Nirug looks at the mountain and the path before them then continues on. His mood slightly improved both from their escape and to be traveling up the mountain. His mind drifts back to his childhood and the many memories he has surviving with his tribe on the mountain.
Aldin takes one of the groups breaks while hiking up the mountain to ask a question or two. "So, what were those things back there? Wings and spikes? And that man? Does anyone have any idea what this is all about?"
As the others talk Smoke will take a gulp from his waterskin. Really? The Pit, ive heard of a place like that. Its where warriors go and fight huge beasts and giants. Many people go to see it.
He says in an excited voice. We should go there next then, that would be so exciting!
Having put away his waterskin Smoke will mimic giant crab pincers with his hands then quickly dart 2 feet forward turning around to act like a warrior fighting the crab ducking the pincers and jumping up to strike a sword into the beast then raises his arms to cheer for his victory turning around slowly to face his imaginairy fans. Such glory! He says to himself.
Looking back at the others probably having weird looks after his display. Oh right, the creatures. Well they were demons or fiends right? The hooded man had all red skin and everything.
Not sure why they were here though. He scratches his head pondering and looking down the mountain.
Looking a bit more calm, and in the middle of writing something in his notepad, Weylin talks without looking up. "Some sort of demon master. He looked really confident, not even fighting us. I'm nervous about those flying demons and he might have more in his employ. He seemed frantic but more inclined to send his minions after us than take us on in combat." As he speaks he looks to be writing what he's saying in his journal, and puts it away after talking.
After roughly 7 hours of uneventful travelling, the sun begins to set behind the mountain next to you. As the shadows intensify, you spot a potential place to set up camp. Nestled in the side of the mountain is a perfect circular area, about 300 feet in diameter, with spiritual markings all centered around a circle in the middle meant for a fire pit. It appears man-made, and not in use for some-time. This might be a nice place to rest for the night.
It seems to you, Jorelm that it is an ancient, long-abandoned ritual site where religious and magical rituals would be performed. You can't discern what culture it's from, or the religion it may have been used for.

After they've settled in, Jorel will take a moment to kneel next to the fire pit, "To whichever god or goddess or being power this sight is dedicated to, I offer respect and praise. Please allow us to rest peacefully in this sacred place." And then he will look around for any sign that his prayer was heard.
Nirug will kneel down next to Jorel, smile and then says, "It is good to be respectful." He then then close his eyes for a moment, before standing back up. Moving close to the rock wall he sets down his pack and starts getting ready for the evening.
Jorel, you watch as the winds begin to shift around the fire pit. Flames spark from the stone on the pit, and suddenly a fire roars to life, calming down after a few seconds. For a moment, Jorel, you can almost swear you see a face within the flames, smiling at you...watching you intently...but it disappears as quickly as you notice it. The fire radiates a soft heat as it slows down to a low burn on the stone, somehow magically staying alit.

Jorel will stand up and smile at the others, "The gods smile on us again, I'm looking forward to a good night's sleep." And he'll settle down near the fire and get some rest.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Aldin does his part by spiraling the camp for a few minutes while everyone sets up. He mainly looks for tracks, animal or otherwise. If he comes across any fresh tracks he will give himself a half hour to hunt. Otherwise he will take third watch.
Survival: 20
(Typed in the command because I am on mobile and forgot my modifier)
Black Cat will look around the area and then hunker down for the evening to sleep, his feathers rustling out to provide what warmth he might need. Just before falling asleep fro exhaustion he will chirp out, "I take last watch."
Aldin, you can't discover any tracks--which is a little strange, considering the path seems to be so walked upon. This perhaps suggests that people have journeyed on, purposefully staying clear of this site. The reason why seems to elude you, there's no obvious reason for it.
Weylin, your first watch is uneventful. Whoever plans to be next up taking watch (or if you do not wish for someone to keep watch after the uneventful hour or two) must make a Perception check to see if they can detect anything during their watch.

As Black Cat starts to follow the others up the trail he will try and study the tracks as well.
Survival: 4
Black Cat cannot decipher anything about the tracks.

"The specifics, not really, but those things were from the Pit." Jorel will offer blandly.

Thats good to hear Jorel. Smoke starts setting up his bedroll close to the fire to make sure hes nice and warm.
I will take a watch somewhere in the night when its good and dark. Make sure we are still alone and all.
Smoke will first eat some rations to still his hunger and then curl up to go to sleep.

(perception 14 )
Smoke will walk around a bit and watch for lights moving up the mountain.
