The half-elf shrugs, as if it was just false intuition. The half-elf douses the fire with a small pitcher of water, and then stands. He's done with his prayer, and heads to the door, where Jorel is.

The half-elf seems a bit startled to see Jorel, but quickly recovers. "Yeah, it's quite the storm out there. Something about it...I'm not sure...made me feel as if a deity was angry with me. Me, specifically. It was weird, but, I've done all I can, I suppose. I wish you the best of sleep for the rest of the night, my friend," and then the half-elf begins to walk away quickly, and it is difficult to immediately discern the sincerity and truthfulness of his tale.

He seems mostly sincere, as if the story isn't far off from what really happened. However, you sense an abnormal abundance of nervousness practically radiating from his figure, what that may not commonly accompany such a mundane story.

The half-elf nods. He isn't very hard to convince on this topic it seems, but Jorel truly pushed him over the edge on the idea. "Yes, that...that sounds pleasant. Out of interest, what religion do you practice?"

After deciding on a prayer, and performing it, the half-elf smiles and says, "Thank you, my friends. I will rest much more peacefully in my sleep now that I have assured myself deities are not angry at me. Now, will you be joining your friends in the other room now, I presume? We still have a few hours 'til dawn."
Then, assuming Jorel returns to the rest of the group, you all sleep peacefully through the night and complete a long rest for each of your characters. Awakening with a new surge of strength, you realize it is only about a half-day's trek to St. Jarren, and you should arrive in the early afternoon if you leave soon. The rain appears to have stopped for now, though heavy dark clouds hang over the area.
If you have no further business at the outpost, you will load the proper amount of provisions crates, and be on your way (please object to this if you have business you wish to attend to).

Aldin will be up fairly early and scout the terrain a bit more. As the group is ready, he shoulders any extra burden the group may need and then head to the front and take the lead up the path.
As you slowly begin to begin the last section of the journey, you don't spot anyone following you or anything particularly strange that stands out. This part of the trail is rockier, and the rain makes the terrain a bit harder to advance upon, and you thusly have to go a bit slower just for your own personal safety. After a few hours, as your round a corner, you spot a few groups of people walking down past you, making a journey perhaps down to the village from which you came, or the outpost. These all appear to be signs that there is civilization near, and the signs are correct.
After about three hours total of walking, you finally reach the town of St. Jarren. It is larger than Dar'nath, the tiny village that you were at a mere few days ago. The whole town is built on a large section of Mount Tyranvar that was seemingly carved out or eroded, and the town was built on the foundation of the stone that was not. A large array of houses are spread across the rocky area, and a forum-like area is situated in the very center of the town, where carts and stands appear to be open to sell in front of old decaying taverns that have the smell of fresh ale and bread that wafts through the air. People mill about much more than in Dar'nath. There are people on the stone streets, conversing with one another, purchasing from the market situated around the large circular forum. It seems a joyous town, though a bit on alert. As you look around, you notice sellers at the market keeping their goods almost hidden, people rushing past darker alleyways, and citizens dodging those who wear sketchy clothing, like cloaks. There are some signs that have been half-torn down. A few empty market stalls, and a few buildings that looked overly scratched up--and not from age.
What will you do?

As it is dry again and the journey wont be that long anymore Smoke will be cheerfull and walk proudly behind the frontline of the group.
He wont pay much attention to the surroundings, trusting the group will do this. Smoke is pondering and daydreaming about the adventure and what they might find in St. Jarren. From time to time he will mutter a few words to himself in excitement, not making much sense to anyone that might hear as they only hear a small fraction of his toughts. But they will know Smoke well enough by now to notice hes excited. After all his tail movement and busy hands usually give that away rather quickly.
(seems our posts overlapped, so ill add:)
As they reach the town Smoke will take a deep breath through his nose to let in all the smells of the market.
Smoke will take a look around now to spot any guards or people eying them for being of diverse races. (perception 7)
"These people have suffered recently. Either brigands or those we are after have been a problem for them," Aldin surmises as he notices the scene within the town. "Otherwise, I feel we will have a much better experience here as long as we remain open and not shifty so, Jorel and Smoke, you are up friends."

Jorel will move a little away from the door, but not lay down, when/if the half elf enters the room, he’ll look up at him, “Can’t sleep either?”

“I knew you would ask that,” Jorel responds with a smile, “Prophetism of course.”
The half-elf grins. "I am of the same religion. That will work out quite nicely, then. Come on in here, and we shall begin."

Black Cat will walk up near Aldin looking along the trail for anything out of the ordinary and to check around to see if anyone is following them.
