"Please tell me you didn't just kill someone we could have at the very least gotten information from, Uthal?" Virgil moves ahead to see the result of the all too familiar flash from the hallway.
"Yes", Anearis calls back. The robbed figure was laying on the ground in front of him and Ura. Unfortunately, he had managed to call for help before he could be silenced. The group might potentially have company very shortly. The elf believed that they should hide the body.
"Ura, quick! Help me move the body back into the cell room" he asked the rogue.
Uthal heads over and helps drag the body back. "If you would like I can bring him back and we can see." He says to Virgil. Uthal pumps a bit of magic into him. spare the dying
Uthal successfully cast a spell upon the downed figure. However, there's no obviously noticeable response from the body, as it's dragged back to the cell room.
Uthal drags him back over so that he's sitting up, he then searches him for any weapons, holy symbols, or anything that looks like it could be used to cast a spell.

Gronk in Bastion, Kingdom of Medrin Elixisysin Talaveroth (Team 2) Uthal in Lost Continent of Theviranne
Rolling the potentially dead/potentially alive body of the robed figure, Uthal finds a odd dagger, and a small ingredient pouch.
The dagger has a red stained leather wrapped handle, and a wavy blade that while the point is perfectly centered, the blade's shaft went back and forth (left and right). ((A picture of the blade to be posted in discord)).
The ingredient pouch contained three vials of unknown powders (one black powder, one one, and one brownish red), four bones, presumably finger bones, if they belonged to a human, and five small rune stones, each polished and of a different grayish shade. Each stone also had a different rune inscribed on it.
Virgil medicine: 13
Inspecting the body itself, Virgil is first faced with a startling discovery. Several of the individual's body parts are different shades, and not just from lack of sunlight, due to clothing. While most of the body was of light peachie/orange shades, his left hand was greenish, like one might see on an orc. Additionally, one of his eyeballs was larger and a different color, with a 'surgically modified' eyesocket to fit it.
The body appeared to be deceased, however, there were still movements, not necessarily spasms, but slow minuscule reverbs.
"Well he's not undead, from the looks of him, but he is strange..." Virgil has a moment of realization. "Oh. Oh Gods! To what end Anton? Undead are one thing, but what twisted purpose could possibly warrant this!?"
Anearis grimaces at the sight of the abnormalities on their captive. He remembers what he saw in the underground below the Berossus' manor.
"This is why we need to stop the Berossus. They perform some dark ritual where they use another's life force to regain there own. I have seen them use the body of captive to heal their own. It is blasphemy."
Ura looks at the body, wondering if she did the right thing. He did call for help... which has her on high alert. And he did have those freakish stones and daggers on him, which makes her think this figure was a colluder, rather than a victim. But who would do that to themselves, she wonders, as she studies his mismatched eyeballs.
Taking a closer look at the stones, she tries to determine what they could be used for, or what the runes mean. Arcana: 6
After a cursory look, she pipes up. "Yeah, this is what they were doing... making stitch and paste monsters out of various peoples' body parts. They were particularly looking forward to grafting Uthal's arms on someone. Of course, back in Cathaan, the victims had been unwilling, kidnapped. This one looks like a volunteer." She stands up. "And he obviously had friends, since he called out to them. We're probably going to be neck deep in shit very soon, so I suggest we prepare ourselves for his friends."
After refreshing her mage hand, Ura tries to move to the side and slip back into the shadows and watch the corridor for any more signs of movement. Stealth: 21 Perception: 8
As far as Ura is concerned, the runes don't mean anything. They could just as well have been random scribbles of a child, as they could powerful magic symbols capable of ending all existence. Having no reason to pursue the runes further, she hide in the shadows and took an over-watch position for the corridor tunnel.
Standing over the body, and those crouched around it, Ander watched the inspection. "Does he have anything written on his skin? Any lines drawn, or runes inscribed on his body?"
Nack moved from the first cell, to the second, passing Austin. Climbing the crypt and reaching down into the ashes he produced something. He walked out of the cell holding a gnarled staff in one hand, and two small metal rods in the other. He weighed the two against each other, moving his hands up and down, looking back and forth between them. "Dragonborn, you were right." Nik called out to Viilgahan without looking away. Finally he decided to lean the staff against the wall, slipping the rods into his belt, hangng them by a chain running between them. "Oh, what 'ave we here?" Seemingly oblivious until now, he approached the downed robed figure. "Who's this?"
"One moment, what did you just pull out of the dust?" Austin says, nodding to the rods and the staff. "What are those, and how did you know they were there?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Pass along one of those runestones, will you Uthal? And...stop doing that! It's impossible to have a conversation with someone who keeps disappearing!" Virgil inspects the stones when given the chance Arcana 13.
Thinking back on the runestones that Virgil is now inspecting, Ura frowns. "Don't like messing with things I don't understand," she mutters under her breath. Then she points a finger at Uthal and sends him a message, just to keep from making too much noise from where she's hidden.
Hey. D'you think you or someone else here can figure out if there's a magic aura attached to that twisty dagger you took? It could be useful for stabbing things... but it also might be cursed.
"Found this in tha first cell, under the ash. Dragonborn figured could be more." Nik padded the rods hanging from his belt as he responded to Austin. "These ones mine, tho. Least til we find better loot."
While the runic symbols on the stones were nothing that Virgil had ever seen before, there were without a doubt magical. Each stone resonated with some sort of unknown arcane aura. Virgil even sensed that the stones had a further magical bond between them.
Austin shrugs and moves to the staff. She lifts it, checking its balance. With a shrug she carries it with as she returns to the cell she had moved the lid aside in, then checks in the dust to see if anything was in there.
