"How about exit through this hole that used to be a door where we came in and book it to the keep before the cultists get in and have their way with you. Or just stay here and see what happens... Either way."
There is a secret entrance into the keep and a small window of time to sneak everyone in. At the risk of losing any lives we must move immediately. We'll help everyone over the wall, keep a few of us in advance to protect the front on the other side of the wall. Me and at least one other will secure the rear. I believe I stand the best chances if we are encroached.
Eadyan nods and smiles, then turns to address the cowering people. 3 As another slam against the door rattles them, he says, "These people are here to help us! We are getting out! This way to safety! We can trust them." The townsfolk start to stand up and move toward the backdoor. Slowly at first, until 3 the door cracks. (12 total)
You can now see through parts of it and see movement on the other side. It's not big enough for anything to get through, but that may change soon at this rate. The noise is considerably louder with the solid door no longer a barrier for sound. "Quickly! We must move!" They pick up their pace and start rushing toward the back opening of the temple.
Staying out of sight of the door frame in case the frightened people are still skittish, Tar rolls his eyes at the dawdling, and addresses Eadyan, but with just enough volume to be heard by others hidden, "Glad you're ok Eadyan, we just rolled up to town when this all came down- and have been fighting these nuts non-stop." his encouraging and positivity efforts wane... and he tries to instill motivation to move; "Its ok to be afraid, but be afraid moving. Follow Lyria here- now. Because they're looking for someone or something. Take only what you need to survive, and we go. If we don't, they'll find who or what they're after, and they'll set this building on fire and your last moments will be watching your loved ones cough, blister, and die."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
I remain at the farthest back a villager is, helping move them forward but not letting anyone lag between me and the door. Proceeding only as fast as the last person.19 perception..... I look for anything I can use to brace the door and or complicate the terrain. If they breach too soon we'll have a problem.
Delirious steps to the side so everyone can flee without being trampled, then takes aim at the door that's breaking away. Saving for a shot at the first thing to break through.
Potato offers himself as a stepstool at the base of the wall to help people up. Yells at Tar. "Door break, you breathe, yes?" His head shakes as he fakes a roar, his small face frills expanding encouragingly. "Potato sword help."
i turn out of wolf form and cast light on my armor making it brilliant and white i look at the crowd with the tallest stature i can muster It is time to go

Tar stands at the door ready to slam it back in place after the last person leaves- he spits on the ground, noting the very clear nature of it, and looks back at Potato shaking his head in disappointment, "No buddy, not ready yet, will need another hour. This will have to do..."; he shakes his shield gesturing at the damaged door. When the last person passes he dashes to the wall to help usher them over.
Tar Hordkhen listens to discern where the patrol is, and to try to gauge if the front door is failing yet or not: Perception 11
Hordkhen and Lyria stack things up against the door, including themselves. Delirious hangs back a bit training an arrow on the door for the first sign of anything.
The villagers start funneling out the back door after Place, Potato and Kod, who are ready to start getting them up and over the wall. Currently, Kod helped one down, there's one atop the wall, and 18 not up yet.
I hang back and stay near the last villager out and follow them out stopping at the door to block all unwanted egress. 8 Investigation on the integrity of the main entrance door. This is going to end in combat. If we can at least get everyone out, than we shall hold them at the exit until everyone is safe.
All the village people make it out the back door and are starting to crowd the back wall. You help another couple up the wall and one more down. Lyria stays at the backdoor with Delirious, who has an arrow nocked. Hordkhen is holding at the inside of the front door (unless you want to pull back with Lyria, feel free to do so.) 3 Another strike to the door widens the cracks, and there is now a convex imprint from the ram they're using near the middle of the double doors. A few more hits could bring it down, you're hoping the benches and things you moved in front of the door will offer some help to keep them out.
Status: Damage to the door: 18 Townsfolk outside the wall: 2 Townsfolk atop the wall: 2 Townsfolk inside the wall: 16 including Eadyan.
Tar pulls back, and runs to the back of the temple, dumping half a flask of oil on the door and stacked barracade, trailing the rest, and grabbing a long pew along the way. "Hope your gods are in a good mood this morning..!" he barks to Lyria through a cheshire grin, "...bout to piss them off.." He shuts acid-damaged back door and wedges the pew in the frame beating on it till it fits under the lintel, grabs the flint from his tinderbox and readies an action to strike it on the back of his longsword over the puddle of oil, peering through the cracks of the damaged door for when they pour through the front door. Hissing to himeslf,"C'man in, we're just about to start cooking..."
Potato and Place' help another 2 up the wall, Kod helps another one down the other side. Lyria, Hordkhen, and Delirious make their way out the back door, Delirious still trained on the front door, Hordkhen with an oil-covered pew jammed in the door ready to set ablaze.
Another hit with the ram: 4 The log they're using as a battering ram bursts a hole in the door. Not large enough for anything to get through, but it does disengage the latch and the door is now sagging on its hinges.
Delirious, if you want to fire an arrow through the hole in the door, you may roll an attack at disadvantage.
Status: Damage to the door: 22 Townsfolk outside the wall: 3 Townsfolk atop the wall: 3 Townsfolk inside the wall: 14
Potato and Kod get one more villager up and over the wall.
Place' prepares the rest of them for what they're about to see happen, then magically transforms into a giant wolf spider. (forgot it's a full action to do that, was thinking of Moon Circle) Reluctantly, and with assurance from Eadyan that it's ok, one person gets on his back and he carries them all the way over the wall, drops them off and crawls back to the top. (You'll be able to dash next turn and get more.)
Horkhen uses a second oil flask to ensure that there's enough oil at the front and back of the church to start a blaze in each location.
