Nasaar tries to climb up to the upper floor to attach a rope... He casts guidance on himself before doing so, pulling a small leaf from a pouch and munching on it to help him concentrate more fully on the task.
Acrobatics to climb: 23
He pauses once up and, staying still, casts guidance again...
Nasaar ties the rope on the third floor (to the second floor). His foot gets stuck as he moves around the creaky floor and one of the planks gives, but since he is in no rush, he manages to extract himself without much difficulty.
As battle approaches the normal jovial and joking manner of the minotaur has melted away. What has been left behind is someone that is stern and jumps to take command of the situation.
"Gathrik, this door will be your responsibility to hold for as long as possible. Serit and I will help as we are able, but there are three weak points here, so we will all have a primary responsibility for one of them.
Serit, in addition to helping with this door you take the eastern window. I will do what I can to hold the western one and help with the door when possible.
If things get bad fall back to the center of the room and cover eachother's flanks. If things go hooves over horns then retreat upstairs to the others. Remember, our objective tonight is to gain information, not win the battle. Don't make any last stand heroic gestures tonight...There will be time for that later."
After confirming that the others have at least heard his instructions, if not accepted them, he moves to be about equidistant from the west wall and the northern doorway, able to respond to either as the need arises and draws his ridiculous 6' sword. He stands in a sentry's pose, tip down but hands on the hilt at the ready. (This will be my final placement before the onslaught begins)
As it gets dark you hear the first distant giggle. Then another. And another... Before long, the air is filled with the sound of gravel creaking, the occasional rock being shifted, and the barks and giggles of the animals. Some stay back to dig around in the abandonned goblin buildings house, a few dive with excitement into the heap of junk, but most make their way towards the tower. Behind the commotion, you can make out a few larger shapes, staying behind the wave of fur advancing towards you.
Combat begins! First hyenas are 60' out (though in half cover) and those who have 60ft darkvision can take actions against them.
Order of initiative: Nasaar, Gathrik, Hyenas, Serit, Jardor, Gara
Nasaar pulls out a pen and quickly draws a circle and some brief details of the area he sees outside, drawing on whatever surface is available (probably tehh wall nearby.) Immeidatly the largest group of creatures he can see has a flood of light surround them, and the light tries to cling to the bonecrusher's bodies.
Casting faerie fire using his cartographer's kit as a spell focus. Creatures in a 20 foot cube must do a 13 DC dex save or be outlined in faerie fire. Attacks against those then have advantage. The creature also sheds dim light in a 10 foot radius. Objects in the area are all affected and shed light.
I will cast create bonfire outside window M6 and then i will use my bonus action to cast magic stone on three of my sling bullets, one of them enchanted with the scent of food.
I moved Gara to the other side. I would create the fire outside B5 and then move closer to the gap in the NE corner to get a view on the outside of the front door.
Gathrik stands between Jardor and Serit unsheathing his blade and adjusting his grip on the shield.

After finishing with the rope, Nasaar returns to the second story, ready with his heavy crossbow...

Four of the bonecrushers are in the area of the fire.
4 17 9 13
Two of them are illuminated by the magical flames. The dim light scattered by them reflects from dozens and dozens of eyes.
(Wow, was expecting to get a lot more than 4 in the area... Must be pretty spread out then.)
Gathrik will shoot his bow at one of the hyenas flocked with faerie fire, then he drops the bow unsheathes his blade and holds his shield.

The arrow finds its mark and with short squeal one of the beasts is pinned to the ground with an arrow through its body.

Scavengers advance, but do quite reach the tower yet. The closest are no more than 10 feet away.
(Do any stop to feed on the one who went down?)
Serit grasps his flail in his shield hand and says a few arcane words and place his palm to the narrow slit in the door.
Poison Spray DC 14

Serit then takes a few steps back (to J9) just in case

The scavenger closest to the front gate ducks just in time to miss the poisonous mist. After a short sneeze, it resumes the advance.
I assume B5 and M6 are baricaded windows.

As the scavengers approach Jardor remains motionless, unmoved by their strange calls mimicking the cackle of the deranged.
(I will take the dodge action this round, prepared to fend off anyone that approaches).

Turn 2 starts. Nasaar is up.
