Ronk peers down at the chasm, letting out a hint of a whimper. "Maybe the secret passage was a bad idea..." He moves to the other footbridge and reaches out with a foot to test the it.
Confused, assuming he even saw the motion from Rigel given the darkness, Marcon had looked to the lantern, which had already been on its dimmest setting. Taking it to mean keep back with it, Marcon had done as told. But then he turned an even more wide-eyed look to Garet as the second goblin is ordered to take over a torch; presumably unlit. And then there was Ronk and Van not even whispering and following immediately after Rigel. Wait, was Rigel supposed to be scouting ahead? And were the other duo whispering, and the noise just felt louder to his ears from paranoia?
All in all, an increasingly more confused Marcon hung back by the lantern barer until given more clear instructions.
Rigel looks back towards the group to gauge their progress. As soon as the rest begin to move up he cautiously moves 10 feet north and presses himself against the wall.
Ronk finds the northern bridge seemingly sturdy enough to bear his weight. Peering into the crevasse, he finds that is about 20 feet deep and spies a human body heaped at the bottom among a pile of old broken and well-gnawed bones. Looking across the footbridge, Ronk sees another crooked hallway leading roughly west. He is close enough to the northern chamber to see that this is full of more barrels, presumably stolen or "taxed" from the Phandalin citizenry.

Marcon, who after some hesitation, kept loosely up with the others, gave Ronk a deadpan look from afar. But otherwise, he continued to follow Rigel's example, hugging the wall and keeping as quiet as he could while look around in the more lit up areas. "Psst. Ya'll see any more secret doors round there as well? In case any get a mind to jump us as soon as we try crossing?" He whispered ahead, ready to lend a hand searching northern chamber, if Rigel at least gave the go ahead look to approach.

Rigel watches Ronk move past him to the north bridge. As soon as Marcon moves up Rigel moves to the small alcove to the right of the opening. Should Ronk look his way he will pat the air in a gesture meant to indicate to hold there. Once in the alcove he takes a good look into the supply room.
Just before they begin to move forward, Spit moves up to Marcon and takes him by the hand. "I sees for yous human," he says.
Rigel looks around casually for any concealments that would indicate if this storage area were more than just a storage area, but he finds none.
As Stopit's torchlight sweeps over the edge and into the crevasse, Garet is briefly able to see part of the body of a humanoid that appears only slightly decomposed. Dry white bones and other similar remains are strewn about the bottom of the chasm as if it were some kind of refuse pit for dead creatures.
Ronk begins to get the eerie feeling that he/they are being watched by some unseen force...
"Heh, thanks lil' ma-...."Marcon pauses, squints, opens his mouth afterwards for a second, only to close it and cant his head in the goblin's direction. "Don't take this the wrong way, but...are you a male or female?"He whispered awkwardly. Whether he received an answer or not, he eventually motions for Spit to direct him closer to Rigel in hopes of helping as much as he can as original intended. Even if that help little more than heavy lifting.

Spit looks incredulously at Marcon, as if his gender should have been clearly evident to the human...the goblin puffs out his chest and gives it a couple of hard thumps with his fist and then grabs his crotch. "Spit have 43 offsprings, how many offspings you has, hmm?" he questions rhetorically.
The area is the north end of the large natural cavern has been finished with dressed stone block walls and a flagstone floor. Several barrels are stored against the walls here, along with a number of empty crates, straw for packing, hammers, pry bars, and nails.
Vanzaren notices that the floor is dusty but that several pairs of footprints near the boxes converge on and disappear under the eastern wall in the small alcove in the northeast corner of the room. He also notes that the dust on the floor in the western and southern parts of the room has not been disturbed (other than Rigel's footprints.)
Rigel moves back towards the entrance of the room. He pauses to address Vanzeran as they meet in the middle of the room. In a low voice he says,
"I'm gonna grab the others. I didn't see anything, but take a look just incase. That other room seems to have multiple entrances, so we should discuss where to go next."
Rigel then moves on to the edge of the paved part of the floor at the west side of the room opening. There he takes a moment to discern where the others are before deciding who to go to first.
"Hang on there Rigel,"Vanzaren says quietly, approaching the wall where all the footprints are. "I think there might be a door here..." he starts feeling the wall for some kind of lever or latch. "I'd go get everyone else though... just in case."
"Sorry, my friend. Ain't mean nothin' bout it. Also... Whoo-hah~ Mama said ya'll tend to bred like jackelrabbits, but it still gets me er'retime. But as fer yer question, n-none yet. Got me some things I need taking care of 'fore I... find the one."Marcon replied quietly, seeming not to catch rhetorically-ness of Spit's question. A solemn look crosses his feature. Then seeming to remember the situation, he points northward and whispered, "Just that way right?" prior to either be lead further along or using a nearby wall as a means of guiding himself further along to Rigel and Vanzaren.
As soon as he heard at least one of 'em he speaks quietly. "Ya'll find anything? Or should we get to cross'n? 'cause way I'm figure'n so far is that we'll prolly find any captives on the otherside, consider'n it'd be meaning going deeper, ya get me?"

Ronk turns away from the others as they investigate the room and looks back at the chasm, worriedly rubbing the back of his neck. "I dunno if we should go that way..." He backs a couple steps back towards the others. "Something's creepy... More than just cave creepy..."

Upon closer inspection, Vanzaren finds the seams around another secret door in the northeast corner of the room. The door is heavy and the lack of a handle or knob makes it difficult to open, but it is not locked.
Weird Insight. The nothic targets one creature (Ronk) it can see within 30 feet of it. Ronk must contest its Charisma (Deception) check (5) against the nothic’s Wisdom (Insight) check (5). If the nothic wins, it magically learns one fact or secret about the target. The target automatically wins if it is immune to being charmed.

Marcon shot Ronk a worried look. But at Vanzaren's request, and never one to turn down a request for aid, he nodded. "Sure, bud. Whatever ya need. Tho' just in case, I'll probably use a hand."He said in hushed tones along the way, and eventually took up a position to help muscle the door open or up as the case may be.
