"We are not going to town for reward? Ok. Flower loves to camp of course. She spends most times camping. Heading for Lance's Rock, correct? Flower is sure it is not a giant bird. But how amazing would that be if it was? Besides bad stone armor people, what else are we seeking at the Rock? More goblins? The deli guts? Pineapples? Flower is very excited to be adventuring with her new friends!"
Traveling to Lance Rock would be about an 18 mile journey that would take you through Red Larch on the way, do you want to stop there?
We might want to, at least to inform the townspeople of what we experienced at the tomb, let them know the goblins are no more, and warm them about the ghost. Jairus would suggest this to the party.
“Like I said, we had best stop by the town first, there might be a reward, but we also just need to let em know the goblins are done for, and warn em about the ghost,” Jairus says, though he is hopeful for a reward. “After we hit up the town we can press on to the rock.”
"I say we skip Red Larch and travel straight through. If I'm gonna stay at an in and get some reward money, I want a few days to enjoy it."
“Wouldn’t hurt time at least let the villagers know so they don’t go poking around that ghost anymore,” Jairus suggests. “Don’t have you make it a long stopover.”

(Are we agreed on stopping there just to let people know, then moving on?)
OOC: And claiming any reward, and I suppose if anyone cares to buy any supplies, yes - I don't believe we intend to stay overnight.
Jairus would stop at a general store while passing through to buy a Blanket, a Bedroll and a Crowbar, a waterskin and 5 days rations Sheet and gold adjuster accordingly. He goes to the contact who told him about the Goblin Tomb mission to report their success, as well as the warning about the ghost.
As they near town and Jairus has stated his intent to go to his contact to inform them of the goblins fate, Flower hands him the leathery objects she brought from the goblin camp.

"Friend Warrior, take these for proof."
Jairus is no stranger to skinning animals, so he has no squeamishness on accepting the trophies as proof. He returns to the contact who referred him to the mission, and lays them out, saying, "Job's done. Goblin's got kil't."
(this post was supposed to go along with the other votes)
Kethra agrees with the majority. "Back when I used to work as a gardener, I also made sure that my patron's house was free of from troublemakers. You know, drunks, trespassers, tenants with an axe to grind," she swings her new greataxe for emphasis, "Literally!"
"I didn't really mind it until I found out one of the errand boys was taking all the credit. Telling stories to our patron but putting himself in my place, then asking for money. The nerve! I beat him up and took the money, but my swordsmith master made me give it back. So I was thinking we should definitely pick up the reward before anyone else claims it. And that, you know, we should also warn the people that the wolves are getting restless."
Kethra would understand that this was Jairus' thing, but before he takes off she would also ask him where to find the little girl's family (and if he or anyone else wants to come along). She'd like to see if they're okay and also to warn them about the wolves prowling around.
If Kethra had inquired, Jairus would have remembered that the mission was given to him by his Zhentarim contact Lorren Mangobarl (OOC: as I recall), and he says, "The Mhandyvvers'es were the family whose little girl got scared out near the tomb, best let them know."
Jairus reports to Lorren to inform him of the same.

The Mhandyvvers thank you for dealing with the problem, and Mangobarl gives you 30 gp (5 each). Now, the trip to Lance Rock . . .

You reach Lance Rock in the early evening, the sun just barely starting to set. Nothing of import happened on the trip there, mostly just passing through a forest. Even just a mile out from Red larch you manage to see the landmark, a narrow 25 foot menhir of stone jutting out at around a 60 degree angle. It's gray in color, unlike the surrounding rock (which appears to mostly be limestone and such). Once you arrive, you see a brush-choked ravine a few hundred feet away from the base of the pillar. A trail leads into the bush, with a neatly painted sign at the beginning. You can just barely make out another sign and what appears to be the entrance of a cave at the end of the trail, although it's mostly covered by brush. From where you're standing you can just barely see what the sign says:

"Plague. That ain't good," Jairus says, assuming the sign was in Common. "Heard tell villages that got plague would get isolated without supplies, sometimes they'd even have to burn the whole thing down if a healer couldn't get a handle on it. You sure about this mission?" Jairus addresses the latter towards the entirety of the rest of the group. "I'm gettin' more confident in my crossbow shootin,' but that ain't no good 'gainst a plague."

Jairus (perhaps retroactively) would like to roll Survival to look and/or recall if the local wildlife on the way hear appeared unusual by his estimation, any indication of a plague that might have carried to both men and animals. 8
Beyond that there is little within his skill set to deal with the notion of a plague. He awaits the others' analysis.

"Reward for two goblins," Lasair replies skeptically. "I'll go with majority," the druid shrugs with a smile.
Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
"Flower can go either way. She did bring these."
She holds up some leathery objects tied together and hooked to her belt.
OOC: Cuz Flower is a badass!!

(( I think so (see above re: reward). An hour or less spent in town. ))

(That would probably be more of a Nature/Medicine check.)
You don't see anything unusual about the animals, although it's maybe a little quieter than you'd think.
