Erro chuckles at Rawk’s comment as he averts his gaze and he looks up at the gloomy sky. Perhaps he’d chance a smart remark in retort, but he was too tired for now.
How different this place was with a sun that did not illuminate and burn. Still, he did not like it.
Erro will gladly pocket the berries. “A canoe of spider webs, eh?” Erro scratches his beard. “I suppose I have seen stranger... it only needs to get us 30ft, right?”
“On the other side of the ravine, where we must scale the cliff, do you think Rawk could fly ahead and anchor some rope for us terrestrials?”
Ellis finally wakes up, sitting up as he gasped and looked around, last remembering being hit by the zombie. But he was relieved to see all his friends and no zombies, so thankful as he heard Erro. "Y-Yeah" he says back with a smile. He sat down and rested, listening to Tempest as he would have taken two of the berries. "Thank you. That does sound like a good idea." Ellis would have said back, nodding and thinking. "If anyone needs a little more healing, I could spare a spell for it." he tells everyone, fine with doing a spell now but knew that he should save the rest for if they get into another fight again.
As you think about Tempest's plan, you all hear the sound of waves crashing against the jagged rocks below, and remember the near vertical slope of the cliff on the opposite side at its base. Rawk would know that the inlet widens a little further south, but the hills gets higher too (though you would also be closer to the sacred grove).

(So, we think that there may be less verticality if we proceed a little further south? So it’s sort of a choice between traversing more water versus a higher cliff?)
Not just verticality - at this point the inlet is rough, with rocks both visible and hidden beneath surface, waves constantly smashing on these. Rawk would know as you get further south, crossing by boat would get easier, and the initial climb easier, but the hill as curves south gets higher and rockier so the overall climb gets tougher (even if it is initially easier). On the other hand, the further round the crescent you go, the closer to the sacred grove you get....
Erro peers over the edge to see the violent roil of the water. “Perhaps we should move down south just a bit further. Without a proper vessel I fear we would be dashed to pieces on those rocks.” He thinks a bit more, “Though, I suppose if we, and by that I mean Rawk or Spider Tempest, were able to anchor a rope to both sides of the cliff here where it is close enough together to do so, we could simply hold onto it as we swam across the channel.”
”What do we think? Perhaps you could take a closer look, Rawk?”
"Yes, I can grab more sticks but it would be preferable to continue closer before we attempt such a thing. The waves here are quite dangerous and could dash the boat against the rocks." Rawk suggests her head bobbing up and down while she speaks.
Ellis could hear the water crashing, listening to the others and agreeing. "Yeah, it would be better to make sure that we could get across the water safely." he had said back to them too.
After completing the rest, if there are no objections or events, we will stealthily try to make our way south, trying to look for a good place to embark from. Trying to strike a happy medium between drowning and falling to our deaths. Erro will keep an eye out for this lighthouse he has heard about.
You cautiously move south, following the slight curve of the path. The cleft widens gradually, and the sea becomes less treacherous and the cliff less steep (if only slightly) however it is noticeably getting higher. From the tracks on the ground, it is clear that until recently this area was regularly patrolled by, you assume, Yuan-ti warriors. You reflect that without the conflict within the Yuan-ti, this mission would have been vastly more dangerous. You also note the more indiscriminate, and recent, signs of passage that you recognise as from a zombie pack like the one you ran into. Whether this was from the same group or different you are not sure (but could make a hard survival check to try and work out).

Rawk will guide the group forward being as cautious as she can. She's too distracted by the previous battle, nearly dying and the task at hand though and she seems to lose her bearings.
Noting the Yuan-ti tracks on the ground, Erro recommends that perhaps we should cross here before the group encounters one of these patrols. The more obvious points of crossing may be more heavily guarded. He’ll also note how much he doesn’t want to fight any zombies again.
Erro will look for a spot to anchor a rope for the descent down to the water.
”Tempest, will you construct the canoe here and we will lower it down? Or will you construct it while we are suspended down there?”
Tempest will look to Erro and say, "I agree we should cross soon. I can do either I suppose. What do you think the best course of action is? Rawk or I could assist with the cliff descent. I think we could each carry one of you. Once the canoe is built Rawk or I can tow it across."

"Good observation." Tempest replies "It would probably be better to ensure the safest water crossing."

Tempest would follow Rawk or Erro's lead and take his place near the rear of the group to watch over their flanks as they traverse slowly closer.

Are you going to try and cross here, or head a bit further as the sea widens, and the hill gets even higher?
