Grum still has his shortsword and dagger drawn from the skeletons. He'll whisper to the rest of the party and let them know what he hears. "Another Redbrand in here - at least one of them, and it sounds like they've got a prisoner maybe?"
Grum waits until everyone is ready, drawn weapons and cast any pre-combat spells they might want to use. When everyone is ready, he'll fling open the door and charge in, ready to attack the nearest person in a Redbrand uniform.
Callie draws her shortsword and nods to Grum and Garr, not trusting her aim with a shortbow in such tight spaces and with a potential hostage situation. She stands ready to take off in a dead sprint into the next room.
As Grum opens the door there is a startled cry from the Redbrands and a prisoner from what you can see. There is one Redbrand 5ft from the door peering into the cage but given the angle it's about 3 quarters cover (+5 AC) with Grum in the doorway, but you can still attempt a shot with your readied action if you wish.
As you charge in to this long chamber please roll Initiative!
This long room is partitioned into three areas, with iron bars walling off the north and south. You see a woman on one end of the pen and two children on the other. In the middle are three Redbrands, blades all ready as you charge in.
Redbrand Initiative: 5
(Damn I roll good initiatives for these Redbrands)
<Squelch> mutters strangle mystic words in several voices. His eyes darken and wisps of blackness escape from his hands. He gestures towards the 3 Redbrands and casts bane.
Malthaza'ar draws a circle withershins with her staff, taps it twice on the ground, and raises her hand level with the Redbrands. Three glowing darts erupt from her extended fingers.
Magic Missile, each dart does 4. All are targeting the center Redbrand.
With a bit of a grumble, Brandor steps a few feet back the charges at the backside of Grum. Just before running through his companion he drops into a slide to get past his legs and smoothly pops up to charge at the nearest Redbrand. He whips his body into a spin to give a heavy horizontal strike with his staff hoping to slam the thug into the bars of the cage. He squares up with the trio of foes and starts his usual side to side bounce. A grim smile hidden in his beard.

Your staff cracks into the nearest Redbrand, sending his face flying into the heavy iron bars, you see some teeth fall out, but he remains standing. "Why you little-"
He slashes back at you madly, eyes filled with rage but mouth not filled with teeth. Attack: 13 Damage: 8 Attack: 15 Damage: 8
The Baned one runs in and tries to attack Grum: Attack: 8 Damage: 3 Attack: 6 Damage: 4
The third one that had been hit by Malthaza'ar previously looks like he wants to charge at her, but the doorway is only 5ft wide and he cannot pass so instead he attacks Brandor: Attack: 10 Damage: 6 Attack: 21 Damage: 6
As the Redbrands begin their assault the prisoners cry out and move to the back of their cells, hoping to not get somehow hit.
The Redbrand that Malthaza'ar had hit before doesn't even notice you slip around Grum as you quickly dispatch them, the spray of blood not even touching you as you maneuver around and flank the one on the left (The baned one).

Garr moves past Grum and engages the other Redbrand, but moves around to the other side hile staying within 5ft so as to not provoke an attack of opportunity. He then attacks with his hand crossbow, without disadvantage thanks to the crossbow expert feat.
Attack: 23 Damage: 6 + 1 fire damage
Bonus action attack: 27 Damage: 4 + 3 fire damage

Callie disengages and moves into any open space she can fit into and still stab Redbrands from.
