With a straight face Boosey adds, "Alas, I do not believe my arse is quite scaly enough. Besides, my hips aren't quite as wide as you've gotten used to, you might have trouble finding it"
Sthara looks Dunk's wounds over, but she is unfamiliar with this type of beast. Any wounds it suffered are small in comparison to how large the thing is. There's no telling how much damage the poison did - if it had any effect. Dunk makes an sound of pain as the tiny spear is withdrawn, but it easily calmed with soothing words from the yuan-ti pureblood. After that the creature walks with ease.
Eku responds positively to Allister and Sthara's warning about moving along, "I believe that would be wise to move along. We can find rest in many places, though we should be wary injured as we are." Her eyes flitter to Allister if only a second at that comment and then returns her attention to Nenne. "Kelemvor...very well." With this, she simply nods. As they walk, she addresses the party as a whole, "Those grungs, the green and yellow ones, are their warriors. There are blue ones that seem to mainly stay in or around their villages and the red ones seem to be some sort of shaman leader for the things, so if you see a red one, look for magic."
About a half mile from the river crossing the party comes across two large boulders steepled up against a rather large tree. The space is open and looks defensible for a campsite. Further investigation shows a campfire or two had been set in that very place, but not anytime recently. The rest goes by uninterrupted and when it becomes apparent that it is time to go again, Eku reapproaches the 'elephant in the jungle', "The coast might be safer. Truth be told, I find myself more at home and comfortable in the jungle. There is a sense of complacency around the coast that I have seen work against many after days of easy travel." She looks towards the nearby trees and back to the party before finishing with, "I am but a guide. Give me a destination and I will see you through!" Something about her words give each of the heroes encouragement that blossoms into determination.
Her words are meant to be inspiration for everyone. This is used before a roll to give advantage on the roll and lasts until it's used, or you die.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"I concur, lady mage."
Naturally vigilant and slow to endanger her already-hurt friends, Nenne will scan the area for any signs of creatures hidden in the clearing (Perception 19).
While we're resting Boosey takes out his flute and plays some soothing contemplative melodies as the fires burn. OOC: Song of Rest If anyone spends hit dice, you can add 1d6 hit points to the result.
So, I like to give how much time you've had between encounters or battles right before the next one in this adventure because you never know how many might come up in one day. At this point, it's jumping from day 3 to day 6, so you should all be fully rested.
As the sixth day came, Funderburk was once more found on Dunk's back. He began to really like the creature. He was happy that he got to clean it back and feet whenever they rested, to keep him perfect for battle also. He enjoyed being on the back during their last encounter with the beasts after a problematic... green goo was sprayed on Boosey. Though he did not mention it, the Vedalken was happy it was not himself. That would have taken days if not weeks just to soil them out. At this point he figured everybody knew he was a perfectionist. Though because of that, he kept a watchful eye on Allister. After his unfortunate accident, apologizing profusely to him afterwards, he still thinks that he's going to get him one day. Either by a permanent crease on his cloths, or a horrible stain.
"If it weren't for this blasted jungle friends, I would say that the day is pretty nice don't you all agree?" He patted Dunk's back once more. "Onwards my friend."
He also looked at Eku, "If it is not bothersome in anyway, can you tell us how many moons left we have until our arrival?"
If I can, I want to roll for animal handling to get closer to Dunk. It may not be needed, but want to do it for the just in case: 19
As the party moves deeper into the jungle, the light rain of the third day disappears for the first half of the fourth day, leaving everything glistening in the patches of sunlight that pokes through the far away canopies of the jungle. Nearing time to set up camp for the night, the rain comes back and continues at a steady pace for all of the fifth day.
Day 6
When the party awakes on day six, the rain has gone leaving the area cooler than any of the other previous days - cooler for Chult, that is...While travelling along, an area beyond a large frond reveals itself to be full of trampled vegetation and snapped trees. With no immediate threat presenting itself, Eku moves into the space and stops in front of a pile of large scat. Rubbing her chin, she looks around perplexed, and then back to the scat.
"If I may say, it is quite really the eye offending creature." Funderburk exclaimed. "Shall we leave it alone or... rid of its misery?" He said the last part with a sleight chuckle.
"I only mean it as a joke... unless." He said in clarification.
Eku nods in agreement with Sthara and turns to Boosey, "I...I do not know. I can't place it. This is unfamiliar to me. Certainly, there are larger creatures than whatever might have made this, but we should still be cautious."
“Larger than this? Do you have a kraken roaming this jungle? Tempus help us if we encounter one of those monstrosities.“ Allister draws his blades and looks at them doubtfully. „I might need sturdier blades in this jungle.“
"I can't say that I'm that keen on meeting something that shits a pile that's almost as big as I am. Is there any way to tell if this thing is carnivorous?". He picks up a stick and pokes at the pile gently.
Allister and Boosey poke around a bit in the pile, causing Eku to make a face and back off a bit at the freshly released smell. Inside are indications that whatever dropped this wasn't a herbivore. Eku, having wandered over nearest Nenne and Sthara asks, "Do either of you make anything of this? Do you have spells that can aid in this? I would like to know what we are looking for."
“Just the opinion of an uneducated sailor, but I’m not looking for anything anymore when it comes to this.“ He’s holding up some bone or another part that indicates a carnivore produced the turd. „I don’t want to end up in the next pile, maybe get to a part of the jungle where we are not standing in the open like food on a tray.“
With a straight face Boosey adds, "Alas, I do not believe my arse is quite scaly enough. Besides, my hips aren't quite as wide as you've gotten used to, you might have trouble finding it"

Nenne takes a moment to compare Boosey's hips with the ones Allister mimed. She gives a little "not bad" frown and nods.
"Thank you for your words, Eku. Let us rest here and think of our course as we do," Sthara says, motioning to the pre-existing campfires.

Here are my rolls for the day: 7 20
Made you look.
Day 4 and 5
As the party moves deeper into the jungle, the light rain of the third day disappears for the first half of the fourth day, leaving everything glistening in the patches of sunlight that pokes through the far away canopies of the jungle. Nearing time to set up camp for the night, the rain comes back and continues at a steady pace for all of the fifth day.

With no immediate threat presenting itself, Eku moves into the space and stops in front of a pile of large scat. Rubbing her chin, she looks around perplexed, and then back to the scat.
"Something has eaten quite a lot to produce that," says Sthara, observing Eku and the turd. "Is it fresh? Do we need to be cautious?"
She looks around the stomped vegetation (Perception: 15), hoping to see no movement from anything large enough to have left the droppings.
"What in the name of Milil dropped that lot?" The gnome is suitably impressed and disgusted at the same time. "I bet that brought a tear to its eyes!"
Perception check 15 or
Survival check 7 - whichever is more appropriate!
"We should be careful here, just in case whatever laid that is still around"
"If I may say, it is quite really the eye offending creature." Funderburk exclaimed. "Shall we leave it alone or... rid of its misery?" He said the last part with a sleight chuckle.
"I only mean it as a joke... unless." He said in clarification.

Allister is keeping an eye on Dunk to see if he reacts in any way upon seeing the turd. Animal Handling if needed 19
Eku nods in agreement with Sthara and turns to Boosey, "I...I do not know. I can't place it. This is unfamiliar to me. Certainly, there are larger creatures than whatever might have made this, but we should still be cautious."
If Dunk has any feelings about it, the creature doesn't show any as he is lead near the scat. Dunk proceeds to eat one of the crushed ferns.
“Hmmm, I’ve seen worse coming out of the galley on the Murderous Mermaid.“ Allister uses his rapier to poke at the turd
