The shaft glows with a bit of a hue, but it's the same soft light that surrounds you that is infused in the building materials of the citadel itself. It's just a bit stronger. You recognize it as transmutation magic. [this is nothing new, those who built the citadel were master builders who infused magic into the construction materials themselves - it's why the citadel is largely intact despite falling into the earth...]
What next, gang? Follow the herd? Long rest? Run back to the kobolds?
If you wanted to take anything from the pile to the south, just let me know. Basically any mundane item under 5gp could be scrounged from there, either individually or by taking some time to scavenge.
((By my count there are six doors yet to be investigated, as well as the pit/well))
Ithelion looks dubiously at the pit in the centre of the room before saying, "Let's see what's behind these doors, shall we?"
Elosa returns to her shoulder and they both go to examine the North door. If nothing is immediately obvious, she steps back 30' and tries to open it with a cc spectral hand.
((We've only just finished a long rest, is another really an option?))

No, not really. I didn't think you would have rested but should have accounted for it. Feel free to update your characters to the next level. Sorry Shere for making you go through all that copying a character nonsense.
There are many more than 6 doors unopened. Each green blob is a door you haven't opened yet.
Ithelion, the door is not locked and quickly going through it, it is a passage that connects to the other three doors to the right of it. The hallway you initially came down - the foggy/smoky one.
The door is unlocked. As you approach and look in the room, the stench, garbage, and carrion here are evidence of years of use by unsanitary tenants. Tattered hides stretched on frames form six unstable hammocks around a much-used firepit. Battered cooking equipment is mixed indiscriminately with broken or worn arms and armor. There are some soiled bowls and spoons on the floor near a couple of small barrels in the corner with writing in the goblin language on them. You shiver a bit as you read what they say: "Elf Pudding."
(( low fat diet, I guess. They'd all be dead from heart disease if it as Dwarf Pie ))
Ithelion just stares at the barrels for a moment before closing the door. She leans up against it, memories threatening, but she closes her eyes and takes a series of deep breaths. Some things never change.
"Well" she says, "only one more path here, I think." She looks apologetically at Elosa and nods toward the pit, asking her to move slowly down it, moving cautiously between perches if possible.
Ithelion sits in the old throne, and links her senses with Elosa.
(( That's all the doors in *this* area, right? A bunch back in Kobold Kingdom, though... ))

The pit/well in the center is covered by pieces of wood. It is not locked or anything, it just has a big piece of the wall that has crumbled on top of it.
After ailing to move it with a Mage Hand, Ithelion sits in the thronw and asks the more burly members of the party if they could clear the well. "It's the only way down that we've found so far" she says, by way of explanation.

No. It's not. You asked me before where the shaft was. I think I said it is off to the far left of the map but it's just not shown. My bad if I didn't say that but I thought I did. You all watched the goblins go off that way.
But you're right about mage hand, it cannot lift the rock.
In Room 1 (that's the room Durnn's body is still in) near the south wall, you spot a veritable hill of mundane items. If you spend time searching, you could find nearly any mundane item that is worth 5gp or less.
I have put a map here that represents Ithelion's own drawings. Currently you're all in one of the two rooms at the top left. All the green blobs are doors that you haven't yet opened:
Ithelion has checked the room and doors in these two rooms, Daemyar has looked in the chest. The well in the middle is covered by wood with a big rock holding it alll down. The area beyond those doors is empty except for some elf pudding detailed above. Im referencing only the top right quadrant. clockwise 1-6
1 - door that opens to a passageway that leads to doors 2,3,and 4. 2,3,4 see above 5 unopened 6 elf pudding.
(( Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that we have now investigated all of the doors on the north side of that map, as well as the one to the southwest of the big room? We have not investigated the one on the south side of the long corridor, or the hole covered in fallen wood, or the hole through which the goblins fled (or are the latter two the same? )) [[ simultaneous post]]
(( Are there two ways down: the one the goblins left by, and the well? ))
Shere gives a whimsical smile "Oops I think I killed it. It didn't have a chance to,,,,,,, Brranch out" He investigates 7 the remains further
note the detect magic is still on passive investigation 13

Realizing that there is yet one door still unchecked, Ithelion examines it carefully before opening it from afar.
Perceptions, if nedded: 20
Elosa: 17
ooc: Make it that door then that the elf is checking but I'll step back and let her do her thing afterwards
