at the bottom, alone.
The lesson in dwarven curses was one to be remembered.
No matter what Krom tried he just couldn't get up the hill. Even with the help of Chip he couldn't get any grip, his boots slipped and he wasn't getting any traction. Others at the top threw him a rope but now his hands were so dirty they slipped and try as he might he couldn't get them clean enough to allow him to grasp the rope and pull himself up.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Seeing that all his friends climbed the hill with ease, Krom mutters between himself and attempts for the third time the climb, chanting again an hymn of Guidance.

"I do believe then that it goes without saying, for Krom sake, that we never, ever, EVER talk about this when you do. Agreed?" Rhogar looks to everyone else, trying his best to keep a stern expression while looking to all others.

"Perhaps with Krom having so much trouble we go down and try the other entrance? Or we split up and one or two of us go with him to try the other one? We can't leave him alone down there. "
Rhogar gives the dwarf a hearty pat on the back, and a cheery grin. "Shall we get to it then?"He addressed the group at large, before looking expectantly at Chill. If the Tabaxi felt not up for it, he'd shrug, and send Ghorar off with anyone else that chose to take point.

Rekuberk moves up with the rest of the group, making sure that he does not mention of show any amusement from how badly luck had been against Krom in his attempts to climb up the cliff.
Moving into the caverns, you enter the first room. The floor of this cave is strewn with the remnants of old campfires. Four side caves serve as sleeping areas, with five small wooden cots crammed into each one. You can see that there are gnomes that sleep soundly here when first arrive, with two gnomes in each side cave. They do not awaken when you enter the room.
Krom tries to clean himself as much as he can as he walks with the group. The dwarf will then walk near Chip and say to the bard "Let's leave the hill climbing episode out of your stories, ok?" Krom finishes his sentence with a very awkward wink.
As the group enters the room with the sleeping gnomes, Krom says to the group "Shall we awake them or let them sleep and proceed south to search for Fibblestib or Dabbledob?"
Kazri will try her best to follow her companions without making too much noise.

As you head down the south hallway and approach the next room you overhear an argument in Gnomish between two voices, a male and a female. You are not able to understand what they are saying. When you step into the room you interrupt them, the gnomes look at you with a bit of surprise, but also it seems hope.
Speaking in common the male speaks,
"Well hello there, I am Fibblestib! This is my partner Dabbledob." He says pointing at the female gnome. "We were just discussing how to best help the king with his, er, problem. I was thinking a sanity ray. Dabbledob thinks that’s dumb, and wants to build something called a “straitjacket” instead."
"It is dumb", she interjects emphatically!
And the two gnomes begin arguing again, switching back to Gnomish
Krom walks near the two gnomes and introduces himself. "Hello there, I'm Krom, Smith of Moradin. Me and my friends are a group of adventurers tasked by the people of Phandalin to eliminate the Dragon that is plaguing this region. We heard that you may have some magical items that may help us in our quest so we decided to pay you a visit. Your friend Joybell, the young lass in the kitchen, mentioned that you were trying to help your king, would you mind to explain to us a bit more in details what is his affliction?"
The dwarf waits for the gnomes to reply and then adds "Being a Smith of Moradin, I know a few healing chants that may be able to cure your king. Is it possible to examine him?"

Krom tied the rope around his waist and gave the group a thumbs up that he was ready.
The party as a whole certainly had the strength to lift one grumpy dwarf up the hill. Even Chill, with his newfound ogre strength was able to help.
Soon enough the dwarf, covered in dirt and mud, was at the top of the hill with the others.
Rhogar gives the dwarf a hearty pat on the back, and a cheery grin. "Shall we get to it then?" He addressed the group at large, before looking expectantly at Chill. If the Tabaxi felt not up for it, he'd shrug, and send Ghorar off with anyone else that chose to take point.
