Vellynne is able to summon the whale once more, where you are able to short rest in it's mouth and regain a number of HP as your CON mod. (Unless you have resistance or immunity to cold, then you SR normall per RAW.)
I5 -Dotting the eastern slope of the ice mountain atop which Grimskalle sits are seven shallow caves, each one occupied by what appears to be a group of yeti. They are currently eating and haven't noticed you yet. They appear hungry and voracious.
You backtrack all the way back from the yeti caves to area I3.
Half-buried in snow near the edge of a bluff is a humanoid corpse clad in cold weather clothing. Clutched in one of its hands is an orb made of smoky-gray quartz. A white weasel bursts from the snow near the corpse and stares at you with its beady eyes. A voice rings out. “Ye gods, I was afraid no one would find us!”The sound isn’t coming from the weasel, but from the orb.
"Well, well, well.."Vellynne says, hands on her hips. "Looks like someone died from frostbite. What a terrible fate. That's what you get for stealing my orb! And, hello Zelennor."
"Wait....Zelennor is the...Orb?" Lucas is visibly confused and curious, he steps forward to cocks his head towards Vellynne, giving his a raised eyebrow in question.
Sobek invokes his Speak with Animals ability (by ritual), and speaks with Zellenor ‘Your master has passed on now, little sister, but you can come with me if you wish. What happened, if it’s not too hard to share...?’
"Master was looking for Codicil. Said believes is in Grimskalle. Wanted to also open way to lost city at Reghed Glacier. Grew way too cold. Unnatural. Froze to death. Should be dead when Master dies, not sure why still here. Left alone in snow. Very sad. Feel lonely now, without purpose." says the Weasel to Sobek.
"This is my orb. Everyone, meet Professor Skant. Say hello, Professor."Vellynne said, happy to have found her property.
"Hello.."Professor Skant drawls, uninterested. "Can we go now? I've been here for days!"he whines. Vellynne picks up her orb. "Yes, we can. We can head to Grimskalle now, if you'd all like."
Seeing how friendly the weasel is as it interacts with Sobek, Shrek gently scratches it behind the ears. Glad to have found a new friend, he talks nonstop to it as they hike towards Grimskalle, not really knowing or understanding that it probably doesn’t understand a word he’s saying.
In the center of the Island of Soltice, rising before you is a six-hundred-foot-tall mountain of glacial ice, its peak carved to resemble a gigantic skull wearing a crown. Weaving up the mountain’s southern slope are enormous stairs hewn from the ice. These steps, which extend from the base of the mountain to the base of the fortress, were clearly made for giants.
"Grimskalle was constructed for a frost giant queen named Vassavicken and is filled with the remnants of her reign, including her corpse. Auril has claimed the stronghold to serve her own worldly needs." Professor Skant explains.
G1 - ENTRANCE
The steps end in front of a double door made from slabs of ice with dragon skulls and bones embedded in them. Carved into the lintel is a single word in the Dwarvish script.
As you approach, ice grinds upon stone as one of the doors slowly opens.
"OH, ERTGARD. WE HAVE GUESTS. MAKE THEM FEEL..WELCOME."a voice chuckles.
You hear nothing approach. Yet. Beyond is a number of rooms. It's freezing in here, and you can feel your life force slipping away.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sobek looks his companions for a moment, then sighs. ‘I have a bad feeling about this. I’ll lead the way in my wolf form, I may detect the scent of danger...’
He quickly transforms into a Dire Wolf, and steps up to the doorway, sniffing carefully (and listening)...
"Yes. Let's get back to that whale so that we can rest without freezing to death, then explore further." Percival says in response to Kai.

"No." Vellynne said. "Zelennor is her weasel familiar." she says, pointing to it. "The voice you just heard is coming from my orb. Hello professor."
Zelennor takes a step closer, obviously distraught at the death of her master.
"Took you long enough." the orb sighs.
Kaz looks down at the orb, “What...is this?”

Shrek jumps up and down, giggling at the cute weasel. “Shrek want pet!” he excitedly announces to anyone who may be listening, which is likely no one.

Sobek holds out his hand to the weasel, to give her the option to climb aboard if she doesn’t want to be left alone.
He then nods to both the Professor and Vellynne ‘Yes. The cold is killing us, we need to leave this place as soon as we can..’

‘Do you have practical advice for how we should proceed, Professor?’ Sobek asks...
"With great caution. We are in the home of the Frostmaiden." Skant offers. "So, try not to die. We need to Codicil."
