The two goblins closest to Velda are the ones tied up and unarmed … at least at the moment.
With the two captive goblins leading the way over the bridge you make your way down the passage to the ‘eating room’. Running your hands along the walls, you feel a slight trickle of water on the walls. Further down the passage, the sounds of the waterfall starts to recced as you begin to hear the chattering of goblins ahead of you.
Entering the chamber you see 5 goblins sitting around two small cooking fires. The air is hazy with the resulting smoke and the air is filled with the smell of poorly cured hides and the smell of unwashed goblins. To the south you see a 10-ft high escarpment and a set of stairs leading up to another portion of this room. The goblins in the room have their backs to the entrance and don’t seem to be aware of your entrance into the cave. What would you like to do?
Cadence stands in the busy hallway behind the others patiently waiting. She turns her head, as if listening for something..."where's that tune...." she mutters under her breath...

Seeing that they were blocking the only exit to this part of the cave, Velda happily unsheaths her sword and charges at the goblins, shouting on top of her lungs: "Leave yer weapons be, if you value your lives!" She would more than happily swing at anyone that refuses to comply.

Even if invisible, Gert could not fly, so, had to wait for his turn to ... well, he would prefer to thin a bit goblin's population in the region. But at the moment Velda was trying to find a peaceful solution. Not very successfully, by the looks of it.
Nova would rock up and down on the balls of her feet wondering what’s going on up ahead.

From my understanding of movement during combat, you are able to move past allies without penalty. But if you are trying to move through an enemies space it is considered difficult terrain and you are only able to move at half speed. That is to say, none of you are currently blocked by your allies. After a quick sidebar with Blue, and looking at the basic rules again. I'll say it's half movement speed for moving through any creatures space. and it's only possible with hostile creatures if they are 2 sizes larger or smaller.
The goblins are not in the least intimidated by Velda’s words of warning and reflexively reach for their weapons. Seeing this, Velda strikes at the closest one leaving a nasty gash across its chest as it clutches it briefly before thudding down to the cave floor. The remaining four, stand ready to defend themselves.
As tempting as it was, Gert did not plan to jump in front of Velda getting between her and the goblins. He simply shot the first bugger, that he could see:
At Nova’s warning to hold ‘hold you noises’ there’s a sudden burst of flames about 20 ft due west of Gert followed by the screams of the goblin slowly burning to death. The smell of burnt goblin quickly adds to the pungent medley of odors currently circulating in the room. Then, before one of it’s fellows could so much as blink and turn to see what’s happened, the goblin due west of Gert, has a bolt suddenly appear between its eyes, as he to falls with a thud to the cave floor.
Hearing the screams of one of his underlings burning to death, Yeemik pokes his head out from around a stalagmite on the upper area to the south of the room. “What’s the big idea …” He begins to say as he sees the carnage taking place below him. He draws his bow and takes aim at Nova hoping to do some damage to these attackers. Though in his haste to get back into cover, his arrow flies wide of his intended target and clatters harmlessly against the cave wall. And Yeemik disappears from view of the party.
Still sitting astride Borris at the rear of the party, Hugz looks on the slaughter of his ‘former’ companions with an odd sense of amusement saying barely loud enough to be heard over the din of battle “Never much liked them two anyways, always madess fun of Hugz they did.”
I’m assuming that you two are maintaining your positions from earlier. If you would have moved please let me know.

As you look for the goblin that just shot at Nova you are unable to locate him in the cave. He seems to have vanished in much the same manner that Gert is able to. (at least sometimes) Taking aim at the closest goblin your aim is obstructed by Nova and Gert standing ahead of you resulting in your shot missing its target. A bit less unprepared now the goblin sees you muttering something and nimbly leaps out of the way of the radiant light the emanates quickly towards him from you.
One of the goblins seeing two of his fellows within reach, runs forward and cuts, one of them free with his sword. Then hands the sword to his recently freed brethren who then does the same to the second goblin who is tied up. And also gives him the sword. The goblin standing next to Velda (who was just recently cut loose and armed) takes a swing at the lumbering half-orc. But the ropes restraining it were a bit too tight and it can’t quite grasp its sword properly as the swing comes up just short of connecting with Velda.
The goblin that started the chain of freeing its mates quickly makes his way up the stone steps and attempts to break line of sight. He’s only partially successful as Cadence didn’t notice where he disappeared to. The first goblin that was freed follows up the stairs nimbly ducking out of the way of any swings from Velda (Nimble escape). The last one also runs up the stairs nimbly avoiding any retaliatory strikes from Velda. Saying as it reaches the top of the stairs “We have the high ground now, pinkskinss.”
The goblin remaining on the lower part of this room seeing its mates making a hasty retreat fires an arrow towards Gert as the body of his recently deceased friend falls in front of him. Though in his haste to catch up with the others quickly running from the battle, doesn’t take enough time to aim and the arrow connects with the cave wall on Gerts right. Reaching the top of the stairs it turns around and readies itself for a counter offensive.

"You just spelled doom for you and yours, looks like!" WIth that, she charges up the stairs, slashing at the goblin with the bow to deny these little buggers the range advantage. As she's doing so, she adds pithily: "Guess what good your high ground's doin' ya now!"
