Abigail, Lafetha, Morgan and Sim take a look at the hill, and all begin to head across it. Knowing the structure is unstable. They try to find their footing, where to step. Where not to step. But it ends up becoming a mess quickly. Stepping on pits that give away and sink down. Others tripping and falling as debris scatters about. As they turn to crest the ridge; the entire thing collapses. All four of them falling down, tumbling and crashing on to the ground.
From the ground, five snake-like necks made of bones and mangled flesh rise up. Each one forty feet in length with a mouth made of rocks and bone. The ground itself that the group landed on, a pile of bodies - torn asunder and left to rot.
((Everyone, roll initiative and give your action))
Round 1 (Begin)
Setup: Abigail, Morgan, Lafetha, and Sim are all prone, 20 feet down in a hole. The hole itself a 20 x 20 circular chamber covered in humanoid bodies and rotting things. FIve undead serpentine bodies and heads extend out from the ground, crunching and sloshing as they wiggle. Along the far East and far West of the chamber, are two large rocks: each one stuck into the earth. Small bits of rocks and roots line the sides of the chamber, giving some handholds. (STR / Athletics DC 12 to climb up. Move half speed unless you have a climb speed.) Sticking out from underneath some of the bodies, are a few random pouches and the glint of an item. (3 glints. DEX / Sleight of Hand DC 15 to grab one. Counts as Action). Wilson, a little ways away in his perch, sees the group fall down and the undead heads rise up.

"I told you all we should have gone around..." Abigail gets up bringing Alul's Greatsword out, readying for whatever these things are...
If monster go first, and does not attack Abigail, but does attack someone else in melee range.
Abigail gets up and moves to flank, swinging Alul's sword with a yell.
Attack: 14 Damage: 18
BONUS ACTION HERE depending on outcome of attack
If monster's go first, and at least one attacks Abigail:
"Shit, shit, shit, shit..." Abigail Disengages as she gets up and attempts to catch the breath that was knocked out of her [Second Wind: 4]. She moves 15 feet toward the nearest side.
[May activate Feline Agility to go an extra 30 feet depending on the number of attacks against her and her condition.]
If Abigail goes before undead:
Abigail sees the glinting stuff as she is getting up and hurriedly grabs for it (Sleight of Hand: 22), once she is up she moves 15 feet toward one of the sides as she concentrates on focusing in the moment (Second Wind: 5).
[May activate Feline Agility depending on situation with allies and enemies]
Summary: The four that were trying to get across the fall into the pit. These five, 40 feet long snake-like undead things sprouting out of the pile of bodies that lay on the floor. Each head turning to coil and slam their bodies down on to the prone crew, the weight of the strike combined with the horrific cold of nectrotic damage. Abigail (7) taking a pounding followed by Sim (11). Morgan manages to roll out of the way of the head that comes down after them, but Lafetha gets struck twice (17). Wilson flies down, landing in the group that's recovering from the blows. Glancing around, his quick hands manage to pull out two things from the decaying corpses (3, 4). Abigail gets up from being prone, quickly recovering some of the lost damage (+9) before heading towards one of the far walls. Sim, rolling over to his feet looks at the creature.
The way it moves, it's skin and parts like a swirling mass. How it's connected to the ground. You're not sure the type of undead it is, but you expect a few things. 1) It will heal as long as it has this massive pile of corpses to suck up and into. 2) It's connected to this pit, so once you're away from it - it likely can't chase you. 3) With it being undead, Radiant damage will likely hurt it more than other types. Likely the same with fire. But cold and necrotic won't work quite as well. But why it's here, or escapes you as the heads begin to swirl around for another strike...
Lafetha looks around, after taking the heaviest beating. She gets back to her feet, before heading over to one of the corners. She jumps, grabbing on to one of the stones in the dirt to use it as leverage to begin her climb. But her fingers slip. Morgan, having just rolled away from the attack, notices something glistening in the ground. They reach down and pull it out, (1) before getting up to their feet.
Wilson pulls out (1 & 2), Morgan Pulls out (3) 1) A unique looking gem that seems to glisten and glow a faint blue light - Wilson 2) a money satchel. (When you count it later, it has 4 gems each worth 50 gp, 10 platnum, and 50 silver) - Wilson 3) a rather nice set of boots that go up a few inches above the ankles, and are apparently metal tipped. - Morgan

Round 2 (Begin)
Situation: The crew is all in the base of this 20 diameter pit; 20 feet below the surface. The massive 40 foot tall snake-like corpse bodies swirling around, coming down for another set of attacks. Two other bits of glistening... things are stuck in the massive pile of bodies. (Action, DC 15 Sleight of Hand). Along the sides of the pit are rocks and roots that act as handholds for those to climb out. (Move 1/2 speed when climbing, unless you have a climb speed. DC 12 Athletics check to be able to begin to climb. Characters can assist one another by sacrificing their action to give each other a boost)
The large undead snakes once again turn and pile down at the crew.
Attack on Abigail: 18 Damage: 13 Attack on Morgan: 19 Damage: 13 Attack on Lafetha: 12 Damage: 10 Attack on Sim: 18 Damage: 10 Attack on Wilson: 20 Damage: 5
Morgan sees the destruction the undead beast unleashed on their party, "I'm going to die for boots?!? That ***** was right!" Morgan tries to climb the wall Athletics4 they can't get a hand hold so they use their action to aid the next person trying to climb out.

Round 2 (End)
Summary: The snakes continue to turn and smash down on to the ground. The blunt force and the draining necrotic energy striking most. Abigail (11), Sim (15), Wilson (11), Lafetha (14). When the creature turns to Morgan, they manage to use their shield to push off and away. Wilson gives a warning, before his hand diving underneath some of the corpses (5) Abigail jumps up, attempting to climb. The rocks begin to give away before she quickly scrambles; finding her footing and heading to the top. Pulling herself up and out of the pit. Both Sim and Morgan attempt to jump up and climb, but neither can find their footing. The roots and rocks falling causing them to slide back down. Sim, takes a breath. Incanting and bringing his hands around in a similar motion that people have seen Lafetha and formerly Yaalin do. A waft of healing passing through his body (+8), while Morgan gets set to push someone up and over the top. Lafetha turns into a small rodent with large claws; burrowing into the soft earth. The tunnel she begins to make is rather wet, and cold. Much of it getting into her face and eyes; but that'll have to do for now. Compared to hanging around the beast that had crushed her nearly to death.
Wilson pulls out...... a rather large red vial (potion of healing - greater)
