Rogram lets a groan rumble his chest before he opens his eyes. Having slept on his stomach — not moving from the moment he lost consciousness — the half-dwarf is quite stiff and sore. He slowly pushes himself up onto his knees and rubs the side of his face that was smashed against the ground for eight hours, brushing off dirt and small rocks imbedded in his cheek and temple. He squints at the harsh sunlight, letting his ears give him his first clue as to the state of his town and her people. When he hears what sounds like normal activity and not the sound of conflict, he gets to his feet and looks around, rubbing one eye and then the other. After spotting the open gates, he furrows his brow. He grabs the first person he sees and asks after the state of the confrontation. When he is told that all is well, he can't believe it at first. It's over? Did they really leave? "Where is Escobert?" he asks. "Or the governor?"
Thia only comes to when the sun finally breasts the parapet and streams right down into her eyes. Squinting and blinking in the harsh light she slowly gets to her feet and curls two errant strands of long, blonde hair over and behind her ears, revealing their upturned ends. Yawning she heads off in search of a water trough where she slakes her thirst. She then reaches into her backpack and pulls out a red apple. Shining it distractedly on her trouser leg, she wanders around looking for the group.
She slowly makes her way up onto the parapet and looks out over the town. All seems peaceful at least. Stretching side to side she is pleased to note no serious injuries arising from the trauma of the previous night. I wonder what is next? Where is everyone?
She heads back down into the courtyard and heads to where she spots Rogram, asking for the governor and she moves up behind him. Finally crunching down on her shiny, red apple and stands quietly in the background, where she prefers to dwell.
The nearest guard directs you up the parapet to the governor's makeshift war room. "Ah, the governor'll want to see you folks. He and Escobert the Red have been in the tower since the morning. Don't think they slept a wink."
The war room in the hallway halfway up the parapet has grown even more clutter. Escobert's muffled conversation can be heard from the bottom of the stairwell, and he is in animated discussion with the governor when you enter. Governor Tarbaw Nighthill still wears the bandages of the previous day, his hair in a tangle from sweat and dried blood. His head is resting in his palm, slumped over the crumpled map of the town on the table, but he seems to brighten when the two of you enter.
"I hope you had a long and well-earned sleep, my friends. As you can see, the raiders have not returned. Their departure raises more questions than answers, but though we do not know what brought them here, we at least know their intent was not to linger. I am hesitant to believe we are out of the woods yet, but I can't help but feel fortunate that they are gone," he begins.

Thrax has fared well under the ministrations of Maria. The spear wounds delivered by the half-dragon will scar, and the wounds will pester the cleric for some time to come, but the damage was kept to a minimum with a team of dedicated healers on the scene so quickly.
The infirmary is still half full, with many wounded still at rest, but the lizardfolk is quite easy to pick out of the crowd. He awakes from his slumber very late in the afternoon to a familiar face as Smoke is lingering about.
OOC: Thrax has gained the benefits of a long rest. Feel free to take this opportunity to switch up your prepared spells if you would like.

YEVELE:
Your search takes the better part of the afternoon, and the sun is low in the sky after the southern bank of the stream has been fully examined. You do not see any sign of the previous night's enemy, and townsfolk have meandered safely back to the area near the end of your search. The populace of Greenest looks to be almost entirely human. You spot a half-elf or halfling on a couple of occasions, but see no dwarves through the afternoon. Neither do you see any sign of Leosin; despite his request, he does not seem to have made his presence known.
Thia stands quietly, as is her want. She listens to what the governor has to say. When he finishes, she deigns to ask a simple question. "Excuse me, but do either of you know of a half-elf called Talis?"
These raiders just have to be the same cultists that ambushed me and Alandriel back in the Misty Forest. That makes their scope wide indeed. What are they after I wonder? And, more importantly, do they have Talis?
Thia chews absently on her apple, seeming a bit nervous.
