Hox leads you to the left through a twisting series of tunnels that seem almost never-ending. The minutes tick by, and you finally reach another intersection; one path soon reaches a dead end, while the other continues on, but in the midst of the corridor is a veritable labyrinth of small tiles upon the floor.
The tiles are standing upright, forming a maze-like design that stretches for at least ten feet on each side.

Sinlicht grumbles, "No...masssterrrr..."
The undead being leads you into the passage, which wraps back around the room into an intersection familiar to Tanakir. Further down the passage are two dead ends, one with a scattered series of tiles along the floor. The intersecting tunnel leads to a closed door to a room that the genasi was previously unwilling to navigate through.
Tanakir raises an eyebrow, "There is one path left, unless the spawn knows of another. It will require being a bit..." he glances at his own armor and Killian's skeptically, "stealthy. There is a room full of monsters beyond that door, and I doubt we can take them all on. We can play either quietly, or keep our armor and risk having to fend them off as we run. We could also send the spawn in to scout, or use it to hold off the monsters."
OOC: Gruun can absolutely study the tiles, but it will take a significant amount of time. Let me know how much time Gruun would be willing to spend to try and compare the tile labyrinth to the routes he has taken so far in this maze.

Hox picks up one of the tiles easily. It weighs as much as a coin, though twice as big and square. It seems to be made from ordinary stone, and has no special qualities about it.

OOC: The pipes that Killian gave Rycider are magical (she studied the qualities, which she can tell Rycider are pipes of haunting). Unfortunately, it looks like Rycider is not proficient with any wind instruments.
"Well, then we should have at it," Killian says. She directs Sinlicht to open the door and charge in, attacking the first creature she sees, and she follows her in, sword and shield up front.

GRUUN & HOX:
Ten minutes of studying brings Gruun to the conclusion that the tiles definitely correlate to this very maze. From what can he can tell, the current path ahead doesn't have many branches, but takes you to a couple of larger rooms. Committing any more to memory would take at least a couple more hours of study, however.

True to Tanakir's word, five otyughs lay within, spread about the 30-by-50-foot room, with one other door on the left wall from the entrance.

The noise of the vampire spawn's feral charge awakes the otyughs, which rise to their feet with a startling speed. The nearest creature meets the vampire spawn, sending a tentacle to wrap around its waist. The grapple can only be held for a brief moment before the vampire spawn wrenches the tentacle's grip away, its damaged flesh already regenerated. The other otyughs begin to circle around the combatants, closing in.
Round 1 Order: Otyughs Players <===== The vampire spawn has taken its action to escape the grapple.
Placement: Five otyughs are spread about the room. Three are in movement range. All are within 50 feet.

"See if you can get past them to the door!" Killian shouts as she engages the same one Sinlicht just escaped. "Go!"
