Having her own personal siege tower, Ura was deposited safely on the top of the wall, with no effort on her part. Ura landed on her feet perfectly as Uthal's outstretched arms placed her at the top, with Kel. Thus far, two of the party members successfully overcame the natural titan of an obstacle that was the ten-foot slope.
Forgoing his own attempts, Anearis humbly took Kel's assistance, and after climbing, and a bit of effort, he too managed to make it to the top. The third of five.
The old man stood at the slope's base, chewing on dried meat while just giddily watching the party members traverse the 'cliff'.
Likely due to shifting weight of Ander’s armor and equipment, combined with Uthal’s own fatigue, performing the same move as Uthal did with Ura, failed while attempting on Ander. Ander slipped from Uthal’s grip and landed directly on the Goliath’s head, with the force of a blunt blunt weapon. While Uthal suffers no actual harm, his muscles ache and his head becomes somewhat dizzy. ((Uthal gains another 1 point of exhaustion ))
Uthal just lays on the ground of a minute. "Entispe! This is the worst day ever! If we find something to kill I'm going to crush it just for fun." He stands back up sluggishly.

Ura does, actually, offer her rope, and looks around for something sturdy to tie it to and anchor it with that hopefully isn't only Kel. Finding that Kel beat her to the task, she shrugs and does her best to cheer on the others. Knowing full well that her muscles are not exactly up to the task, she just tries her best to provide help with whatever anyone is doing to get up this damned hill.
While it takes an exhaustive amount of time and effort, Uthal eventually manages to conquer the slope. With the assistance of the rope, who’s anchored tree holds fast, against even the weight of the Goliath, the entire party and their gear manages to make it up the 10 foot slope. It may have been nearing late morning when the group initially reached the slope, but by now, the sun was high in the sky.
Dah’Deey Yahn’Keey, has been silently standing there the entire time, watching the show, while continuing to chew on the same stump of dried meat. Upon the last of the party reaching the precipice of the slope, the old man looked around to see he was the only one of them still at the bottom, with the horses.
Dah’Deey walked a few paces away from the group, along the slope and grabbed something in the moss. Pulling, he violently shook whatever he was grabbing onto, until dirt and debris fell away, revealing a rope ladder on the slope. It was staked into the top of the slope, though Invisible at first glance due to the growth and coverage of the forest. As the old man effortlessly reached the top, he took his place back at Anearis’s side. “Younger me!,” he said with almost some questionable surprise. “So, where we heading?”
Watching Dah’Deey climb the slope so easily, Anearis felt a little silly. They probably should havw asked him if there were means of climbing it before complicating the situation. Nevertheless, they made it. But the hermit’s question left Anearis perplexed.
"The ruins...? You told us that once we were up the hill we should circle around the mountain to reach them. Do you know which side would be the fastest?"
“The ruins? The castle? Well as luck would have it, this path takes us right to it!” Facing westward, the old man pointed down the beaten path. “The way doesn’t get used much any more. Not since they were hunted to extinction, but that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t watch out. Never know when a stampede might happen. Fortunately for you, I know how to spot ‘em.” Dah’Deey Yahn’Keey flashed Anearis the most confident of smiles and winked before offering him yet another half-chewed bit of dried meat.
The old man cocked his head and stayed off into nothing, as if trying to see something that wasn’t there. “Did I not? Hmmm,” he replied to Ander while scratching his head. “You all couldn’t have asked earlier?” He shrugged his shoulders.
“Time to limber up though, long walk ahead. And we’ll need to move to stay ahead of the herd.” Dah’Deey Yahn’Keey then proceeded to hum a tune while making a collection of rhythmic sounds with his mouth. The actions that followed were quick deliberate movements that could best be described as popping, locking, and dropping.
Uthal stays quiet but looks ready to murder the elf, his fingers twitching around his hammer every now and then. He also doesn't move with his usual long strides, almost hobbling as he walks at half his usual pace.

Kel kept his face impassive during the exchange, shrugging off the feeling that somehow he was the tail end of a poorly conceived and ill timed cosmic joke. Once the others joined him a bit higher in elevation he bent to the task of coiling his rope, unwinding it from both himself and the tree it was anchored on. He gave a last glance at the horses before turning away. They weren't his property and even less of his concern. None of the others seemed heartbroken about anything so the tiefling assumed they were 'borrowed' without intent to return. He felt a pang of pity swell inside of him before it was quelled by the balancing of the scales. Whatever it was these people had done, they had done together and given little thought to the ramifications of others on their path to do so. His eyes narrowed and his inner working began to grind.
He adjusted his gearbag, once the rope was secure, grunting as the weight was again added to his frame. The old elf had stated to limber up for a long walk and they had much time to make up. He doubted they would, but he was being paid to find and return the Arbitrator, nothing more and certainly not dying by the machinations of some ill famed and unassailable beast of yore. Kel armed himself with his pike, wielding it like a walking stick and opened one of his rations for the day. He bypassed the hardtack until the evening and went in for the dried fruits. The old elfs tune floated back to him and he did his best to ignore it.

"... I still have my rope," Ura says while looking down at the two.
"That would help. Not sure if it'll- oh, here." Ander sets about doffing his 60+ pounds of armor and weapons. "Best pass this up first."

"You keep referring to this 'they'. Some sort of beast running along this path? Or use to if I understand correctly."
