(OOC: I was going to cast it on anyone that was scouting ahead but then there was a little skip forward by the DM so whoever wants to claim it can have it I supose :D)
“Shadowlight is smellin’ something, may just be our two headed adversary. Donkee is your tiny friend gona side with us or with the ‘boss’ when we get to that area?”
As everyone is in the candle hall, Mache moves forward, invisible, and scouts a bit further ahead. A bit further along the same hall, he finds a closed door, then a right-angled corner. Does he continue around the corner, does he check out the door, or does he do something different?
Stop Thief and Ellya also come up to the door and corner as they scout the way forward. Neither detect any traps or even a lock on the door.
“Which way does the scent come from Shadowlight? ‘Round the corner or from behind the door?” Rurik asks as he attempts to blow the candles out and then pocket them.

As soon as you touch a candle it comes free in your hand. The flame starts letting off smoke and wax actually drips to the floor. When you blow it out it is just a normal candle you are holding. How many do you take?
Ellya uses Mage Hand to manipulate the door handle from 10 feet away and stands so that whoever might be inside does not immediately see her upon opening it slightly.

I’ll take all but one.
Sure you want to fill your bag with hundreds of candles... Also that would take hours to accomplish.

"Grunt is 100% our guy. He took a very explcit oath and understands the penalty. He is smart and a world class adventurer helper. Hey an empty room. We could have locked Vaden in here."
Walt would slowly walk into the room... saying a small prayer under his breath as he cast guidance, asking for assistance with spotting any threats to his companions or any secret doors allowing passage.
Perception! 17 plus 3 plus 13 (Sorry, that second addition was supposed to be another d4 1) (so 21 total, my passive perception is 21... for future reference lol)

After doing a very detailed look over the small room you decide it is truly empty. Just an empty, fairly secure-looking room.

Donkee checks out the clean room in admiration. " I think we should hire this guy to clean HQ...."
Perception 11
[OOC: Who did Walt cast Guidance on?]

Mache goes forth, still invisible. [do I need to roll stealth?]
Fenchurch, Gnome Wizard, Red Skies in Mourning
yep, invisibility does not make you stealthy.

What is everyone else doing?
Barinthus is staying near Walt and following his lead, though expecting the scouts to do there job and report back their findings.

Stealth: 22+3
I’ll take all but one.
As you open the door with your mage hand, you find a completely empty ten foot by ten foot room.
Sure you want to fill your bag with hundreds of candles... Also that would take hours to accomplish.
Ya, ok I’ll take 15.
"Grunt is 100% our guy. He took a very explcit oath and understands the penalty. He is smart and a world class adventurer helper. Hey an empty room. We could have locked Vaden in here."
Ellya throws one of the rocks she picked up earlier into the room and observes what happens.
The rock clatters into the room and nothing happens.
