Having seen to the fallen he then cares to his own wounds. "I could use a moment. Do we think it is safe to rest here or should I bolster myself with the last of my healing abilities for the day?"
(Occ, forjar would enjoy a short rest to use hitdice, afterwards he might still end up casting cure wounds. )

Axon watched as the others each processed the death of their traveling companion in a different way. In war casualties were expected, you didn't have time to mourn, it was also expected that you'd take what you could to live and fight another day. Noone seemed to be doing that here, leaving her with her possessions instead. Axon figured she probably didn't have anything he'd need anyways, but still it seemed odd.
"I can stand watch while you rest" Axon said in his normal monotone voice, "Rusty are you damaged?"
"Pretty much fine on my part," Hari says briefly before taking up a nearly silent post by the door, eyes lost in thought as she hums softly, a tune in the style of the song she sang on the journey here.
(120 gold, not xp. Levels are milestone based and at the end of the one shot, you all should be at level 3. And if the party wishes to do a short rest, feel free to do so. A house rule is that a short rest recovers all spell slots but each one shot is limited to one short rest per adventure.)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
*Good to know that house rule, based on that I should probably just use my last lv 1 right now and we can short rest later when more people are low on resources. *
Seeing that most of the others are in better shape than him and not needing to take a moment, Forjar bolsters himself with the healing heat of the forge and is ready to proceed.
OOC: Thanks for the clarification, I have added the 120 gold to my character sheet
"It would seem, then, that we are moving on?" Axon did not put his tools away, he recognized that at this point the enemy was more plentiful than he'd previously expected.
"It would seem so. Let us press on and find the onyx required before this place destroys us."
Forjar casts mending a few times on the pieces of his armor that were scraped or broken through during the battle and is then ready to continue on the journey.

The party cautiously goes forward. One of the stealthier approach the door and slowly open it. In the next room is a rather strange creature, as it has a limb outstretched to a Manes. Through the limb, it devours it. Crunching it until it gives a belch from the limb, letting the vapor out.
(Couldn't really describe it this time, so here's a picture of it.)

"Indeed, use caution, but try to take it down quickly before it can harm us too much."
*Assuming this thing is a fiend, can I make a religion check to identify it and get an idea of what we are up against? If so I am rolling the dice now. If it is not a fiend please disregard.*

(And just a heads up, its about 20 feet from a gorge of lava.)
(Should I assume that Rusty will try to start in stealth or will the whole group try? If the latter, then it will be the group average vs its passive perception of 11)
@ Forjar
The creature is known as a Rutterkin. They are normally found in large packs, as they numbers incite fear and cripple their foes. This enables them to surround and devour them. But another of their abilities is to make fiends. Their bite can poison one but mostly just hampers one's abilities. The true danger is when one dies while poisoned, death causes the victim to instantly transform into a fiend.

Rusty moves in slowly to be as stealthy as possible, but to also allow the rest of the party to help take on this grotesque biological. He gives a glance to the others to see how ready they are. He will attempt to wait for the rest to be close for support.

OOC: 120 Gold? Or was that meant to say XP?

Rusty re accesses himself to find he has taken no damage. Rusty will clean his weapons and make sure they are in proper working condition.
I have endured no trauma and I will also perform security vigil while the biologicals have their repose.

Hari rests quietly, leaning against the wall while she works on her dirge, fingers drumming slightly on her horn.
When the others indicate they're ready to go, she nods and stands. "Let's get going."

Hari shifts impatiently as she waits for anyone who is sneaking forward to get into position.
(OOC: Not in Hari's nature to try and sneak up, so she'll just stay in the doorway waiting for the go-ahead to attack)
