As you all begin to build(?) the ice structure, you can hear the same voice again. The structure of the ice caves make it sound like it's coming from everywhere, echoing. It's slightly haunting.
"Many years it has been since I have fed. Yes. Good." it laughs like a hyena would. "Warm, succulent. I can taste it already."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.

H5 - Sparkling icicles as long as longswords cling to the forty-foot-high roof of this cavern, the floor of which is strewn with frost-covered blocks of stone and a toppled pillar. Embedded in the east wall is a glittering stone tower that appears to have crashed through the ceiling long ago. The exposed wall is cracked and has a few small holes in it but is otherwise intact.
"Oh, my!"Professor Skant says. "Our arrival seems to have released Tekeli-li, the gnoll vampire of legend. The legends say that Tekeli-li was a fang of Yeenoghu, a powerful gnoll whose pack invaded Icewind Dale more than a century ago. When the gnolls’ wanton slaughter of reindeer herds threatened the survival of the Reghed tribes, the tribes banded together against the gnolls and routed them in 1333 DR. Tekeli-li and his surviving kin fled across the tundra with the Reghed tribes in pursuit. The wounded gnolls found an icy cleft on the edge of the Reghed Glacier and hid there for the winter. To keep their leader alive, the other gnolls allowed Tekeli-li to eat them one by one, yet his hunger would not abate. Auril came upon the starving, half-frozen creature and flung Tekeli-li into an icy tomb deep within the glacier. In doing so, the Frostmaiden sought to preserve what the gnoll had become—the embodiment of winter’s remorseless consumption.Tekeli-li exists today as a gnoll vampire that hasn’t fed in decades. We are in great danger!"
As the professor is telling the story, and gets to the 'hasn't fed in decades' part, the group is listening with quiet, rapt attention when all of a sudden Shrek's stomach growls audibly. The amusing timing by Shrek causes everyone to chuckle, breaking the growing tension in the cave.
Confused as always, he quietly announces "What so funny?! Shrek hungry too!"
Kaz smirks at the massive barbarian, "Don't worry, Shrek. We aren't laughing at you, I know you are ALWAYS hungry too, without becoming a vampire." The elf nods back to their academic associate, "So Tekeli-li is a vampire and a gnoll, yes?" the druid looks to their companions, "What do we know about the weaknesses of vampires? He definitely didn't like the daylight I threw at him, that's for sure."

Lucas ponders for a moment before pulling out a few silver coins from his bag. Holding them in his hand, he looked over to Kai and asked, "Don't suppose you'd have any way to heat these up? Just enough to make them malleable."
If it was possible, Lucas would want to use his silver coins to make a few silver arrowheads. They'd only be silver-coated, but it was better than nothing. Though with the temperature being what it was, even that hope was small.
“Lucas, my hair is made of fire. What do you think?”Kai deadpans, straight faced. Though, not just a few seconds later he bursts into a fit of laughter. “Yeah, man, I can. Are vampires weak to silver though? Iunno shit about ‘em.”

Lucas stares at Percy for a long few seconds before putting his coins away and pulling up his scarf mask more to hide the mild embarrassment from his lack of knowledge on such matters. "...well maybe they could have been...." He mummers the last bit of retort to himself as he gives up on the silver coated arrows idea.
"Stakes, daylight, running water, thresholds," Vetis offers from the back. "Finding his resting place would be preferable."
And how do you know all that?
Talking to me again, huh? I do occasionally listen to your long-winded complaints about various and sundry creatures. I think vampires was about four years ago.
Sobek glowers at Professor Skant. 'You might have mentioned this vampire before we entered its lair. What other surprises await us that you will only reveal afterwards...?'
"It's a vampire. Simply wait for the creature to attack us, beat it into submission and then follow it once it retreats. There you'll find the coffin."
