Areus says to Nyklos and Soren "I doubt that we will find anything useful here, we are better off to comb the streets near the central area of the polis for some clues."
As you step outside you find that is quite late and the streets are nearly empty. You head back towards the Agora and the taverna/inn where you first met. Any civic buildings you pass have been closed for some time. You pass through the Agora towards The Winged Harpy .
Looking around the room you seen that the drunk sailors from earlier today are gone. The crowd is certainly better than what you found down that the wharf.
You can see a couple groups of soldiers, what looks to be local merchants, civic employees and others like them.
Areus walks near the satyr and says "So what is the plan? Will you try the same approach as in the other tavern? Maybe some of the merchants or those civic employees may know something."
Tisto makes a bee line for one of the civil servants. He claps him on the shoulder saying "I've been working on a poem. What do you think of the following? There once was a servant of the people Whose great joy was to make their life simple To this end he worked tirelessly For which the people were lucky However the evening was his time to be social.
In honour of the work you do for the people of this great city can I buy you a cup of wine or mead, whichever is your preference?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Areus keeping an eye on the satyr walks towards the bar and orders an ale. He will just sip it as he tries to listen to the conversation of the soldiers.
Areus can tell that the soldiers are talking about what soldiers normally talk about; the ineptitude of commanding officers, their current duty stations and the like.
The men that Tisto had approached are more than happy to have the satyr buy them a round and invite him to join him at the table. He is quickly peppered with questions of if he is a bard and will he be performing this night it elsewhere.

"A bard No - but I do tell a good story and have a wide repertoire of jokes"Tisto responds. "As to performing tonight that will depend on whether I can satisfy the needs of my companions. Apparently a sage by the name of Basarios of Deyda Harbour had a bet with a colleague whether Melitis is as old as it claims. To cut a long story short, this Basarios asked my companions to come here to get proof as to the age of the city. We got talking as I’m known to be interested in history and know this city fairly well. Anyway I thought if we’re going to find proof of the city why not start with civil servants as they might be able to help me out with finding such proof - yes?"
(OOC - I'm assuming that Tisto cannot claim the title 'Bard' until he is inducted into one of the Colleges (Lvl 3).
"Yes, the city is old, very old." One woman at the table says, "Thousands of years old. It has survived earthquakes, wars and the like. At times parts of the city have had to be rebuilt over the ruins. The last earthquake was over 500 years ago now."

"Aye you can get us all a round. We'll be here if you need us friend!" Spyro says cheerfully as he and the two brothers accept the offered drinks.

You pass through the Agora and enter theThe Winged Harpy. The room has filled with more people even though it is late at night.
As Areus enters the tavern, the hoplite scans the crowd to assess eventual threats and patrons that may stand out from others. (Perception18)
"Let's hope to find some leads here. If we do not gather anything useful here, we should maybe try to change our approach to the matter."

Tisto quickly scans the room. Does he recognise anybody?

"That's what I'm thinking!" Tisto replies continuing to scan the patrons "I'm just trying to see if I recognise anybody?" he finishes with,
