Tahnis wakes up the next morning after a long rest and feeling refreshed. He takes several minutes to jot down some more notes from his latest adventure as he pulls a cloak and feels the energy of the multiverse around him, including the energies of Krynn. He rubs his face, noticing the stubble before going downstairs and greeting Prosper and eats breakfast. Seeing her rise from her seat, Tahnis will follow her. "Yes, the message board is a good way to start the next step in our journey."

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
After a good breakfast, and at least one hand at cards, Robwin will grab his pack and cloak from upstairs and is happy to head out with everyone towards the noticeboard...
(OOC: @Prosper (and everyone), you want to roll for who wins cards? Maybe staking 1gp each for whoever’s in? Winner takes all? Maybe a straight d20 roll, advantage or proficiency if you have a reason, sleight of hand if you want to cheat? Maybe performance or deception for bluffing? Lol, or are there proper mechanics for it?)
(OOC: @PotatoCrown, I assume we pay for breakfast and rent the same rooms again? Let us know the cost).
Vimak wakes early as well and sneaks out of the room as quietly as he can. Once he is outside in the dawn light, he will warm up for the day with one hundred burpees. He does this quickly and raises a small cloud of dust in the process. With his axe, he runs through his favorite drills, routines he learned as a solider. He's thoughtful this morning, slightly reflective.
Vimak doesn't feel like he is the smartest goliath, but he decides he wants to really understand combat. Make an academic field out of it, if he can. Study the history and theory of fighting. He holds his axe up and considers it. He ought to study some weaponsmithing as well. He's going to focus his training on some specific maneuvers for a little while. He hopes to master battle.
After this moment of reflection, he packs up his gear, eats a side of beef, and follows the others toward the notice board.
Adas leaves his main gear in the rented room, merely carrying his weapons and armor. He seems his usual quiet self and greets everyone with a calm smile and nod. "It was a very peaceful sleep, good morning everyone. Solonor revealed himself further to me last night by way of a brilliant hunt during my meditations. I can only take this as further success for us this day."
As the group heads towards the notice board, Robwin summons Lia. She eyes him up and down from her place on his forearm and blinks her approval at his smarter look. Then she leans in, just a bit, towards Robwin and touches her forehead against his for a second or two. A little reassuring gesture before the toil of the day.
Then Robwin sends her up like the day before, to circle just above and just keep an eye out for danger both near and far.

(It'll be 5sp again for another night at the inn. You guys can just do a one time payment of 3sp for as many meals as you want, no matter how long you guys stay at the inn. If you guys want to play for cards, roll a d20 and who ever gets the highest wins.
Just making sure since I forgot to clarify, 75gp was earned. Split amongst 5, that would be 15gp for each person. Please correct me if my maths is wrong, haha.)
The party gets their things together and head on over to the board. The gnomes decide to split from the group, choosing to explore the village a bit and getting to know the people so that they'd be able to protect the place better.
Over at the board, you see a group of adventurers pull a job off before heading out. As stated by the Town Master, you also see three new jobs.
Butterskull Ranch Quest. “Orcs have attacked Butterskull Ranch, five miles east of Conyberry along the Triboar Trail! Travel there with haste, assess the damage, and help any way you can. Ranch owner Alfonse “Big Al” Kalazorn is a retired sheriff who can reward you for your efforts. If he’s dead, return to Townmaster Harbin Wester with proof of Kalazorn’s demise to receive a reward of 100 gp.”
Loggers’ Camp Quest. “Deep in Neverwinter Wood, along the river that flows west toward Neverwinter, is a logging camp. Every two months, Phandalin delivers fresh supplies to the camp, which is run by the half-brother of Phandalin’s townmaster, Harbin Wester. Barthen, the local provisioner, has prepared a new delivery. He needs someone to bear the supplies safely to the camp. Return to Harbin Wester with a notice of delivery signed by his half-brother, Tibor Wester, to claim your reward of 100 gp.”
Mountain’s Toe Quest. “The Mountain’s Toe Gold Mine lies fifteen miles northeast of Phandalin. The new overseer, Don-Jon Raskin, just made the trip from Neverwinter to Phandalin and needs to be escorted to the mine. There’s no telling what dangers lie between here and there. Once you deliver Raskin safe and sound, return to Townmaster Harbin Wester to collect a reward of 100 gp.”
Robwin calls to the other adventurers in a cheerful tone “Ho there, adventurers! We should all look out for each other. Where are you headed today? Any sight of The Dragon?...”.
(OOC: coin for meals and another night stay deducted. And maths for the quest rewards looks right).
OOC: Tahnis will pay for another night at the inn and meals.
As he looks over the board, he notices the post about Butterskull Ranch. "If we want to warn folks about the dragon, we may want to speak to this Big Al and let him and his staff know."

