Vallen blinked and looked at the monks, "Oh... is this where this lead to? We thought this might have been a restroom.." He smiled, "We could just be going now and no one gets hurt or in trouble..." He bowed his head once more to them, though keeping his hand on the pommel of his warhammer.
[We will return on Monday to combat! I will detail out what's in the room and the adversaries then. Hope you all have a great weekend. Let me know if you have any questions]
(( Speaking of, I will be out of town the 12th through the 19th. I'll have internet access but will be doing lots of family stuff. Happy 90th, Gran! ))

The candles in the room seem to slightly shift as the movements of the fast monks dart toward the group. You all catch sight of four monks dressed in fully black robes with red sticthing that none of you have seen in the monastery before. They each seem to target one person as they charge.
M1 attacks Valyncia! He attempts to punch and then kick her twice.

It's time to defend yourselves! These monks don't seem interested in conversation.
Still left surprised by the ease in which she forced open the doorway, Valynciawas not very quick to respond to the sudden threat of the four monks charging in to attack. She had hoped they would be able to simply talk things out, but that possibly disappeared as soon as one of the monks started kicking her.
Her response was mostly instinctual. With such a clear threat in front of her she began shifting, showing off her werewolf nature. But this time it was a bit different, something had changed. Her shifted form seemed more primal, more bestial. Her head appeared even more wolf like, only larger befitting her increased size. Her hands formed into larger, deadlier, and move vicious looking claws. This time she even had a tail.
She wasn't thinking about any of this at the time, she was focused on the people trying to hurt her and her comrades. After shifting in response to the attacks against her, she lashed out with her claws at the monk in front of her. Hoping to end the threat as quickly as possible.

Svent absorbs the two punches, caught slightly off-guard by the speed at which the monk attacked. All doubts about the wisdom of fighting these monks disappears as he switches into pure survival mode. Svent sidesteps the monk's kick and presses his own attack.
In battle, you can throw yourself into a vicious feeding frenzy. As a bonus action, you can make a special attack with your bite. If the attack hits, it deals its normal damage, and you gain temporary hit points (minimum of 1) equal to your Constitution modifier, and you can’t use this trait again until you finish a short or long rest.
MOVE: Run 15 feet away from the rest of the group ACTION: Cast Tasha's Hideous Laughter on the monk attacking Cailee. Monk must make a Wisdom Save, DC of 13. BONUS: Give a Bardic Inspiration die (1d6) to Svent to use.
Jubal steeled himself as he darted out from the group. True, it added to the chance that he'd be made a target; but it didn't make sense for the group to remain bunched together during combat. One fireball could spell their doom that way....
He assessed the attacks as he gripped his flute. Cailee seemed to have the least combat prowess; he'd help her first. Targeting her monk, he twirled the flute in his hand while speaking--singing, really--the words to activate his spell.
"Svent!" he called out next. He chose the lizardfolk as the target of his second magical weave-warping, sending positive energy his direction as he cheerfully stated, "I know that monk is nothing to you! You've been favored by my magic--you have the edge!"
Xinq prostrates himself before the monks, “I’m too young to die! I have a clutch of eggs due to hatch any day soon. I was beaten as a hatchling. These people aren’t my friends, in fact I’ve never met them before in my life. Please, even if you must kill them, spare me!”
((Grovel, Cower & beg racial:
Once per short rest as an action, you can cower to distract foes. Until the end of your next turn, allies gain advantage on attacks against enemies within 10 ft. of you that can see you.
Not sure if this can be retconned to apply to attacks after Xinq in initiative order. ))
Xinq, we'll grant everyone advantage on attacks to all monks on the next round following this one with the exception of Valyncia who took the bonus now and was able to hit on her second attack thanks to the bonus. Since everyone hit, it would have only affected the possibility of crits. This will grant the best bonus I think in the end and will keep it simplified.]

The monks attacking Valyncia and Cailee are looking rather rough as they fight to maintain their balance. The monk fighting Vallen seems to be doing the best of them all but still looking rough from the wounds they've suffered. The monks continue their pressure hoping to eliminate the intruders before too much commotion is made.
M1 continues his assault on Valyncia! His strikes are quick and accurate but he seems to be tiring.
Attack 21 Damage: 6
Attack 18 Damage: 5
Attack 23 Damage: 5
M2 attacks swings again at Vallen. It's clear that he's looking to finish Vallen off if he's given the opportunity.
Attack 12 Damage: 6
Attack 14 Damage: 6
Attack 8 Damage: 6
M3 sends a flurry of attacks at Svent! It's clear that she isn't going to be able to continue fighting at this vigor for long.
Attack 7 Damage: 5
Attack 23 Damage: 5
Attack 13 Damage: 5
M4 attacks Cailee! This time the attacks come a series of kicks that seem to come out at a faster and faster rate. These monks are clearly trained in the art of combat.
Attack 8 Damage: 4
Attack 18 Damage: 6
Attack 18 Damage: 4
Party Initiative! Don't forget that you have advantage thanks to Xinq!
( Not sure if I took any damage, but I assume if I did it wouldn't be enough as I should be resistant to the monk's damage while raging. So posting my actions for now and I'll update as needed later to keep things simple for everyone. Also not using advantage this turn since I used it last time. )
