"Either way we have a current job to get finished, let's focus on that but keep the machinations of others in the back of our mind and get our current job done. Then we can focus 100% on this new problem and take care of it." Then Reginald turns to Bella, "I vow to attempt to keep the next enemy you point out alive to be questioned, as that is a very good idea."
(OOC: Seems I forgot a couple very important items from the battle's aftermath... Here is some things you would have found out...) The ghouls bear the same skull marks as the ones who attacked the Wayside Inn during the original franchise member's trip to Leilon previously. The clothes, left behind by the vampire spawn, are riddled with thorns and barbed seeds from plants that are only found in the Mere of Dead Men. Velleen and the one kobold body each conceal hidden symbols of the Cult of Talos. Velleen also carries a case containing a pair of lenses and a note in Common that says, “The lenses show the secrets of the map.”
Continuing along
It is an easy trip to Leilon from Phandalin, especially without a couple hundred giant goats to herd along the way. It takes only half a day to get to Leilon. The town council thanks you for arriving with their supplies and wagons.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bella surveys the members of the council, wondering if any of them are carrying anything of particular value? Any jewelry, heavy pouches, that sort of thing. Naturally, she does this without being overt about.
Stealth 25 Perception 19
Arg: The original perception roll was 16...then I added the stealth and it changed to 8. Now that I've edited to add this blurb, who the heck knows what it'll be when I click Save Changes.
Reginald will inform the town council of what is going on in Phandalin and tell them to be ever watchful and potentially post some more guards if they them. He will also inform them of how there will now be a magical transportation between both companies offices so we can be reached a lot easier and faster. And soon, the rest of the supplies that were requested will arrive shortly (OOC: holy water I think it was, or was it healing potions).
Then Reginald will say his good bye's and consult back with his friends on where they should go from there. It appears we have two thread to start pulling on, The Cult of Talos and possibly try to find any hidden runes using the glasses or venturing to the Mere of Dead mean after the undead threat that seems to be popping up here and there.

Seruk would take some time riding in the wagon to ritually identify the lenses. (We didn't find a map, did we?)
To Reginald's point, "I'm inclined to hunt the cult first. The dead have been here for some time, and have so far been the less aggressive of the two, perhaps they are only acting as mercenaries for the cult?"
“That makes good sense. After all, if that vampire were a real somebody, why would he need a map? He’d just know what was supposed to happen next. He was a nobody. Best focus on the real trouble, the kobolds and their cult.” Bhardrus nods emphatically.

Bella snorts. "And you be knowin' this how? Friends with lots of vamps, are ya? I'm thinkin' either be fine but not fer your reasonin'. Both are threats an' since we're not knowin' which is worse, or where they be, what their aims is, well, either be a good target."
Bhardrus scoffs. “I am sure it must be difficult to follow my logic. I know many sorts of people - any one of whom may be a vampire- and focus on bigger picture goals. I think you’ll find I’m right in the end.”
None of the council members seem like they are carrying anything of value, or a heavy sack of coins.
Plans
What do you wish to do next? It is nightfall as you arrive, and, by the time you deliver the supplies, and speak with the council, it is truly night. Bed is clearly in order, but does anyone have anything they wish to do prior to that?
Silence waits before going to bed, spending some time thinking about the future, before deciding to ritual cast divination. She closes her eyes and mentally reaches out to her god, Oghma. "My liege, I require your guidance. I seek knowledge, as I always do. Will the Cult of Talos carry out any important plans in the next week?" She waits for a moment, carefully listening for a response.

I will protect those I hate. Even ... even if the one I hate most ... is ... myself.
Reginald will visit the Tavern and continue to get to know the townsfolk and seeing what has been going on since they left. Hoping it has been a quiet week or so sine they had left and came back. Will also make it known if anyone wants to join the company I am sure things can be arranged and introductions can be made.
As you drift off to sleep a vision comes to you, and you see dark storm clouds swirling around an inn or tavern. It takes you only a moment to realize this is an inn you have seen, just recently. It is located a couple hours ride outside of Leilon, the Wayside Inn.
Reginald
During the time you have been away from Lielon the town has had a fairly quiet time of it. No big news has come to town, and nothing big has happened there.
Morning
You have a restful night. You awake to a beautiful, sunny day. To the north, however, in the direction of the Wayside Inn, storm clouds are gathering: very strange storm clouds in the shape of three swirling lightning bolts. Summoning you to speak with them, the town council lets you know that earlier that morning a group of settlers left to pick up supplies at the inn. The council asks the adventurers to investigate immediately. As the party is gathering their equipment and preparing to leave town, the group of settlers dispatched earlier returns, without the goods they were sent to retrieve. The group is soaking wet, and one of the larger carts is being pulled by one horse instead of two. One of the two soldiers that was accompanying the caravan reports that when the group got within a mile of the inn, the weather became so violent they couldn’t continue. The driving rain, fierce winds, and hailstones the size of apples impeded progress to a crawl, and then one of the horses was struck by lightning and killed. When they retreated just a few hundred yards back down the High Road toward Leilon, the weather was perfectly calm again. The group decided not to risk trying to complete the journey to the inn, but the other soldier sent to guard the caravan agreed to stay and keep an eye on the situation.
"It does appear the fates have decided which direction we should travel this morning, let's get a move on." Reginald says as he summons his skeleton horse to ride.
"Last night, I spoke to Oghma. I was asking about the cult of talos, and I received a dream about this inn. They are certainly involved, and we should be on our best guard."

Bella smiles inwardly at the report. She always did like bad weather...such lovely unpredictability. They had nothing like it where she grew up.
"Well, I think we should investigate immediately," she says, not really trying to hide the eagerness in her voice.