Rogram had completely forgotten about Thia's friend. He had been so wrapped up in his own struggle to save Greenest that he'd completely disregarded the reasons why the others had even been traveling this way. He owed them a debt now, and if the threat has actually moved on, it's time to work on repaying it. He looks at the governor and the red haired dwarf to see if they have an answer for the apple-loving half-elf.
Following their response to Thia, Rogram says to the two males, "I'm still anxious to find my family, so if I promise to be back at your first request, may I leave the keep to search for my father, uncle and aunt?"
Downtime list:
Rogram will promise Thia before leaving that he will help her search for her friend. At his next meeting with Yevele, he will assure her he will help her find her friend. Before leaving the keep, he will stop in to check on Thrax. If the lizardfolk is awake, he will praise his bravery and promise to pay back the debt he now owes the cleric for facing the half-dragon in his stead. At his next meeting with Smoke, Rogram will promise the tabaxi to help him find the ones who murdered his friend.
Priority #1: Rogram will head first to his and his father's house and forge to look again for his father and signs of where he might be if he isn't there. If there are any clues, he'll follow them to try to find his father first. If there are no clues or if the clues dry up, he'll then go to his uncle and aunt's house to look for them or clues to their whereabouts. He'll do whatever he can (ask around, visit those he knows work at the mill with his uncle to ask them questions, question neighbors — and check on their welfare at the same time, etc.) to find his family.
He will visit his mother's grave to make sure it hasn't been defaced. He will clean up his home and forge. He will offer his home as a place where the others can stay while they are in Greenest if they like. Otherwise, he will help them find a place(s) to stay.
Priority #2: I'll let you decide if there are demands of the forge. Whether his father is found or not, if there are customers who need work done (especially if it's related to the recent attack), Rogram will feel compelled to work on the jobs.
Priority #3: If there are ways that Rogram can help any of the other party members with their own tasks, he will do what he can to help them.
Two days, Rogram will work on forging a shield for himself if he can find the time, but his own wants will come after all of the other stuff. This can wait or even not get done. Since he isn't proficient, there are pros and cons to him using a shield.
At some point, probably a couple of days in, he'll check in with Escobert to find out how things are going and to reassure the governor that he is ready to do his part, whatever it might be.
After making sure Thrax will be alright Smoke will make sure to check on the kobold prisoner. Doubting he knows more but to try and location on a map from where the kobold and the raiders came.
Smoke will also try and talk with the locals to get an idea of how things got started and if this large attack was a followup of other attacks.
Yevele will return to the keep and check back in with the other members of the group and the governor to see if she they need her help. The monk will tell the other members of the group that she is willing to help them look for their missing friends and family.
She will spend time every day in meditation and practicing her martial arts.
At some point, she will sneak away from the rest of the group and return to the mill with her caligraphy kit. On the side of the mill, Yevele will write, in fancy lettering:
Thrax awakens and inspects his wound, feeling considerably better he rises slowly to gather his things. He pauses as he looks upon the new dings and scratches upon his shield. He lays his hands upon it and prays, infusing it with the Blessings of the Forge.
When he looks up he sees and greets his friend Smoke. “Gond’s blessing on this glorious day!” He says as he clasps the Tabaxi’s hand. “Let us leave the beds of the infirmary to those most in need of healing ssservices. Let us go and see how Greenest fares after yesterday’s attack.” He gathers his things and sets out with Smoke to walk through town.
They come across the mill still standing and warmly greet Yevele, and take a moment to admire the small tribute to their defense of the mill.
He then seeks out Rogram, and seeing his dwarves friend manning the forge, he will offer up his services as a blacksmith to aid Rogram in his efforts to patch up any of the damage done to the town. He is elated to feel the heat of a forge again and to be of service to his friends and the people here. He hears Rogram speak of crafting a shield for himself, but if the dwarf is too busy to embark upon this project, Thrax will offer to create one for him by calling upon Gond’s Artisan's Blessing (channel divinity ability).
He returns to the keep and looks for Thia hoping she has good news after she met with the governor and Escobert.

