that the elf is rather puzzled by the book. He doesn't seem to think it's the actual tome of Talos, but there's uncertainty. He seems most confused by the binding on the book as though he's familiar with the marking but finding it out of place. He has a rather uncomfortable reaction to seeing the mark of Merveille in the leather binding that seems both fear and respect.
Falaine can see that the elf isn't familiar with the book she holds though he casts a glance at the symbol of Merveille.
Falaine would also recall that,
the binding on the book seems to be somewhat newer than the pages it contained like it had been rebound after the books completion.
The elf nods in agreement to Paren's proposition. The group now notices that the hum coming from the obelisk has gone quiet and the magical essence in the room has calmed. The obelisk here was protecting these Wardens from the passage of time and was most likely warding off any godly threats that may have attempted to harm them. The Wardens have been silent with the exception of the elf that has addressed the group. They wear full armor made from materials found from various environments across Koresica. It seems that these Wardens are most likely taken from each of the regions based on the way their armor is unique.
Falaine puts the book in a small pouch under her clothes, where she keeps things that are precious to her, like her druidic symbol. She then descends after Paren
"It may be unwise to inform the Duke outright... That much power can corrupt even the most well intended. I can meet with him again if you all wish. I have some business to attend here before we depart." She'll head toward the door and wait for any input.
The group slowly makes their way back down through the hole in the chamber floors leaving the strange burial chamber and obelisk above. The group of Wardens also moves down the hole and seem rather relieved to find that the runic circle is intact. The elf bends down and examines the runes.
"Very odd indeed. When we built these shrines we had never intended for these runes to be changed. There are traces of new god magic here."He points to a shift in the pattern that seems little more than a stray brushstroke to those untrained. "They've converted these to fully functioning gates so long as you know your destination. This proves my theories correct that they're most likely working to destroy the shrines to grow their own strength."
He looks to Paren and says, "You said you're familiar with how it functions now. Send my Wardens and I to the Frozen Shrine so that we can gain the elder's blessing."
Tyler, who had been waiting down at the circle to make sure no strangers appeared watches in pure confusion as a large group of leather armored Wardens descend into the chamber. He's heard enough of what's going on from the hole above to not immediately attempt to attack the Wardens knowing he would be no match for a group that size. Instead, he looks to the group and says, "Lunch has been prepared. I do hope you were able to silence the voices so that the kobolds can find peace."
Paren nods to Tyler. "I believe we have taken care of it. We seem to have set the magic of the shrine right again, which should stop the voices." He then turns to his friends. "You all go to lunch. I will take the Wardens to the Frozen Shrine and then come back here to join you as quickly as I can. Then we can figure out what we do next." He steps to the middle of the circle, waving Tyler and the others who are not going off. "Wardens, stand here with me and I will take you."

[I think we didn't return to the kobold territory, but rather punched a hole from the teleportation room to the crypt and went through that, right?]
"Great, I'm starving." Tanni takes a step towards the staircase, but stops and turns back to Paren. "On second thought, mind if I stay? After Jonathan, I'm not keen on the idea of leaving someone alone." She glances at the elf and the wardens and without waiting for an answer, she sits down next to a wall with her tools and pickaxe.
Jay continues along with the rest of the group. He seems to be keeping quiet again, though there is some hint of contemplation on his face for now. He occasionally looks over to the group, but doesn't comment.
Paren nods to Tanni. "I have no problem with that, it's probably best like you say." Once all the wardens are on the circle he nods to the others. "We'll be back soon."
The elf looks to Paren and says, "If you'll set the target, we can handle meeting the Elder. It will take some time for us to be ready to deal with Lugh's orders. We will find you when that time comes."
Falaine casts goodberry and hands most of them to Paren "If you all get hungry" she then hands one to Tanni and one to Jay and eats one herself. "I'm going to make an appearance at lunch. I'll be in touch as soon as possible.
Falaine turns to Jay. "So what is your mission here other than the circles?" She'll say gesturing for him to join her.
"I would like to at least introduce you. I'm sure the Warden at the shrine is a little on edge, being so cut off but with Diaas telling him things are happening outside. Might be best for a familiar face to appear with you."

Tanni thanks Falaine and takes the berry, though she looks at it carefully, thinking it must be some kind of joke. With a shrug, she tosses it into her mouth and starts checking her tools.
Falaine turns to Jay. "So what is your mission here other than the circles?" She'll say gesturing for him to join her.
"My only mission here is to return to where I was before I was unexpectedly deposited into the cellar of this place." Jay tells Falaine. "I have no want or reason to be here beyond whomever was tampering with the teleportation circle as mentioned in your statement last night to the duke seemed to inadvertently caused the other circles to react in a similar fashion, bringing me here."
Jay doesn't look at Falaine as he speaks, he still has what is going on in his mind. What was that strange feeling that happened when the obelisk reacted? Why does that lingering need to return keep being so prevalent in his mind? He has many questions, perhaps these people might have answers, but he does not yet trust them enough to attempt even the slightest amount of confiding things about him. Giving them a name was bad enough, never mind anything else.

Just checking where we're up to. Is the above assuming the party, elf, and other wardens made it safely back through the kobold territory?

If there are no further objections Paren gives a slight wave and says, "White Shrine."
