Seeing everyone accounted for Rigel gives a sigh of relief. His relief souring a bit at Marcon's words.
"Yes I heard, but again, like in the cave, before anybody could offer a better tactic you charged in. So instead of the enemy dealing with a bottle neck and having to attack us one at a time you forced us to attack them one at a time. But no matter I'm glad you survived."
Taking some of the edge out of his tone Rigel continues,
"As soon as we're able there is a lot more area to cover behind this secret door. The quick look I took showed me a much larger area beyond what one might expect in a basement. It would appear the original manor house was built over a large cavern with more passages. I'd say we're gonna have our work cut out for us."
Marcon gives RIgel an incredulous look, as well as throws out a few hand gestures. None of which were intentionally offensive, but definitely further emphasis his feelings in the moment before just pinching the bridge of his nose.
"Look, Man. I heard the noise. Figured they were getting ready, having heard us. I, again, tried to signal ya'll ta ready up. But rather than listen, again 'side from Big Guy there, ya continued faff'n with other stuff. So, hoping that -- at best to catch them off guard -- I had to act. But if the future ya want me to sit on my hands, and hope the brands are 'bout as reactive as ya'll are 'bout things, then... Fine." He says with a huff.
"But as Helm as my witness. If someone signals that stuff is bad, or they hear somethin'.... Can we at least agree on drop'n everything else? Please? Fer all our sake? 'cause 'spite what happened, if... if we ain't all on the same page on this, it might not be me who's taking a hit. And I'm fairly hardy. Rest of ya... Don't look as much." He looks to Garet and gives a quick two-fingered salute. "Not that the heal'n weren't 'preciated or I think unnecessary. Just say'n." With that, Marcon goes back to body stripping and at least start tying up the the two brands together, assuming someone doesn't execute them.

"Oh, before the fight, I got a healing potion from a bag in the water, if you need it, Marcon." Ronk holds out the potion and starts looking around in the barracks room for anything useful or possibly valuable while Rigel and Marcon debate tactics.
Vanzaren and Ronk notice three dirty scarlet cloaks hanging from the bunks where the Redbrands were sleeping.
One man is clearly dead, but the other two are unconscious from repeated blows to the head. While searching them, Vanzaren finds a total of 15 ep, 12 gp, 28 sp and two semi-precious stones that appear to be garnets.
Outside of more food stuffs in the barrels, the party finds nothing else of value.
Spit and Stopit wait for the approving nods of the rest of the party before they reach for the Redbrands' discarded shortswords. With the blades firmly in their grasp, they both arrive at the idea of challenging one another to a mock duel and then thrust, parry and riposte back and forth until Spit accidentally nicks Stopit with the tip of his blade.
Vanzaren takes one of the cloaks and puts it on, "Might I suggest that we put on the cloaks and do our best to look intimating as we make our way through here. It might help us avoid bloodshed."
"Huh?" Marcon double blinks at Ronk. "Oh.. hm.... Well goin' back to my point 'bout take'n a beat'n, it'd be better if you hold on to that one, Ronk. 'spite of Vanz' joke, it'd be better in your hands than mine fer just the occasion." He said, wincing towards the end. It's at that point he breaks out the healer's kit to start bandaging up at least some of his more serious wonds. But he still listening and observing. Seeing Spit and Stopit start playing around with scimitars elicits at least a look of wariness out of the Human, though no more than that.
It's not until someone gets knick that he calls out a "Careful you two." in goblin. "... Hm? Hn... Sounds good, Van. Though either way, if we can rest here a spell, I'll be good to go. Somebody tie those two up for they wake. With any luck, one of 'em will wake up in time to tell us more 'bout the place."

"See'n as this part ain't likely often used, I'd say wake at least one of 'em. Try to, anyways. See if we learn more about the layout." Marcon suggests. "If not, we leave'm tied up here. And either check out Mr. Rigel's secret door path, or the one to the north. Frankly speak'n, I'm more partial to try'na wake one and interrogate'm, and or go through the non-secret door."He admits.
"That is my leaning. But, whatever ya'll want I'll follow."

Rigel just raises an eyebrow a gives a little shake of his head and softly begins to speak,
"Do what you like with the Red, I don't think it'll matter much. I'm not gonna bother arguing that a single lie about something we can't confirm could put us in a dangerous spot that gets us killed and them freed in the same amount of time, so since we've been down that road I'll leave it go. So we can leave them tied up in this rarely used area full of supplies in a bunk room thats most likely a guard house and will have another shift in here soon, if you choose. As for which way to go, secret doors are meant to keep secrets. I'd bet my cut that that exposed door over there will take you down the tunnel and right back outside. In fact I once thought it might be an escape route but after seeing all this I'm more likely to think it was just a way to bring in supplies without going through the house. But that door over there was meant to hide something and that intrigues me. But what's everyone else's choice. Whatever we decide let's get to it. I don't like waiting here to be discovered.
"I... I feel like yer try'na hint at somethin there, but... I-I ain't get'n it."Marcon admits, sounding genuine in his confusion. "But be that as it may. It's like my Pa used to say. A 'good' lie has a nugget of truth in it. And while I ain't 'xactly always the most insightful person, I figure at least some of ya might be. Then armed with this nuggets, well, we aughta do a bit better at least, is all. 'specially when they already haven't shown themselves to be only so-so on the loyalty to all this. Not to mention the missing folk they probably got under their boot."
Marcon sighed on that note, and rubbed at the back of his neck. After at least a moment of silence he nods to himself, and strapped on the shield. "... But listen. Since yer so sure of yerself 'bout the way things are, then by all means. Let's check out this secret path of yers, I guess." He stands, cracking his neck and testing his bandages. Once secure in the knowledge that they wouldn't come undone from just a little excess activity, he waits at least a moment to see if any -- namely Ronk and Van had strong enough differing opinions to wait. After which he dons one of the red sashes and looks ready to follow Rigel's lead.

Rigel takes the lead as the party files through the secret door and down a dark, narrow passage. The corridor turns to the right, then almost immediately back left again.
IF YOU HAVE DARKVISION, OPEN THE SPOILER BELOW:
Another 10 feet after the corridor turns back to the left, the space opens up into a cavernous underground. The floors are the same - hewed stone blocks fitted neatly together, but the walls are mostly unmodified granite like one might see inside a cave. A large crevasse separates the two sides of this large open area with two footbridges spanning the width of the trench. From their current position, the party cannot determine how deep the trench is.
A few large stalagmites jut up from the floor, one on the other side of the footbridge directly in front of Rigel and another directly north of him.
A cold breeze fills this large natural cavern, carrying with it the faint scent of decaying flesh. Though the cavern itself is unlit, torchlight can be seen spilling out of an area at the northern end.
As Rigel reaches the cavern he pauses and turns back to the group. He motions towards the light in an attempt to alert the others before gingerly stepping out into the open and cautiously heading towards the bridge. He turns back to check on the rest as he stops just short of stepping on the bridge. The whole time never taking his eyes off the northern end of the cavern.
