"Cowardly Drow. I suppose we will have to find another path through the dungeon. This is most vexing. Did the rest of you hear that voice, though? It wasn't the drow, certainly, so who was it?" Trin asks, ostensibly of the rest of the party, but really just thinking out loud.
Samantha grins back. "I'm looking forward to it though it's unlikely we'll see them again. This dungeon can destroy even the mightiest of foes. We could probably just follow that voice."
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
(Sure hope you are at least making a map, it is one of the main reasons you are down here...)
Trin, you have no clue what or who that voice you heard was from. No one else heard it unless they tried to cross through the arch.
"So back out to the tunnel then?" Melady asks, nodding back through the secret door you used to get into this room with the arch. "we can go south or West from here..."
You travel for a bit, Melady and the imp in the lead scouting, and then come up to...
Frescoes on the walls of this four-way intersection depict shield dwarves at work. Magic causes the images to move. The dwarves roll and stack barrels, carve blocks of stone, drink from stone tankards, and so forth. As you make your way down each hall, the dwarves wave at you and occasionally wink.
"Seems we have to decide East, West, or South..." Melady says as the group gathers.
We'll say you took a short rest at the crossroads with the dwarf pictures that moved, since that would have been fairly close to lunch time for you guys.
As you leave there, you travel a while further south, then come to a place where the path goes East and West, but you have gone as far South as this passage seems to allow.
You are able to quickly realize the path East has more traffic than the one West does.
"Sure hope someone is keeping track of the twists and turns of this place..." Melady says as she notes the, yet another, set of passages to check out. She glances to the cartographer, Max, as she speaks.
Maximus continues to stare back at the mural as they follow the new path, then blankly looking at Melady before answering, "What, maps, yes...yes I am making notes of the different paths we are traveling down. Which reminds me, before I joined your group who was taking notes before me so I can compare their maps with what I have jotted down?"
Maximus lets his concentration go, "Well now what?"
“Now, we move on. Nothin more to see here I guess. I wonder what the filth meant by ‘more power’,” Rurik responds to Maximus.

Stigr will shrug as the drow leave, "Should we mark this on the map to return to later? Do we have a map?"

Stigr shrugs, "One's as good as another. Any objections to south?"
Assuming no one objects, the imp will go invisibly scouting again.

Samantha will ignore the dwarves and listen to Melady. "Perhaps, north."

Maximus will study the mural and interact with the dwarves as much as he can, entirely enthralled by the moving pictures.
Trin answers Melady's prompt: "I think we should head south."
"You want to go back the way we just came from?" Melady asks, frowning.
"Works for me." Melady replies with a nod. "Anyone against that?" She asks the others, glancing to Samantha more closely than the rest.
Samantha shrugs. "Fine, we'll go South."

Pulling himself away form the mural Maximus will start to head south with the group, waving to the dwarves as he goes, "Goodbye."
Stigr will shrug, and send his imp to help Melady scout to the South.
Rurik takes in the odd mural of dwarves as they continue on their way.

Stigr examines the paths, "Two paths split in the dark. Shall we take the one less traveled?"
