If it needs to hear you for the spell to have an effect, it will not have advantage. I guess it'll boil down to the actual spell effect to determine the advantage scenario.
Trill calls out in Mistress Ilvara's voice, "Your god has abandoned you. It holds no sway down here.", casting vicious mockery on the creature (DC 13 WIS or 4 psychic damage and disadvantage on its next attack.

Wisdom Saving Throw: 12
Perception Check to notice Aimon: 3
After Zach goes, I'll RP what happens.
After hearing the sounds of combat, Eldeth, Sarith, and Jimjar jump to their feet and begin rushing over to assist. They will Dash to get near the group, but can't do anything else. As they approach, Sarith shouts out, "What is happening!?" Topsy stays where she is and cowers. Stool, who was being carried over by Caelynn, squirms away and hides behind a nearby boulder.
To keep everything moving along, everyone needs to make a Perception Check with disadvantage for what will happen on the demon's turn.
"Giant demon thing, I don't know!" Caelynn yells back, fumbling to reload her crossbow. She isn't fully hidden behind the crystals, but she hopes they will provide her some form of cover.
((I have a few questions, how far away is it, how far up is the ceiling/walls, and will the fact that I have devil's sight still cause me to roll perception with disadvantage, asking in case it has something to do with magical darkness?))
If in range or able to move in range, Zack places a Hex upon the creature (90ft), then places his hands together and spreads them apart forming a heavy crossbow out of a dark deep purple ichor that is attached to his hands.

(From the mouth of the tunnel, the demon is about 60 feet away towards the left wall and about 30 feet of the ground. Devil's Sight says it allows you to see normally in any kind of darkness. If you can see perfectly through darkness, you won't have to roll with disadvantage.)
As it makes itself known, it is bombarded with attacks. Caelynn's quick reflexes allow her to off a quick shot. The shot arcs through the air and strikes the creature. Using Caelynn's attack as a distraction, Aimon fires a bolt, but the creature notices it and fluidly moves out of the way. At Trill's words, it says amused, "I have no god." It's voice is a harsh whisper that is abnormally loud. It begins to chuckle as it melds with the darkness around it, taking the Hide action as a bonus action. Stealth: 13. It will fly silently through air and wrap around the crystal structure. Caelynn, you watch as it merges with the shadows and dissapears. It's laughter echoes through the chamber, and the laughter seems to be coming from all around the room. Suddenly, it emerges from the ground, opens its toothy maw, and chomps down upon your thigh. Attack: 24 Damage: 17 points of psychic damage. Burning pain fills your body as its maw sinks into your body. It pulls away and cold numbness replaces the pain. After its attack, purple ichor suddenly forms out of the air and wraps around its body. The strands almost seem to pulsate with unnatural life.
Edit: I just remembered that Hunter's Mark lets you always know the location of the creature. If you always know exactly where it is, it won't have advantage for being hidden. The new attack is Attack: 6 Damage: 9 points of psychic damage. Just ignore the first attack.
As Aimon rises from behind a crystal to take another shot at the demon now that it has revealed itself, the dark shadowy nature of their foe makes him consider their surroundings.
"We need light. Lots of light."
Then he aims and fires into the center of the mass. Feeling a bit cowardly doing so, but knowing that keeping on the move is the only way he will survive this encounter, he rolls to hide behind another crystal.
(Sneak Attack: Attack: 19 Damage: 10 (with the demons resistance this would be 5 damage) and then another hide attempt - Stealth 26 - Nat 20 on that roll)

Caelynn senses the creature coming out of the darkness towards her and manages to roll out of the way just in time. She sets herself up on one knee and takes another shot at it. As the bolt streaks through the air, a strange purple aura surrounds it.

Attack: 24 Damage: 5 nonmagical piercing damaged, halved is 2
Hunter's mark: 1 magical piercing damage
Dreadful strikes: 5 psychic damage
The Dreadful Strikes feature of you class allows you to use a bonus action to make your damage magical. They take extra psychic damage in addition. If you at using Dreadful Strikes, your attacks are considered magical while you are attacking. The shadow demon takes full damage from magical attacks. Sorry if I confused you all a little bit.

As Caelynn dodges out of the demon's grasp, you take advantage of the distraction and deliver a flurry of strikes. It moves away from the light of the crystals and once again melds into the darkness. Stealth: 8.
It appears behind Trill and slashes at her back with its hooked claws. Attack: 21 Damage: 14 psychic damage if you roll a Perception lower than its stealth, or Attack: 10 Damage: 11 psychic if you roll higher Perception than its stealth.

Shadow demons do extra damage if they have advantage on the attack (2d6->4d6). It can hide as a bonus action if it is in darkness. If you can't see it, it has advantage on the attack. I did both rolls at the same time to speed up the process.
This thing was going to kill one of them if they didn't do a lot more damage than they had so far. What he wouldn't give for a magic bow to fall from the heavens now.
Aimon kneels up again and while the shadow demon is busy attacking Trill fires a bolt. He then ducks back under cover wondering if it might be best to leap on this creature with his rapier and a dagger instead.
(Sneak Attack: Attack: 23 Damage: 19 with damaged half due to resistance = 9 and a Cunning Action attempt to Hide = Stealth: 25 )
((Ok, thanks. Is it still on her or does it move away from Trill where she'd get an opportunity attack? Would it be at disadvantage if its spook hiding?))
