An outer wall with heavy crossbows mounted to its battlements encloses a keep sheltered by a steep roof to shed snow. Surrounding the keep are dozens of narrow stone houses with heavy shutters and steep roofs of their own. The Falling Orc inn and tavern, a wood-frame structure built on the remains of an older stone building that caught fire and burned down, stands near the main gates next to the stables. It doesn’t take you long to secure lodging and order some warm food. The hulking yet friendly half-ogre who owns the inn, Arzastra, is seen behind the bar bellowing orders to the staff like a conductor to an orchestra. One of the most over worked is the newest employee, Larg a young shield dwarf who seems down on his luck.
