Garnet is a bit run down from the onslaught of rats. Her shield lost somewhere in the chaos.( I swear I had one) The rat beast's bile or her injuries cause her to feel less in control of her own actions, less rational. Garnet will swing her sword at the G rats belly using divine smite.

[Amazing! Love smite. And sleep is working well for you all. GARNET - check off your last spell slot on your char sheet. Re: shield - don't worry, there is probably equipment here somewhere, even if it's in the kobold enclave].
You surmise it's likely early afternoon in-game time on Day 2.
@garnet - As the genasi strikes true on the malformed rat, a ring of small ghostly red rubies encircles the creature growing brighter and brighter and spinning faster and faster. It reaches top speed and smashes down into the disgusting monster, it's wail of pain and anguish suddenly cut off. It falls lifeless to the ground but in the process of dispatching the beast, it's body explodes outward in a shower of acidic bile, internal organs, and other viscera.
Garnet, Daemyar, R1, R2 - make a dexterity save (DC10). On a fail, take 6 acid damage. R1 and R2 fail automatically, so they each take the damage. R1 is awakened by the burning liquid and it's last sounds are made in agony. R2 looks bad but is back on its feet, matted hide smoking from the acid burns.
R4is still asleep, blissfully unaware of anything around it.

(( lol...love the explosion! ))
Ithelion glances around the corner, drawn by the awful sounds. Her eyes widen at the carnage that was wrough, but they quickly narrow at the sight of the rat that has started moving. Once again she will use her bow, the main threat having been so convincingly eliminated.

@ithelion - your arrow strikes true and pin-cushions the rat. Though heavily damaged, arrow sticking out of it, smoking and stinking fur, this rat is still holding on to life somehow. [OOC: explosion might have a bit misleading haha, more like when someone smashes a watermelon with a sledgehammer!]
@daemyar - you easily shuffle backwards, getting out of the way of the acidic internal organ shower spray.

Krom will hold out his holy symbol, and pointing to one of the rats (R1) saying as he casts Sacred Flame, "Feel the burnin' heat from the flames of the Great Forge."
Action: Casts Sacred Flame on R1, DC 13 Dex save or take 4 radiant damage

Unable to dodge in time, as an expected result, stomach acid rains down on Garnet. The foul liquid hissing against her chainmail and burning exposed flesh. Garnet will move to strike the nearest living rat with her sword.

(I think it's R2 )
Attack: 7 Damage: 10
The burns from the acid seem to have crept onto your hands and at the last second your wrist falters, hitting the ground next to R2.
Ithelion glances at her companions, and moves forward and to the side of the corridor with her bow drawn, waiting for the rat to waken so she can get a clear shot.
Movement: Up the corridor a little, to one side so companions can pass to attack. Action: Readied attack triggered by rat waking up and becoming a clearer target (hoping it just dies first!)
Ithelion glances at Garnet, "Uh...not long...a minute, perhaps. Sometimes people stay asleep if they were drowsy, but the magical compulsion does not last long. Likely, it will wake up annoyed and hungry..."

R4 is still sleeping...........FYI any melee attack on it is at advantage, and if it hits, it's an auto-crit. Ranged attacks have disadvantage...

[ooc - A minute is a long time in combat - 10 rounds - I think you all are on the fourth or fifth round?]
Sooo, do you want to leave it alone, Lorell? Obviously, your companions might have other ideas... ;)