The remainder of the day after the attack is starkly peaceful by contrast. Smoke and Rogram learn little new information about the attack. The home of Rogram and his father has been upturned, but remains intact. Most anything valuable has been taken, but strangely all of the personal items within the house remain largely untouched, as has the forge, though a few commissioned weapons that had been silvered by the blacksmith are missing. It is difficult to tell how long it has been since any of Rogram's family were in the home, but there are no visible signs of a struggle aside from the busted front door; from the looks of things, the raiders were able to pick their way through the home at their leisure.
Smoke hears of similar stories throughout the town - the raiders arrived before sundown and picked their way through homes from the outside in, removing any and all valuables, leaving mundane items behind and trying to light the homes on fire, though they succeeded in burning down only a few smaller homes. There were dozens of murders against those who attempted to defend their homes, but most of the townsfolk understood that fleeing to the safety of the keep was the safest action.
The kobold prisoner has nothing new to say, only babbling that the "dragon lady" that led the attack by the Cult of the Dragon would come to protect him and reaffirming that it was under instruction to loot.
Neither the governor nor the castellan have heard of the name "Talis", but relay that the most prominent half-elf in Greenest is Eadyan Falconmoon, the priest of Chauntea. Governor Nighthill brings Thia together with Thrax and Yevele when they return to the keep in the evening. "Can you gather Rogram and your tabaxi companion quickly? Or if not, would they deign for you to speak for them? I would like to propose to you all something that I believe you will be particularly well-suited for," he asks.
OOC: Holding on the downtime activities that take longer than the first day for the moment.
Yevele will offer to go and track down Rogram and Smoke, saying "I'm not sure if we are comfortable at this point in speaking out for them, but, I think I can find them fairly quickly."
Thia will ask if there is anywhere nearby in the keep that she can get a few apples. She's running low. She's not wanting to go far as she appreciates the governor is trying to collect us together, but whilst Yevele is off looking for the others, she figures she has a few moments.
Thrax will join Yevele to seek out Rogram and Smoke. He is still shaken by the sudden violence that had engulfed them all. It was exhilarating to fight the Cult of the Dragon, but it was sobering now seeing the aftermath of the violent mob. He followed behind his companion a few fleeting, helping to guide their way as best he can.

OOC: You all have the freedom here to determine how Rogram and Smoke are tracked down and when you return to the keep to speak with the governor. Greenest is small, so finding them will be simple enough within a couple hours.
Smoke can be found still speaking with the locals, chatting a bit and still trying to find out about the area and where the base of raiders could be located.
If possible he will try to find a map or get directions if anyone knows rumors on where they came from.
Once he sees Yevele and Thrax he will say his goodbyes to the locals and follow them to the governor.
Yevele will ask Thrax if he knows where Rogram's house is located. If the lizardman knows where the dwarf's house is, they will head straight there, keeping an eye out for Smoke on the way there.
If Thrax doesn't know where Rogram lives, Yevele will head west and begin searching the portion of village west of the keep and north of the river. If the monk sees any villagers, she will ask them if they know where Rogram, the dwarf lives and if they have seen Smoke, the tabaxi. When someone tells her where Rogram lives, Yevele will head straight there, keeping an eye out for Smoke on the way there.
Almost ready to start searching Greenest for his new friends to offer them space in his own home to rest, Rogram is still feeling downtrodden this evening. Despite asking around, he still has no idea where his father, uncle and aunt are. The few neighbors he was able to question had little to say other than to wax on about their own experience during the attack. While he was glad to see them mostly unscathed, he found their self-centeredness wholly unhelpful and quite frustrating. He did take a break from his inquisition a little after noon to visit his mother's grave and was relieved to find it unmolested. The afternoon had been spent straightening up and taking inventory in both home and forge.
Thrax will lead the group to Rograms family workshop and blacksmith. He walked purposefully now through the streets of Greenest, determined to find his friend and receive their full update from Nighthill. Thrax did his best to recall the location from his outing earlier that day, which had him assisting Rogram with the repairs using his divine magic.
