"Hey, I'm not the one who was originally spotted," Ura whispers back to Uthal as she climbs the stairs. "Besides, they could identify you by scent alone! Why don't you try to wash off some of that rotting hare smell you picked up from your shopping trip yesterday? It's like you hung on to the worst of that purchase without any of the benefits right now."
Noticing Anaeris has hung back, she hits Uthal on the forearm and gestures with her chin towards the other elf, putting the goliath on alert. "What's he up to? ... Should I go find out, or you think he'll punch me again?"
Anearis moved towards the door, silently stepping on the runner rug laid out on the floor. The door itself was solidly built and closed, but he could hear the conversation relatively clearly, from the point he started listening. The old man, whom Anearis to already know as Solomon Fortunus Sinclair, or 'Sol', was speaking with an unidentified woman.
"...or should I say 'Baroness' due to the city's current status." "No. The council and the Right Hand both recognize the Baron, as the city's official. He has been confined to his estate for safety reasons, but the current investigation has not linked him to the city's troubles. You, however...It was brought to my attention that Richter Two-Blades was seen gallivanting around the street outside your shop, at the same time that two individuals matching the description of two suspects, were seen entering your stock entrance."
"Well that's simply not possible, General, my stock door has been locked all day. Only myself and my apprentice are within the shop." "You wouldn't mind if the guard's took a look around your store room, would you?"
"Certainly, just as soon as you present a warrant. While I may not be harboring fugitives, I do currently have open inventory, in the shop's rear that belong to certain members of the Council. And you and I know both know that neither of us would benefit from disturbing such materials, without the Council's consent to do so." There was a long pause, before the voice, supposedly of the Right Hand, spoke again. "A representative from the Council will be here within a day, until then, I will have guards posted around your building. Good day, Archmeister."
The faint sound of the front shop door closing was followed by Sol's voice once more, still beyond the door that separated the front shop from the back store room. "Anearis Anessi, you should be upstairs with the others, retrieving your gear. Unless of course, you'd rather stay within the city."
Donovan leads the remaining party members to the second floor, per the old man’s instructions. A hallway at the top of the stairs had several doors, and ended where it intersected another hallway, whose own ends were out of view to you. “My lord, I brought your equipment here from the barracks,” Donovan informed Ander. He then turned to Uthal. “And sir, judging from the size of the armor, Sir Richter also brought your gear here as well.” Donovan opened a door on the left side of the hallway, and sure enough, inside among a large table and a bed, was laid out bulk piles of equipment.
((Ander, you now have all of your gear. Uthal, you have all of your gear, minus the Hide Armor))
Uthal begins to put his armour back on, tightening the straps to get it all to fit again. He then pulls a round shield emblazoned with the same vines as the tattoos that cross his body and straps it to his arm. "I'm no sir. This armour is much better. Where's the other armour?"
Upon realizing that Sol had spotted him, Anearis will promptly rise up. ‘’I’m...sorry. I wanted to make sure everything was alright.’’ He goes to turn and run up stairs but stops mid-turn. ‘’I do hope we meet again under better circumstance.’’ He then leaves Sol and runs up to catch up with the others.
His doubts about Sol had diminished when he heard him speak with the Right Hand. He stuck his neck out for the small group and Anearis wouldn’t let Sol down.
Ura takes the sword back with a grin, and like magic, Ander suddenly comes into her good graces. "No problem, that loaner helped keep all of us alive down there. Not bad at all... though you might want to take care of that before a guard spots you," Ura suggests, making motions at her own face, indicating the now-crusted paint still on Ander's.
“Other armor, sir?” Donovan looked at Uthal with a mixture of confusion and worry. “I don’t know, sir. I did not see another armor in the crate that was brought here. I will inquire about it!” Donovan quickly snaked his way out of the room, through the party, nearly bumping into Anearis at the top of the stairs. “I believe your wares are in the room as well,” Donovan blurted our as he rushes past Anearis and down the stairwell.
Once he makes sure all his things are back in his pack Uthal puts it back on and looks to the others. "So, we have our things and probably a lot of guards watching the doors. What are we doing now?"

Anearis being the the furtherest out of the room and crowd of the little party, sees movement at the end of the hall. A shadow, previously there when he first ascended the stairs, moves out of sight behind the left corner of the t-intersection.
"Well, making our way out of the city before the city finds us sounds like an excellent plan," Ura says to the others. "Let's get out while the getting is good."
Ura successfully finds and hides in the only shadow big enough to conceal her frame, the shadow of the open door to the room. Unfortunately the shadow doesn't stretch any further than immediately next to the door itself.
As Anearis hurriedly reaches the end of the hall and attempts to identify the source of the shadow, he finds himself face to face with a dark assailant (B1), with a drawn scimitar. He is wearing a black wrap-garb with worn brown leather armor on top of it. The individual's eyes are visible through a thin slit of skin shown on the face, while the rest is hidden behind the black cloth, wrapped around his head and shoulders. "Sir Anton sends his regards." While Anearis's attention is on this man, one of the assailant's compatriots, strike's at Anearis from behind.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Anearis never saw the attack coming. He was taken by surprise when the blade stung him in the back. He had carelessly run into an ambush. He hoped that the others would come and give him some support.
Recoiling from the pain, Anearis turned to face the cloaked figure that hit him. As a retort to the man’s threat, the elf sent a kick flying in his abdomen.
Attack: 16 Damage: 4
Using the same momentum, Anearis sent a spinning kick with his other foot up in the bandit’s face.
In a quick routine of deadly acrobatics, Anearis eliminates one of the three threats that appeared in the hall. The bandit (B2) crashes into the wall from the force of Anearis’s kick and crumpled to the floor. But the two others still remain standing. The bandit (B3) that had been standing behind the now downed ‘first-striker’ fires his crossbow at Anearis.
Seeing the scuffle begin Uthal moves up in to the face of the first bandit, swinging out with his hammer as he moves. "He can shove his regards down his throat."
Attack: 18 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.

Ander begins to go over his gear meticulously, running his hands over his mail, drawing his sword to inspect the blade.

"We are being watched. There is something down the hallway."
Uthal hefts his hammer and quickly follows after the elf, armour clanking as he moves.
