Alright! Here's what you rolled for:
As Ithelion inserts the key into the locks.....
....3 mimics snarl in anger at you! just kidding!
they pop open - no traps, no nothing. Strange that the mongrelfolk didn't bother to look. Perhaps they have no need of such things. All of you, however...
You also find a small satchel with 6 x Antitoxin and a letter. The letter reads: "Whosoever bears this writ and has information leading to the recovery of the contents of this caravan will, upon delivery of said writ, be entitled to 10 gold pieces. Signed Kerowyn Hucrele, Matron of House Hucrele, Merchant Family of Oakhurst." The date is stamped in the top corner - it is about 3 months old.
Decide how you want to split it up.
Let me know if you want to do anything else while you're here in the strange creatures' camp...(btw, about an hour or so has passed).
If there happen to be any sacks or bags -- they would be useful, and perhaps a scroll case...and any extra arrows always welcome. Ditto paper or empty notebooks!
((ooc: The bag of holding makes transport a little easier...I suggest we put what we can in it...
I suggest Garnet should probably get the goggles (she can't see in dark), and Ithelion, scrolls...the gold can be split (51.78 gp each)...and maybe the rest just goes in the Bag of Holding for now??
Not sure what The gems are worth 190gp...not sure how much they can be sold for))
Lorell takes a look at the items in the chest and says " I will abstain from taking anything from the chest." Lorell then tries to walk up to the wolf to see if it is less skittish.
((OOC: Gems should probably go first and foremost to any of us who can use them as materials for spells or rituals.))
Watching Lorell move away Garnet nods in agreement. Turning to Ithelion "We can look through this at a safer location for now, let's bag it up and move on. perhaps the wagon back down the path is still usable." She helps put the items together for travel. Making sure to grab the note from the merchant.
( OOC In the bag of holding? Or careyscarry some however we do it is fine. )
Garnet looks over to Krom. " If you have finished with their last rites. I think we should go."
Ithelion frowns, considers the realities of per position and says "I am a student of the arcane with very little wealth to my name; I am not above taking things that others no longer have use for, and which may aid me."
She turns Seedo's crown around in her hands, and frowns. "Perhaps with the exception of that poor Kobolds belongings. I would like them to go to his brother."
Krom finishes up the last rights for the dead, "Aye, I'm done lass. Lets be gettin' on our way to Oakhurst." Krom will help carry a portion of the loot.

You exit the forest the way you came, everything is the same way you left it, except you now have some new stuff. The white horse continues to eat grass but it's condition has worsened. The arrow likely not being the cleanest you've seen and the horse's flank quivers regularly now. The mutilated horse seems to have decayed rapidly in the time you've been gone and now it's a bit like a lump of flesh.

The horse notices you approach from the forest. It whinnies and nickers, stumbling a little bit, and trots off about 30 feet from you.
You are all near the edge of Neverwinter Wood by the New Road as it curves to the left and enters the wood, mountains on the left and deep forest on your right.
Krom leans his warhammer against the cart and lets out a heavy sigh and rubs the back of his neck. "Lorell, ye mind helpin' me with the horse. If we're gonna use the cart we'll need somethin' to pull it." He begins to slowly make his way towards the horse, twisting the ring on his finger and trying not to be a threat.

Lorell’s calming influence eases the horse’s nervousness. You are able to lead her back to the wagon. She lumps slightly. Krom with the help of the others you set the cart aright, the wood creaking as it sets into place. It’s not a big wagon but could probably carry all of you, even with one horse instead of two. Its just past midday.
"Just a wee moment fer we leave." Krom pulls the arrow out of the horses flank before invoking the power of his family's ring to cast Lesser Restoration to remove any poison that might be in the horse's system. Touching his holy symbol to the horse he will say a short prayer, "Moradin, let the warmth of yer forge wash over this poor creature to sooth its pain and heal its wounds." Krom will cast Cure Wounds on the horse as well, healing it for 11 points.

Together with Lorell, Krom is able to heal the horse and remove any taint from the beast. Other than a few loose planks and some cracks, the cart seems roadworthy. You are unsure at this time how it will hold up for prolonged travel... What do you wish to do?
Ithelion approaches Krom somewhat nervously, "Thank you for agreeing to investigate the killings. I know you did not want to...' she pauses briefly, looking for words, "...but I think we did a good thing."
Krom picks up his warhammer and grunts, "Narry ye mind lass. Ain't much to say 'bout the stubbornness of Dwarves, aye." Krom has no idea how to drive the cart so he climb up in the back.

After ensuring everything is loaded and secure in the wagon. Garnet checks that horse's harness is still adhered to the cart. Satisfied enough she hops in the driver seat adjusting her own gear so her shield is at her back and taking the reins. "I have driven a cart before." She rubs the back of her neck. "Although it has been awhile, I think I can still manage. If ya'll don't have any objections."
( Can earth walk be applied in this situation? I know walk is in the name of the trait, but technically it just says when I move across terrain?)
@Garnet - you mount up properly and hitch the wagon to the horse. It’s a bit odd to see since the cart normally has two horses so one side of the cart is vacant. The horse is receptive to your commands.
Do you all wish to leave then? Are you looking for a camp or trying to push on to Oakhurst?
[your Earth Walk applies only to you and only when in difficult terrain. You’re on a road so it’s not difficult and you can’t transfer this power to others or inanimate objects. As an individual, you are not bothered moving across rocks, Stone, or earth that is considered difficult to traverse].
Krom's rolls:

Garnet looks over to Krom. " If you have finished with their last rites. I think we should go."
(( Assuming that Ithelion is able to find the sacks/bags/scroll cases etc that she was looking for: ))
She proceeds to pack the things carefully and securely, then place them all in the bag of holding for transport.
