[[ Put away invis stone (free?); draw silver dagger (action?); move to keep clear view of wispy figures ]]
[[A character can interact with one object in their round for free (i.e., putting away the stone or drawing the dagger). The second of these would use Brand's action, though technically drawing an easily accessible weapon can be part of an Attack action in the same way as loading a crossbow is a part of firing it. "That .. looked promising. What did you do? And how do we kill them?" he says, gesturing at them.
[[Also, a reasonable amount of talking is allowed for free in a turn.]]
Before Daffid can say anything, the darker wisp is upon him.
[[

Brand evades the creature's touch easily.
Daffid suddenly reveals a Mithran sunburst symbol from the front of his robe and shouts an unknown word. Suddenly, there is a bright flash of cold flame and Brand sees the darker wisp back away from its victim.
"I think I hurt him," says Daffid defiantly.
[[It is now Brand's turn again, but it is now after midnight, so that is it for me tonight.]]
[[ Do the wisps look anything like I've seen before -- mildly concerned one may be Nathaniel... Did the dark wisp try to get to Daffid's head? ]]
Brand will use his Bonus Action to disengage from Light Wisp, and move to Dark Wisp.
While doing so, he will draw another dagger and attack.
Assuming this is feasible, he attacks. If for some reason he can't get past and attack with both weapons, then assuming the light one is not like Nathaniel he attacks it instead.
Attack 1 (silver): 11 Attack 2 (Iron): 24

[[ Do the wisps look anything like I've seen before -- mildly concerned one may be Nathaniel... Did the dark wisp try to get to Daffid's head? ]]
[[The wisps are both humanoid in shape, but appear different in aspect. The dark wisp just attacked Daffid in general, not his head specifically. [[Both weapons hit and appear to disrupt the wispy nature of the creature, so it appears to have some physicality. Also, combat situations like this can often give Advantage to an attack through flanking of an enemy, and when a Rogue has Advantage or has an ally within 5' of the enemy they are attacking they can also add Sneak Attack damage to one of their attacks in the round (i.e., the first one that hits). Therefore, please roll damage for both attacks, adding Sneak Attack damage (a d6) to the first strike and rolling a second weapon damage die for the second attack (i.e., roll the damage dice twice and then add your damage bonus). ]]
[[ I'd benefit from a description/map of the room etc. It's small, where is everyone etc ]]
[[A full work day for me (which I need to get going for) and D&D tonight, so a map won't happen in the short term.]]
Brand Disengages from the creature that is closest and leaps over Master Nathaniel's body to go to the aid of Daffid. Both his silvered weapon and his newly drawn iron dagger cut through the wispy material of the creature disrupting it.

[[We also ran that move a little wrong asfighting with two weaponsassumes that your second weapon attack uses your Bonus Action (Anyone can attack with two weapons and having the Two-Weapon fighting style purely allows you to add your ability bonus to the damage). This means Brand couldn't have Disengaged from the first creature as a Bonus Action. To achieve the same result would require him to use part of his Move and draw an Attack of Opportunity. Assuming you want to still have the results as already played out, Brand felt a coldness in the air as he moved to change targets, but also felt no deleterious effects (i.e., he wasn't hit).]]

[[I like the idea of describing a monster that is on less than half its hit points as being bloodied, but in this case you can't really tell. Brand can certainly move to keep himself in a flanking position (i.e., opposite Daffid on the other side of the enemy) which will give him Advantage.]]

Is this creature consistent with anything like the Restless Dead? Why would he conclude it is dead, given you previously said it was like Astral creatures he encountered?
I'm heading towards a sync failure in our realities...I assume I have missed something.

[[The restless dead are normally zombie- or skeleton-like, but not always. Less commonly, some take purely spirit forms—ghosts, poltergeists and the like.
