Rurik takes a good long look around the room to see if anything stands out to him that could help heir situation as well as watching the skulls patterns if there are any.

You don't notice much, but it does seem that the floor is crackling with energy, but it starts to fade just as the skull zaps it again. If the skull didn't have a chance to zap the floor it might be possible to step on it.
Going to give Rurik a bit longer to post, will move the game along though if we don't hear from him within 24 hours.
“One down, another to go,” Rurik exclaims with a bit of joy in his voice. Shadowlight growls in agreement.

Trin gasps at the sight of the zapping head, then he sees the creature amid the rubble and sends a fireball at the golem.

Both the skull and the golem are hit by the fireball and both take damage. The skulls eems resistant to it.
Before your eyes some of the damage ont he golem repairs itself as it absorbs some of the energy from the copper floor.