Prosper waves a cheerful goodbye to the gnomes, wishing them well. At the board, she quickly reads through the quests, giving merely a nod of greeting to the other adventurers, but she doesn't particularly desire to talk to them. "You're quite right, it's important that the ranchers aren't caught unaware after the orc raid. With any luck, we can find Kalazorn and return within the day. Anyone have any business within town, if not, early start's always good! It looks to be a bit of a hike, same as yesterday."
As Robwin calls out to the other adventurer's, the one who took the job off the job calls out, waving the piece of paper in the air. Vimak doesn't seem to recognise any of them. "Heading to the Dwarven Excavation site to warn the workers about the dragon. We haven't seen it yet, though, and hopefully it stays like that. We're just here to help the people out, not really into the business of dragon slaying." They bid you all goodbye, as well as good luck in your own quests, as they hurry off out of town.
(OOC: Robwin has a few things to buy and sell. If it’s all just standard basic adventuring gear from PHB, are you happy for me to just manage that out-of-game, paying book price for buying, and getting half-price for selling? Or do you want me to send a list to the OOC stream? Maybe he nipped out before breakfast to grab a few things?)
Robwin wishes the other adventurers good luck and waves them off.
Then he turns to Prosper and says discretely, “Last night it sounded like there was something you needed in town but couldn’t afford it. I’d be happy to lend you some cash if you thought it would help our chances any. I think I’ve got maybe 20 gold or something...”, he says, poking about in his coin purse a bit.
Robwin also agrees with the plan for the morning, “Yes, we should head to the Ranch and help out against the Orcs. That seems most pressing”.
And looking up at the weather, he neatly folds his cloak and stows it in his pack for now, enjoying his lighter clothes today, and a little proud of his college robes. He’s ready to head out.
(Yep, I'll let you handle all the stuff but it would be good to at least get a list of what you want to purchase so that I know where you got things from.)
"So, 'five miles east of Conyberry along the Triboar Trail,'" Vimak quotes the notice. "What's a Conyberry?" He looks down at his feet for a moment. "I wonder if there is a place in town to buy horses," he says. "I also wonder if we can afford them. Probably not."
"Anything else in town," he says, "or should we start walking?"
Propser looks mildly stunned at Robwin's offer initially, then she cracks a grin and shakes her head, her ponytail flopping forward. "No, don't worry about it, it's fine. I wouldn't want to owe you money, that'd be rather awkward. I'm sure I'll manage after some scrimping and saving! Although," She frowns thoughtfully. "Horses would be rather convenient for all of us, if we're going to be doing all this trotting about. They're rather expensive though, aren't they? Maybe we can look at some once we come back."
Robwin nods to Prosper, understanding. But he reassures her anyway: "I've been lucky enough to pick up a lot of what I need, already, from Gnomengarde...... Just know, that the offer's still there, if you need a bit more, for anything. We're in this together now, I think!". He attempts a smile.
Then he responds to Vimak's suggestion of horses, "Yes, I think if we start needing to range much further from town, horses could be a necessity. Or if we need to get anywhere in a hurry...". He listens to Prosper and agrees: "...but yes, horses (and anything else), can wait until we're back from the ranch". Then he thinks.... "hmmm, maybe the 'ranch' will have horses?! Either way, let's head there on foot for now".
Robwin will head out with the rest of the group towards the Ranch. As they get near, he might indicate to the team to move in quietly, or even cast mage armour, depending on the scene as they approach. And Lia will keep a lookout, from the air, as they travel (and stay within telepathic range of Robwin (100ft)). Lia the owl has +3 and advantage on perception checks.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(The trip to the ranch will take about three days of travel on foot. If that changes any of your plans, just let me know. For now, I'll go through the first day of travel to see if there are any encounters. If there's nothing you'd like to do during the following days, let me know so that I can go through the days quickly rather than one by one.)

The first day of travel to Butterskull Ranch is a peaceful one, as is usually the case when following the roads. You leave town and head north to the Triboar Trail, reaching it at around midday and continuing to follow it for the rest of the day. You don't encounter any other people while you travel nor do you hear or see the dragon. Eventually, nightfall comes and the party takes camp on the side of the road. The night goes by as peacefully as the day did.
(OOC: @PotatoCrown: Should we track rations? I only packed 2, so I'll buy more now. Otherwise, I'm fine to head to the Ranch. I'll also just contribute these bits of role play, for the journey):-
As we leave the town behind, Robwin will wear the hat of wizardry. It looks like an antiquated, cone-shaped hat is adorned with gold crescent moons and stars.(OOC: I imagine it's old-looking and kind of rumpled, and maybe a dark- to mid- greyish-brown, with moons and stars embroidered all over in some kind of fine golden thread).
At some point, Robwin will let his friends know he thinks he's making a breakthrough with some new spells that he's been practising. But he'll also admit, this seems to coincide with his continued meditations with the hat, and he feels like the knowledge and experience that's leaking from the hat might somehow be helping him make progress he may not have otherwise been able to make....
He'll also grab Adas at some point, and ask him about healing and healing magics. He'll admit that when Tahnis went down it shook him and he realised he had no means of helping his friends if they fall, and he's secretly bought a healer's kit! He'll ask him to coach him a little on how to use it.
Tahnis wakes up the next morning after a long rest and feeling refreshed.
