"Your hut, would it keep us safe from possible intruders from their wardrobe or is the room too small to exclude them from the hut?" Silas questions, "Going back through that room may led to more like this poor fellow,"

Looking at the body before him, Badger suddenly gasps and rummages in his pack, pulling out a book. It looks like the journal taken from the goat-headed corpse by the upside-down path. Company of the Yellow Banner, he reads. Perhaps this is another member of that company. Seward perhaps, or Lord Brixton. Anyway, he's dead now.He slams the book shut and stows it away.
Well done retrieving the body, Sickle, says Badger a little sarcastically. But blocking the poison vents would have been more useful. Oh well, let's rest then, and figure it out with fresh heads.
With that, Badger commences the ritual to create the hut.

How does a red dragon blow out the candles on its birthday cake?
Before going to sleep Mal would give the flametongue back to Grenk, "Thank you for the use of this, it was very handy, but I prefer the quicker weapons I normally use."
Then Mal would go pass out waking up after a long rest, "Yea that was solely needed, I feel so much better now."
(loading a level 1 Cure Wounds and level 2 Prayer of Healing into Ioun Stone before going to rest. Shuffle some prepared spells around as well)
Before going to sleep, Silas will speaks with Grenk, "If you wish to remain back, could I take the blade of flame? I believe I could make more use of it if you wish to keep a distance," Silas will attune to it if Grenk gives the sword over.
Silas cast Death Ward on himself before Silas look at the wardrobe before turning to the party, "So everyone ready for the battle?" Silas will cast Bless at 3rd level on everyone when they're about to open the wardrobe open.

Grenk will will respond to Silas, "if we are to fight mages, I want to be up front. That said, you are welcome to use the flame blade. But... I would like to then use that longsword with the dragon hilt scavenged from that poisoned fellow. Assuming it is safe." "Badger, what can you tell me of the sword?"
Bear-Sickle raises a lip baring his teeth at Badger, and expression still on his face as he transforms back. “Can’t block nozzles as a bear. I went in to scout it out and see what could be done. I can try again, but not sure what to block it with yet. You are right about this fellow though. That’s likely the blade the mage mentioned.”
Sickle will go back before the rest and attempt to use Stone Shape to block two of the nozzles. He will take a short rest, recovering one of those slots and and then block one more, so there are blocked. He ties a rope to himself just in case.
Badger takes the time to identify the sword. He makes a "hmmph" sounds as he passes it to Grenk. "Barely magical, it lets you understand and speak Draconic." (no plus to hit or anything, but it DOES count as a magical weapon for damage purposes.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
10 3rd bout of poison.
That's enough to close off all the nozzles. The gas stops coming out. You leave the room anyway, and give it some time to thin out. By the time the group is done a long rest, the poison mist has faded away leaving both rooms relatively clear. Wandering around in the north room doesn't reveal much else of interest though.
(Long Rest Achieved)

Badger again pushes his opinion that they should ascend the shaft back into the main stairwell and resume the search for more skeleton keys, before coming back here to finish fighting the wardrobes.

"Who to say one of the keys are not with one of these wardrobes? Also if your familiar can turn the gear to get us out, I believe there is a third hallways connected to this gear we should investigate before moving back," Silas states.

"Yertle can press the button, but turning the knobs to the correct crystal is too much to expect", explains Badger to Silas. "I don't think we can enter the control room again unless the gears reset".
Then turning to the others, he says: "Surely things must reset after a time. If we open this portcullis now, when we aren't ready to proceed further, there is no guarantee we won't have to do it again later when we ARE ready, and fight the wardrobes denizens again. We must think before we act, and be methodical about this. Out-think the creator, remember?"
Then after a moment of silence Badger adds: "Unless we can be confident in propping the portcullis open, of course."

"Unless your guy can turn the knobs, we don't have a way back and if we can open the metal rods, we could jam the mechanism to prevent it closing oncee more. "Yea I was pretty sure we made the decision to go forward not backward, I am ready to move on, so we can defeat this dungeon and get out of here." Mal says.
Sickle speaks up, “I agree with Badger’s general strategy here, but as there is no way back currently, I suppose onward it is. Unless one of you can teleport into the control room, or do these walls prevent that?”
"Nope, no teleporting here. I guess the only option is move forward here. Might be we get further and there is a secondary stairwell that back tracks. We've crossed a few alternate routes right?"
For clarification, Grenk no longer has the flame sword just the dragon one correct?
