Rogram nods at the females. "Give the word, and we'll charge just as you are casting your spell. The rest of us won't be as fast Yevele, but our blades will make short work of them before long."
Rogram is ready to go. He will move 25 feet and ready an action to attack any kobold that comes within melee range.
Thrax nods as their quick plan starts to take form. He watches his target intently as his party moves into position, watching the torches and waiting for the right moment.
Thrax will ready an action to cast Sacred Flame on the woman that Yevele has targeted as soon as the sleep spell is completed. He will then move towards the combat ready to engage.
After a few moments pass, one of the raiders points out the different corners of the back and side of the barn, and they walk toward the structure, cautiously moving the torches toward the walls.
For Rogram, Smoke, Thia, and Yevele:
These raiders are quite clearly putting on a demonstration of starting a fire. Based on the time it's taken, and the meager fires they have set so far that could easily be stamped out, this looks all for show.
After watching the raiders go through the motions of lighting a fire, Yevele realizes that their objective is not to burn the building down. Turning and whispering to Thrax, the monk says "They don't intend to burn the mill down. They want to draw the troops out of the keep and then attack the keep again. I need to warn the governor." With that, Yevele gets up and crosses the creek before breaking into a full run to get back to the keep as quickly as possible.
Seeing the raiders not really try and burn the building puzzles Smoke.
He looks to the others who are not near him at the time for answers and sees Yevele running back to the keep.
A trap, perhaps. he thinks to himself. Smoke narrows his eyes trying to get a good look at the raiders. If there is cover he might try to move a bit closer but if he thinks he is spotted he will make his way back to the others as fast as he can.
Smoke will try to see or even hear if these raiders are indeed luring guards out. But Smoke is no stranger to deception himself. He still entertains the idea of the raiders actually being citizens dressed up as raiders. Perhaps this is how they protect the mill so other raiders see the building is already being taken care of. Yes, thats how i could protect the mill. Deceiving the real raiders and making them move on. He has to try and determine the truth of this regardless of how small the chance is.
Rogram narrows his eyes as he watches the confusing maneuvers, but widens them as Yevele leaves to return to the keep as quickly as possible. He looks back at the raiders. "I'm going to find out what's going on." (If he needs to, he'll move further away to do this secretly.) He performs the verbal and somatic components of disguise self, changing his appearance to match one member of the last group of humans who came through the break in the sally port. That done, he leaves cover and moves to the road to approach the mill.
Thia pauses, caught with uncertainty. Expecting everyone to rush back after Yevele she sees that others are not going to do so. So she pauses, caught between moving back or moving on. Instead she just stops in her tracks.
Typical. This is sums up my life completely. A half-breed. Stuck half way between one world and the next. Unsure which way to go, forward or back, and ending up going nowhere.
Hunkering down for now she remains in place waiting to see what happens in each direction.
Thrax freezes in place as he sees Rogram approach the guards before he can do anything to stop him. He turns dumbfounded to Thia as the two watch with silent wide eyed suspense as their companion makes his approach.

As Yevele departs, Rogram's approach to the mill brings a shout from the unarmored woman. "Hold!" she calls out from about ten feet away. One of the men behind her suggests, "It's alright, he's with us," but is silenced by a glare from the woman. "No. You heard Mondath, we don't know what they are capable of. Be on guard means be on guard, and I don't mean to end up like the others that crossed their path," she says, looking intently at the disguised Rogram.
"Who are you? Why are you here? This is not your--" she begins to ask, her attention suddenly drawn toward the brush at the stream. "Stay here," she tells Rogram, pointing the others toward the brush that Smoke has disturbed. "Check the stream," she commands them.
Noticing the guards heard a noise Smoke will try and stay quiet and if they are not looking in his direction sneak back away a bit more. Mumbling to himself Perhaps you want to look over there.Looking and motioning towards another brush away from himself.
Small gusts of wind will blow into the brush creating some sounds to hopefully attract the guards, away from Smoke.
If it works Smoke sneaks back slowly to get out of sight. Should they get to close to him he will mumble again motioning towards their torch Let the dark remain hidden.
Their torch will be snuffed out in what seemed to be another gust of wind.
Action: Using Prestidigitation to first create wind in a brush away from him to divert the guards to look elsewhere. If they get to close to snuff out the torch to help himself remain hidden. Movement: if the guards are not looking his way he will slowly try to move a bit back to more cover or further away from them.
Already on edge, the sight of a second rustling bush kicks the approaching raider into action. "There are two!" he shouts as he drops his torch, reaching for his spear, and his companions rush to assist, reaching for their weapons as well.
Round 1 Order: Players <===== Raiders
Placement: The area is dimly lit by moonlight and distant burning buildings. Three raiders are wearing chain shirts, and wielding spears and shields. One raider is unarmored. Rogram is disguised, standing next to two armed raiders and the unarmed raider. Smoke is in the brush at the edge of the stream with one raider approaching, 40 feet away from Rogram and the other enemies. Thia and Thrax are in the stream, 10 feet away from Smoke and 50 feet away from Rogram. Yevele is in the stream, 50 feet away from Smoke and 90 feet away from Rogram.
OOC: Note, this first round of combat is taking place before Smoke has been able to prestidigitate the torches out. The approaching raider has dropped his torch.
OOC: DM, I clicked another spell slot on my character sheet so we don't forget.
Rogram goes for the woman! He reaches back, his muscle memory finding the sword, which is invisible due to his disguise spell. He grips the handle with both hands and swings horizontally with all his might at the supposed leader. "Die, scum!"
Thank you for marking the spell. I need to start double checking the sheets to make sure the changes get saved, they're so finicky with spells and features.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Thia is going to return to her original plan and try and drop as many of these raiders as she can with her remaining Sleep spell. She'll cast it so that Rogram is not in the area of effect, if possible. She'll follow up shouting, "We're coming Rogram! Stay sharp!"
Action: Sleep spell 22 hit points worth of sleeping. Move: Rush forward 30' towards the raiders, drawing her rapier as she does Bonus: Give Rogram Bardic Inspiration! (her first use)

Seeing Rogram going for the attack in the distance Smoke gathers his courage, knowing he should help.
He silently draws his rapier and tries to sneak forward a bit hoping Rograms battlecries distract them somewhat. Smoke then leap towards the raider near him wildly slashing his rapier in front of him.
Movement: to the single raider checking out the brush Action: Rapier Attack: 16 Damage: 8 (in case this is still surprised because he has not seen me yet another attackroll: 22)
Seeing the party spring into action, Thrax will cast Sacred Flame on the woman which Rogram attacked (assuming she is still standing after that fierce blow, if not he will cast on the nearest raider who is still on their feet).

Hearing the sounds of battle, Yevele pauses in her race to the keep. Looking back, if she can see at least two of the raiders drop, the monk will continue running to the keep. If she can't see what is going on, or if her companions fail to drop any of the enemy, the young woman will turn and run back toward the group, using all of her turn to run and moving 80 feet back toward the battle.

The sound of steel being released from its sheath has no visual, but in the blink of an eye, the disguised Rogram has separated the head of the unarmored raider from her shoulders with his invisible blade. Before the two companions at her side can react to this traitor in their midst they are deep within a slumber; they collapse to the ground, the victims to Thia's magic. Smoke lunges from the brush, the tip of his rapier beating the approaching raider's shield and piercing through his stomach. The raider desperately backs away, taking Thrax's divine light in the process, and frantically stabs at Smoke, coming nowhere close to the bard.
Seeing her companions handling the situation, Yevele continues her return to the keep.
