His mind isn't really on this exploration. He discretely studies the young/old nobleman, worried more by the psychological wounds the man bears than by his physical change. He's always been game for a fight, but I haven't seen him bloodthirsty before tonight. He resolves to accomplish the dwarf's objectives as quickly as possible so that they can get Gerrard to the healers. Only half-listening to Kei's plan he replies, "Aye, well enough. Let's get this over with." He takes up position to the east of the door, readying his spear to strike as the skeletons emerge. He briefly considers advising Gerrard to be cautious, but thinks better of it.
OOC: Not that Gerrard knows it, but this is called a kill pocket. Push the door open, then step back and form a pocket with only one space available outside the room one step out of the door. Given the layout of the hallway, I think we might leave 2 squares open and use the end of the hallway to box them in:
Wall -- Person 1 -- Person 2 -- Person 3
Wall -- Open -- Open -- Person 4
Wall -- Partial Door -- Partial Door -- Wall

Gerrard Feldren - Human Noble in Ghosts of Saltmarsh
Kerric Brightblade - Elven Warrior in "Apocalypse"
((Are we not 5. Oceanus would make 5 would he not? That being the case, Kei would stand to the side of Person 3, allowing the more martial types to be in range of the exiting skeletons.))
Everyone in position and ready, Gerrard kicks the door open and then steps back into formation.
(I don't often do this, but I'll give you advantage on initiative against the mindless skeletons, who remain exactly where you left them.) Initiative: Kei: 22 Gerrard: 17 Peri: 22 Dwal: 19 Oceanus: 20 Trill: 19 Bjorn: 12 Skeletons: 5
Everyone may act. One complication: you notice the skeletons carry ancient short bows in addition to their blades.
OOC: Do the Skeletons current wield their bows or their swords?
If they have their swords out -->
Gerrard holds his place and waits for them to wade into melee (delaying his turn, but he will parry if one of them hits him)
If they have their bows out -->
Gerrard says, "D**n, they have bows; I'll try and draw them out," and moves into the room, swings at the first skeleton, and moves back to his place in the kill pocket.
Action: Attack with Rapier: Attack: 12 Damage: 10
Bonus: Attack with Main Gauche: Attack: 24 Damage: 5

Kei
"Blasted undead wielding bows. What next?!" A string of profanities spew forth from the Bards mouth. With the last of his breath he utters a curse on 4 of the boney bowmen.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The skeletons begin to cluster around the door, and are beginning to drop their swords for their bows. The lead skeletons seem unwilling or unable to step outside the room.
Before I resolve Gerrard's move, what are Peri and Dwal doing?

Peri:
((He removes a golden orb from his pack and intones, "Oh Lord, bless this, Thy holy hand grenade, that with it we might blowest Thine enemies to tiny bits." He rolls it in and counts, "One, two, five!" -jk))
Seeing their well-planned ambush fall apart, Peri attacks the skeleton nearest the door with his spear (13 for 6) and fires off a Ki-fueled Flurry of Blows ( first strike 10 for 7; second 18 for 4).
(He will attack the first skeleton until it falls, then move to the next if he still has attacks left. If he had to move to a position that would block Gerrard's attack he will back out and take his chances with their Opportunity Attacks)
Peri wades in first, impaling the foremost skeleton (#1) through its skull with his spear in an impressively powerful blow. The kick that follows shatters the undead dwarf completely, and it collapses into yellowed shards. Leaping from one ruined bunk to the next, Peri drop kicks the next skeleton (#2) square in its pelvis. It's damaged, but upright.
Stepping forward, Oceanus fires his crossbow at Peri's current opponent. Crossbow attack: 20 Piercing damage: 3
Gerrard moves in, and with a blazingly fast one-two with his dual blades, cuts down the skeleton behind the door (#6). He retreats, just out of range of the mindless dead.
Bjorn flies in, harassing and distracting skeleton #2 to help Peri.
Three skeletons surround Peri, changing their mindless minds about dropping their swords and instead flailing their baned blades at the fearless halfling. Skeleton #2 short sword attack: 14 Piercing damage: 7 Skeleton #4 short sword attack: 7 Piercing damage: 6 Skeleton #3 short sword attack: 4 Piercing damage: 8
Peri holds all three off with his handy spear and fancy footwork.
Skeleton #5 drops its blade and fires a blackened arrow at Gerrard. Short bow attack: 6 Piercing damage: 4
A miss. The arrow strikes the wall behind Gerrard harmlessly.
Everyone may act (and all with the benefit of Dwal's blessing. Peri also has advantage on #2.)

Peri:
Uncertain of how exactly he ended up in the corner surrounded by the undead, Peri desperately dodges their attacks. When the little dragon flaps into the injured skeleton's face he takes advantage of its distraction to crack his spear across its spine (20 for 5 damage). He lashes out with a kick at the next attacker (7 for 6 damage) and ducks between the legs of another to put himself south of the group of attackers, hoping to draw their attention and allow his companions to strike them from behind.
Peri smashes the damaged skeleton (#2) to pieces with another powerful blow of his spear. Hopping off the ancient bunk, he splinters off most of the next skeleton's leg (#4) before ducking south.
Skeleton #3 takes the opportunity to try to stick a blade between Peri's ribs as he slips southward. Attack: 15 Piercing damage: 8
A hit. The skeleton sinks the end of his blade just under Peri's shoulder blade, leaving a nasty puncture.
Everyone but Peri may act. Three skeletons standing (one mostly on one leg.)

Dwal
"Agreed," Dwal will say.
Dwal will walk back to the door and position himself in front of the door, hammer raised and at the ready.
(The door opens inward. Where will you each stand? What's your plan, exactly?)

As a studied Battle Master, Gerrard knows lots of tactics, at least on paper. ...Not that he's done them with real enemies.
Something like this?
Gerrard:
OOC: That is exactly what I was thinking, assuming we have 4 of us willing to melee the skeletons.
Gerrard has his weapons out, ready to attack the skeletons from their (hopefully) tactically superior position.

Curse laid he shouts at Peri. "They're ripe for the picking. Get in there and start your kicking" giving him a peculiar feeling of inspiration.
